Evan’s Remains is a beautiful, cleverly designed experience with themes that stretch far beyond its premise of a girl on a mission in uncharted territory. Spending time with it made me ponder the nature of gameplay and of how storytelling is used in games in a way few others have.

I can’t over-emphasise how pretty it all is. The backgrounds are wonderful, the meticulously detailed character animations on par with the best I’ve seen. That the vast majority of this game, including not just the art and writing but also its fabulous music, is all by one guy, is astounding.

Recomendado no. RE-CO-MEN-DA-DÍ-SI-MO ! Realmente vine a buscar un indie que se ve lindo con plataformas y una excusa para pasar de pantalla en pantalla y me regaló una historia muy atrapante y que sea un desarrollo latinoamericano es un plus. No dudes en darle una chance.

Evan's Remains is an example of a very atmospheric story that makes great use of pixel graphics, music, and puzzles for maximum immersion. And although the project is completed in three hours – it is clearly worth it, although the ending may not please everyone because of its final plot twist.

While the overly convoluted plot devolves into a straight visual novel near the end, until then you’ll be drawn in by the intuitive gameplay, vibrant side-scrolling world and the intriguing mystery that make Evan’s Remains such a satisfying puzzle platformer.

It's a shame to take great graphics and an interesting premise and ultimately squander them, but that doesn't mean Evan's Remains is absolutely horrible. Given a bit of tweaking it could have been great. As it stands, it's an iniquity you can finish in a couple of hours if you're great at puzzles. Just don't expect to get too engrossed.

A fancy title must always be attached to a fancy game. Evan's Remains has a certain quality of intrigue to it that is evident from first glance. Gorgeous pixel detail, an isolated environment, and a keen focus on human psychology and heart. Suffering from some issues with landing the endpoint and gameplay prowess, it will inevitably be a selective title for many, notably those with the mindset that story always goes before gameplay. But for those looking for a thought-provoking, immersive game that costs less than a standard theater ticket, the search for Evan is definitely filling in those aspects.

The scarcity of the game’s puzzles is frustrating, because, slight repetition aside, every one of those puzzles is cleverly designed.

My Video Review is available here: ****/Pj_M5VXlnqc Is Evan’s Remains the game that is worth investing your money and time in? One can find many positives there - mysterious complex story, relaxing gameplay, puzzle design, gradual learning curve, responsive controls, beautiful graphics and nice music. There are also few negatives that I have found while playing - the puzzles become quite repetitive sooner or later due to simplicity of their design, the adventure lovers might not like frequent puzzle platforming sequences and vice versa, hard to follow for children and absence of dubbing. Pros: - story - relaxing - puzzle design - gradual learning curve - controls - graphics - music Cons: - creeping stereotype - the mix of genres is not for everyone - hard to follow for children - no dubbing If you are looking for a pure adventure or pure puzzle platformer better look somewhere else. But if you would like to try a puzzle platformer with a strong story you are on the right address here. I personally have enjoyed playing Evan's Remains and I am therefore giving it Thumb Up and VideoGaming Father’s Index 7+ out of 10 - recommended.

For a puzzle platformer, its decent. I dont enjoy puzzle games and have no clue how this game is in my library, but I see the appeal for people who do like these games

A very beautiful story wrapped in puzzles... which I found boring. Well, I mean, I liked the plot, I liked the type of puzzles, but I didn't like the HUGE amount of dialogues, and the fact that all the puzzles were of the same type. I just got tired of this game at some point. It's interesting and deep, but it's incredibly tedious. Yes, I can still recommend it, even though I didn't enjoy it as much as I bought it for, but get it on sale, and only if you really like this type of game. "Let me try something new" I don't think, might work here. The text amount towards the end was just too much. And they even shoved in some nonsense after the credits. It's just not my game, not at all, although I did like the story itself.

Сюжет слабый и предсказуемый, геймплеи местами интересный, но загадки лёгкие. Анимации приятные.
