Drag x Drive
Without more variety or meaningful rewards, it’s a multiplayer experience that only feels worthwhile at a discount.
At just €20, it justifies its existence as a showcase for the Switch 2’s versatility and as a succinct slice of fun in its own right.
While Drag x Drive breeds little contempt with its inspired concept, it fumbles the ball not merely with its paltry offerings but its demanding, and even frustrating, motion controls. An interesting novelty, but ultimately a clumsy showcase for Switch 2's mouse controls.

It’s a cute novelty, but after 20 to 30 minutes you’ll be annoyed by the tedious controls and the lack of content (in fact, playing the demo pretty much gives you almost everything the game has to offer). With a bit more development time and a smaller price (around the 10 dollar mark in my opinion), it could have been a decent game, but what we have instead is a below average, failed experiment.

Drag X Drive is a mouse control game exclusive to the Switch 2. It's definitely got its ups and downs, so lets go over them: Pros: Probably the best part is that its the cheapest Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, being only 20 dollars, that alone removes a lot of buyers remorse. Another good part is it's unique gameplay, where you use a combination of mouse and motion controls, this is actually pretty cool, like high fiving your teammates after making a point. Lastly, the game has cool customization, where you can customize your "wheelchair", jersey number, color and more. Now, the cons. This game definitely has some notable flaws, including the fact that the only control option is mouse mode. Now, that might sound nice, but when you play it for more than 20 minutes at one time (which isn't a lot at all for almost any other game) your hands and arms just get tired and it gets really uncomforatble. If they made it so you didn't have to use the wheel motion mouse mode only, then this game would deserve more of a 7.5, maybe 8 since its only 20 dollars, but this alone brings down the game so much, If you can't play a game for more than 20 minutes in a sitting period, than that destroys the game. I get what they were trying to do, but it really just didn't work. Another flaw is just lack of content, this hasn't been much of a problem with me, but I can see it being one for others. There's just not a whole lot to do, when you boot up the game it takes you to a park online, no main menu, just instantly, then other than playing the main 3 v 3 game, there's 2 small mini games that happen every few minutes after waiting for a game to start. Other than that, that's basically all the game is. Now, again, the 20 dollar price tag does save it for me, if it was anymore than that, I would put this game at a 5 max, and if there were options for controls, then probably a 7 or 8. Sadly, there isn't any I don't except them to add one. Thanks for reading.

Drag X Drive focuses solely on gameplay and its mission to demonstrate the potential of the mouse-based Joy-Con controller, forgetting to convey its undeniable depth of gameplay with the graphic and artistic tools that Nintendo usually masters, and which are almost a distinctive signature. It's not a "gimmick game": the idea works, the technique is well-executed and promising, but it would have deserved a series of more thoughtful, enriched and varied touches and modes.

I have sunk around 30 hours as of writing and all I can say is this is the most fun I've had with my Switch 2 so far. I can't understand the low review scores at all. It's a novel experience with fun innovative controls (if at first challenging), satisfying haptics and surprisingly deep gameplay. The game is just a tonne of fun, challenging and only becomes more enjoyable over time as you master the mechanics. It's a totally new experience and I've found myself going back to it instead of playing Mariokart or Bananza. It's not for everyone but if you're a fan of motion control games it's definitely worth your time.

Drag x Drive is one of those unique Nintendo titles that makes use of the new capabilities of the Nintendo Switch 2, but unfortunately falls short in several areas. Its premise is undeniably original, yet the lack of content and game modes will hurt its longevity.

For anyone with an interest in sports games and novel control schemes, Drag x Drive is well worth checking out, but you’ll likely need to do so soon. I worry that, as the novelty fades, online servers – which were already pairing me with plenty of Japanese players – will begin to dry up, leaving only barren parks and bot matches for those who dabble at a later date...That Nintendo continues to experiment with multiplayer oddities should be commended. A little more attention lavished on the looks and ancillary elements could have made Drag x Drive something special. But in its current form, it still feels like a testing ground for what the Switch 2’s mouse controls can handle, and one that may not linger for very long.

Unfortunately, Drag x Drive just doesn’t deliver the joy and excitement that I expect from a game developed by Nintendo.

A bafflingly under-designed multiplayer game that features some classic Nintendo innovation in terms of controls, but deeply unengaging presentation and zero longevity or variety.

Drag x Drive, Nintendo's new motion-controlled sports game for the Switch 2, attempts to innovate with a unique take on futuristic wheelchair basketball but ultimately falls short. Despite solid online multiplayer, the repetitive gameplay and finicky mouse controls prevent it from becoming a compelling experience. Lacking a strong story mode and distinct character, it feels like an undercooked concept that fails to capture the classic Nintendo charm.

DragXDrive is one of Nintendo simplest yet most delightful offerings in many years. Taking the simple concept of simulating movement in a wheelchair and combining it with “shooting hoops,” DragXDrive is a delightful experience which reminds me back of a simpler time in Nintendo’s history, where Pikmin and Luigi’s Mansion were fine being nothing more than delightful little experiences which took full advantage of a single mechanic. There are not too many games quite like DragXDrive..

Drag x drive is fun and for the price point it's def worth it imo. Lack of a ranked mode will cause the game to die out fast however
