This is quite possibly the best racing game I've ever played. It doesn't have the glitz of some other racing games, but it has one thing that's been sorely neglected. Speed. Lots of speed.

The framerate and action more than makes up for the slightly less than average graphics. This is a title that no self-respecting N64 owner should pass up. Nintendo has created the first true N64 classic since Mario 64.

In the grand scheme of things, F-Zero X will probably appeal to older gamers more, who want pure racing over arcade frills and still have a soft spot fot the original F-Zero. An excellent update to the grand daddy of cyber racers that only suffers under its generic look.

The best racing series ever thanks to a level of speed no other series has accomplished. I adore F-Zero and its 3 AAA entries all destroy the Mario Kart entries of the same eras. Nintendo made a huge mistake by going all in on Mario Kart when F-Zero was substantially better.

I like the 3D aspects of this game and the stages are very interesting. I also like the characters and vehicles very much.

It's fine. I kind of like the original better. This one technically is better- it runs and controls better with more in-depth mechanics behind it- But it feels like a pubescent version of what would become F-Zero GX.

F-Zero X is a terrific update of a classic game that deserves the attention of anyone who owns an N64.

One of the best racing games of all time. A timeless Classic! The Wipeout games was almost equally great.

A little more innovation would have been appreciated, but this is one case where a more or less straight update of the SNES original was all that was needed to produce a great game.

You'll love the speed of the play whether it's four player or single. Also there's plenty of options including an elimination death match, time trial etc. I like the fact that you have to unlock the game. It kind of keeps you interested that way.

Comparing F-Zero X with other futuristic racers on the Nintendo 64 is rather difficult, since neither Extreme-G nor AeroGauge are in the same league. In a nutshell, Nintendo has another winner on its hands. One of the finest futuristic racers to grace a console.

Practically flawless from a technical standpoint, the biggest thing missing from F-Zero X is that it lacks a soul.

F-Zero was fun, but it got old real quick. It looked great and it had interesting characters and vehicles, but after a few races, I got tired of it. It would takes a few weeks before I got back into the game. It is better than the SNES version.

i like this game, well i love all games that is futuristic race with badass vehicles, but f zero x lost the identity all times that launched a new game, is a good game, but he was different from the first f zero, the x game became too much wipeout, wipeout is a awesome game we know, but these games must respect the main identity and not copy each other... i not know if they made the game too close by knowing wipeout, or it was just an accident, maybe what i think it could be a bad judgment. f zero x was NOT the fastest game in N64, he is brutally slower than extreme-g, but still very fast and dynamic. is a fun game, but he had too much weak spots, mainly when we compare to all other futuristic race games present in N64. beside the fanaticism... f zero x not deserve to be higher than score 7, because he was too decomposed, the scenario was a giant low resolution bitmap extended, simple tracks, low amount polygon, strange physic rules (like a magnetic float ship that lost the control over the ice and other things), the mass is poor compared to other games, dry controls and everything became 32 bit design when get distance. N64 was a powerful machine from that generation, we know they was able to made this game much better. what was wonderful in this game was the options, a lot of ships and basically all of then are nice, the design was very sexy and even the "ugly" ships was nice ships, he had many tracks (sometimes one or other was too much similar, but still nice), and was fast enough anyway, this game still rocks for me, f zero x was the last good game from the saga, because gx tryed to copy extreme-g speed and dynamic, nintendo need to know, these games must be what they are, if try to copy other game, this one never will be better than the other. by my taste i give 5, but i know this game deserve 7 by the technical side.

Insanely hard game for masochists. Pure punishment in video game form. The Dark Souls of racing games.
SummaryIt's you against 29 other machines competing for the title of F-Zero X Champion. You're racing at speeds of over 1,000 km/h high above the atmosphere. Your competition comes from every corner of the galaxy and won't shed a tear at the thought of smashing you off the track. With four-player simultaneous gameplay and the Rumble Pak accesso...
