I was seriously looking forward to buy and play this expansion, watching youtube content and news (even bought Warlock in D2). Before buy, I was going to try new skill trees on old character because I was so excited, but oh my, how surprised was I. THE GREED of Blizzard is endless. They put 1/4 of skills of all character behind paywall. They revamped whole skill tree and they just choose some of the skills (the most efficient ones in many cases) and offer you to unlock those if you pay (50$ equivalent in my country). So let's sum it up, you already paid for characters in main game and first expansion, but suddenly those are incomplete unless you give them money. I don't mind to pay for new content, but it has to have value, but here, it is like they sell you things they sold you before with smile on their faces. This is new level of greed and I refuse to support that on principle. PoE2 and Grim Dawn are waiting for ARPG fans and nobody is trying to rob you in daylight!

Now this is a good expansion that have a lot of improvements compared to the previous expansion which was a disappointment. I would give it a 9 or 10 but right now there are still have some bugs.

I can't even play this. I spent the first 30 minutes playing for like 2 minutes and watching 28 minutes of cutscenes and walking around towns talking to people. I don't even want to play this anymore its just terrible. There is a way to make a campaign where you still get to play the game, it doesn't have to be 90% storytelling, make it like 25% storytelling, so I actually get to play, instead of just screaming at the screen because I can't believe the "quest" I am on is to just walk around a town and talk to someone who just leads to some other area where you have to walk around and talk to someone.

A shockingly emotional end to the Diablo 4 story arc or at least the one started at base campaign. Phenomenal art direction, score, and some genuinely emotional moments carry Diablo into a new era. There continues to be lingering issues regarding gameplay however these are aspects that seem tied to the very DNA of this game that I can’t see changing in the near future. Overall this felt like a solid new entry into the franchise and a welcome return the form after the abysmal Vessel of Hatred DLC prior

We Are Gamers, Not Walking Wallets! A Rebellion Against Greedy Gaming Policies I am an old-school gamer who grew up with Diablo 1 and Diablo 2, spending countless sleepless nights in that dark, unique atmosphere. Back then, we used to buy a game and get a complete, finished experience; we respected the developers and the effort put into it. However, at the point we have reached today, I am truly sick and tired of the gaming industry (especially our beloved, long-standing franchises) treating players as nothing more than 'cash cows'.Today, we pay massive amounts of money for a base game and supposedly get the 'full version.' But the game isn't actually finished; half-baked stories and stripped-down features are sold back to us months later under the name of 'DLC' at exorbitant prices. We, as gamers, are not against high-quality expansion packs. In the past, when something was called an 'Expansion,' it added a brand-new vision and massive new content to the game; it was worth the money we paid. Now, pieces deliberately torn out of the core game are being sold back to us in fancy **** want a fairer DLC system! We do not accept monetization models where core content that should be in the base game is locked behind a paywall later. In a world where even some free-to-play games that only sell cosmetics have proven for years that this can be done fairly without exploiting the player, there is absolutely no excuse for the greed of these giant corporations.I am calling out to the gaming companies: Stop abusing our loyalty. You are destroying the legacy of old legends with your endless greed for money. Make a high-quality, fair, and complete game, and we will always give it the support it deserves. But if you continue to see us merely as walking wallets, you will completely lose that core fan base you rely on so much.

Just like D3 Reaper of Souls, this expansion will be a historic turning point. The new skills, item system, and campaign story are all very promising. However, players who are deeply attached to D2 may feel a bit disappointed. While it does incorporate some of the best elements of Diablo II, there’s no denying that its core framework is that of D3

Fascinated by the new Diablo expansion, I immerse myself in its dark world full of mysteries, powerful enemies, and epic challenges. Each location hides secrets, and the new mechanics make the gameplay even more engaging. Discovering the story, developing your character, and obtaining legendary items brings great satisfaction. This expansion not only builds on familiar elements but also introduces a freshness that keeps you hooked for long hours.

Slow and boring as hell. This game literally put me to sleep while playing on my bed on the Steamdeck. Literally. I'm not even joking. It's that boring.

Je viens de finir l'extension, malgré quelques moments redondant. J'ai bcp aimé l'histoire, je le conseille juste pour l'histoire.

The best of Diablo IV ever played. Epic music, great plot and grim feeling, finally.

Seems alright so far. Just beat the campaign. Nothing too surprising or interesting really. Kinda just found myself zoning out half the time with the amount of dialogue scenes. Lag spikes even on a 5080 entering certain areas. Really thought they'd fix this by now. Seems they are more interested in adding more 67% off bundles in the shop then making a meaningful story.

Sluggish gameplay, gear is impossible to get which you need to salvage just to put affixes on other gear or make gem slots. They slowed it down so much and gear drops are complete garbage that I already have diablo fatigue and its only a few days in. Nothing is explained, sigils are supposedly part of a set but there is nothing that tells you that. Now you have to jump through a ton of hoops just to get a cache that has nothing in it thats useful. They made the game a ton more work for ZERO PAYOFF, its arduous and unfulfilling and I am normally a player who plays every single toon each season. I doubt I will even last long enough to gear up this toon (Warlock) as I just get frustrated and walk away after zero improvement due to zero gear. YOU CAN TELL THE DEVS DO NOT PLAY THE GAME AND THAT THEY DIDNT PLAY PRIOR TO RELEASE. Also, whats up with female characters getting more masculine and the male characters more feminine, both choices are horrible.

Blizzard’s "visionary" marketing team has truly outdone themselves. It’s a stroke of pure genius to announce a "global skill rework" for all players and then lock the actual skills behind a $40 paywall.
"Lord of Hatred" is the most honest title they’ve ever come up with - it perfectly describes the player’s relationship with the developers. I love how my legacy characters are now essentially permanent demo versions, staring at grayed-out nodes like beggars outside a window.Imagine having the audacity to sell a balance patch as a "premium expansion." It’s bold, it’s cynical, and it’s peak Blizzard. Why bother with actual game design when you can just hold the level cap hostage and charge for the privilege of clicking three new buttons? Truly, the most terrifying demon in the Diablo universe is the CFO’s bonus structure. 0/10. The only thing they "reworked" was the speed at which money leaves your wallet.

I'd like to preface this by mentioning that I played the game on PC with a PS5 Controller. I was quite surprised by this expansion. The game really got me hooked this time around. D4 + Vessel of Hatred were ok, I liked the storylines for both, but the setup that those took for Lord of Hatred now make a lot of sense. I was just wanted to play more. Some of the twists in the story were quite unexpected, and the final fight was amazing. I give this an 8 because overall, it was fantastic. However, there is still a pretty major memory leak in the game on PC that **** up a lot of my ram. This has been in the game since D4 launched and has still not been resolved. Gameplay wise, I wish I would have died a bit more often in fights. I played on Penitent (I wanted to do torment 1 or 2 but they are still locked..) and even though it was challenging, I barely had to use any potions. The fights were amazing, but I felt, at least on this difficulty, that enemies just did not do enough damage for me to feel threatened. Besides that, I am pleased with my purchase of the expansion, and I await the next one where hopefully it sets up a big fight with Baal before an even more epic setup with Diablo.

This DLC boss instantly dragged me back to Season 1’s worst days. Sluggish controls and invisible one-shot skills make it pure frustration, and every death forces you into long, unskippable cutscenes just to retry. As a longtime player, it’s the first Diablo boss that’s actually made me consider refunding.

I didn't make a review for Diablo 4 or Vessel of Hatred but the stories for both **** and the story of Lord of Hatred **** too. Trying to make Lilith the sympathetic bad guy is so played out at this point. Heaven bad but hell good is reddit coded. As for game play it's still mid and nothing to worth talking about.

D4 Vessel of Hatred – World-class ARPG for those seeking smooth, relaxing gameplay. Audio & Visuals: The soundtrack in this expansion is world-class. Combined with an unmatched visual consistency and technical fluidity, the presentation is simply peerless. System Overhauls: The changes to various systems feel like a massive breath of fresh air and give me a great reason to dive back in. Having played every season so far, I’m genuinely happy with the direction of these updates. Quality of Life: Many changes are truly for the better—even small details, like being able to hire mercenaries in town or having the blacksmith right next to the portal, make a huge difference. Animations: The new character animations are top-tier. They feel fresh and new while remaining perfectly consistent with the established aesthetic of the other classes. The Journey vs. The Grind: I haven't reached the endgame yet, so I expect the journey will be significantly longer this time. That said, it might still get repetitive as quickly as previous seasons. The difference is that I likely won't progress as "far" as before, probably ending my season at the same 2-week mark. Personally, I get the most joy from building a character from scratch up to Torment 2; after that, the grind loses some of its satisfaction. Story: The plot feels a bit juvenile at times, but there were moments where I was actually curious to see what happens next—something that has never happened to me in any previous edition of the game. Summary: This game is pure pleasure. As a loyal fan, I’m thrilled that the developers have offered so much high-quality content in this expansion.

Was ok until I realised they have literally locked all off the good nodes on your talent tree behind a paywall to buy the new expansion. Even playing the base game classes and not the new ones. So greedy, literally uninstalled on the spot. Never bothered to write a review before but here we are.

This latest Diablo expansion is hands down the best one yet. The developers definitely had a reason to be so confident. Both the campaign and the overall game improvements are top-notch

I'm having a blast with this expansion! The campaign was super engaging, the new art and music and top notch and the two new classes are a lot of fun. The D4 Paladin is my favorite version of paladin in any game ever!

Everything about this expansion is fantastic. The music, the story, the new classes and, of course, the revamped endgame for the more dedicated, hardcore players all stand out. Highly recommended.

I think Blizzard made a lot of really great changes to the game. It has been awhile and we've required a lot of patience, but it feel like this version is worth sticking around for. The campaign is really good, but I think what makes this expansion the best is the war room, the skill trees for end-game progression, the charms, the horadric cube and the reworked class skill trees. All of this pretty much goes to making the game feel pretty cohesive, structured and complete. And with 8 classes in the game and with 5-8 builds per class, that's a lot of replayability right there. Also, the Warlock is real good.

It's good to don't be a **** if you like ARPGS. Just play it, a decent enough story, endgame is endgame you kill **** rinse, repeat, enjoy.
