Eventide 2: The Sorcerer's Mirror
Eventide 2: Sorcerer’s Mirrors could quite possibly be one of the worst puzzling adventures from Artifex Mundi. It’s still not awful though, just nowhere near as good value for money or as stimulating as others.
Overall, for $9.99 Artifex Mundi has put together a point and click adventure game that relies on its strengths of presentation, and now also innovation, to entice your wallet to open up and relinquish some of your cash. Despite some drawbacks, such as issues with gameplay and little no replay value, there are some incredibly enjoyable aspects to be found within should you have the patience to find it. Rarely will we see puzzle games such as this done with such level of quality and detail, so if you have an extra $9.99 burning a hole in your pocket and you want a quality puzzle game, then look no further than Eventide 2.
I would argue that Eventide 2 is one of, if not, the best Artifex Mundi games available on Xbox at this point. I truly hope that future titles share Eventide 2's trend of improving on previous games. Honestly though, you'll have to have played the previous titles to appreciate the changes this title has made.

I am addicted to these games I find them utterly charming and would play the entire library if it was available on the Xbox One. There are many more of these games available from the developer and as they trickle out to the Xbox I will buy every one. Love them!

Eventide 2 takes the standard Artifex Mundi point & click gameplay and tries to innovate a little. The improved item combining mechanic fits the casual nature of the title perfectly. Meanwhile, a new morality system attempts to let players add some personality to the story, but with little effect on the overall picture, its attempts to add replayability only succeed if you're after the relevant achievement. Outside of these changes, the standard hidden object and logic puzzle gameplay returns and mostly works well, with just a small issue causing some frustration. The result is another solid effort that will keep new and returning players entertained for a handful of hours.
