The 2026 Season Pack for F1 25 can (and should) signify a new paradigm for annual sports games, especially as a renewed and sustainable business model. But even if it's just an isolated initiative, it proves to be a wise decision by expanding on what is already excellent, offering new features inherited from the real version that improve on-track competitiveness with smaller, more agile cars, without erasing what already worked well in the original edition.

Codemasters got their way and gained something highly valuable: time. This update added the content needed to satisfy the appetite for an F1 game featuring the 2026 season, and the result is solid—even with some limitations regarding the game modes available with the current teams and regulations. It is an offering aimed at the most dedicated F1 enthusiasts, and if that describes you, you won't be disappointed. While all eyes are on the revamped F1 27, there is still plenty of racing and competition to be had in the coming months.

F1 25: 2026 Season Pack is a well-executed evolution which mirrors the sport’s real-life regulation changes, improving the experience but not radically changing it.

If you're a fan of F1 and stick with it through and through, then the 2026 Edition DLC is a must for only $30. There's a solid amount of extras that come with this, and it's not just simply getting the cars to use in time trials or custom race. You can actually engage with My Team and Career with this DLC. As long as you manually engage these changes on the car, you'll be satisfied with your purchase unless you only care about a roster update and the MADRING. Setting the deployments to automatic would be selling yourself short of the experience and actually understanding the way the drivers race in 2026. Mimicking the driving experience each season for these drivers is what Codemasters and EA have always done best. This may change your mind on the actual regulation changes.

EA Sports F1 25 2026 Season Pack emphasizes strategic depth over immediate spectacle. Its changes do not feel dramatically different behind the wheel, but the revamped battery management system and the new Overtake Mode make races significantly more tense and tactical. The expansion does a poor job of explaining its new mechanics, yet it is far from being a simple reskin.

The 2026 Season pack for F1 25 is pretty much a must-have for fans of the sport, keeping the title as authentic as it can be with regards to teams and regulation changes. But caveats such as Co-op Career not being supported will no doubt be disappointing to some.

This year’s F1 Game may not be a standalone in the series but it makes up for it with cars that feel completely different to last year and a new F1 Track. Also at half the price of a full standalone game it is definitely worth the money for long time F1 Fans and Fans of the F1 game series like myself. I hope that in the future, Codemasters will allow players to drive the new cars in two player career mode. Although players may struggle to adapt to the new cars i think they are worth trying out.
