All in all, Darksiders: Warmastered Edition is a great port of a good game. While it's not necessarily innovative, it is well executed and uniquely presented, something that still holds up well after almost 10 years since its original release. Not everything in the title has aged well, but it still plays and works as well as intended. The only letdown is the price tag of $30 when the Warmastered Edition arrived for $20 on all other platforms almost three years ago. In any case, Darksiders: Warmastered Edition is a great game that's worth experiencing for the first time — or once again on the Switch.

Anyone who wants a quality Zelda-style action adventure game on their Switch is going to be better off with Okami HD. Darksiders: Warmastered Edition is a polished and shiny bronze medal. Fighting monsters is as standard can be, and what keeps things stimulating is the variety of the environment, puzzle solving, spectacle, and the exploration to be had. It is satisfying to stumble on a hidden chest and find some upgrade that War could use as it is in most adventures. Often entertaining but not exactly emotionally engaging, Darksiders takes itself too seriously.

I like the story of the game very much, the atmosphere of the game is great, I think the characterizations are great and I liked the gameplay in general, the game level designs is great and the variety of enemies and fighting styles is good, I liked the good variety of combat weapons. I like that the game has a puzzle, the graphics are excellent, the graphics of the cutscenes are also cinematic and beautifully done, the story of the game is excellent, the game bugs were very very few, the user interface of the game is excellent, as well as its speed, and a series of achievements and items in There is a game that encourages the player to play more, in general I like the game very much.

I have not replayed through the Warmastered Edition on Switch as I write this, but I have played it some — enough that I feel ready to report that the game is still great but that this release is quite simply a direct port to the Switch with no new features or changes that I can discern.

This game is the perfect combination of hack and slash with puzzle, action-adventure and exploration gameplay. Fans of God of War, Devil May Cry, Bayonetta and Legend of Zelda will feel right at home with this game. The inspiration from the above games is obvious, but Darksiders does not copy them i a bad way; the game is its own great and unique experience. THQ Nordic did a fantastic job by porting the first game of one of their best franchises onto Switch. For those who missed the original or any of the Warmastered Edition versions, now is the time to jump in one of the greatest action-adventure **** the go.

Overall, Darksiders is dated and a little embarrassing, but it’s also surprisingly good. It’s a testament to the robust design choices that Vigil Games made when developing their original title, that each of its parts holds up after a decade of innovation in gaming.

While not the definitive version, Darksiders: Warmastered Edition is no slouch on the Nintendo Switch. Whether played in graphics or performance mode, docked or handheld, it’s still an outstanding version of an already outstanding game.

Darksiders Warmastered Edition marks the return of the Darksiders series and its arrival on the Nintendo Switch after landing in other platforms. It's true that it doesn't bring anything new compared to its original version but what is here is a game that features a fun gameplay, very good boss fights and a very nice-looking art style, it just needs to fix its occasional crashing problem but for those who are not familiar with the Darksiders series, this will be a good introduction.

A first-time player here. I missed this one back in 2010 and I was hyped to get it on the Switch. As advised in one of the reviews I switched to high-performance (handheld mode) and I immediately experienced an improvement in gameplay and experience. I think it's a pretty great port at a great price point. I would have paid full price for this, honestly.

It's a decent game and a brilliant remaster of it remaster. It's not very original, but it's a nice blend of Devil May Cry, God of War and a bit of Zelda and Metroidvania thrown in for good measure. The controls are somewhat clunky, but serviceable. Combat, while not very deep or precise, is fairly entertaining. And then you get to the spider level, and the whole thing goes belly-up: the environments get exponentially harder to navigate; there are suddenly small enemies that swarm you in ways that have not been the case earlier in the game; and the final boss is frustrating in ways unrivalled by previous bosses. After dying about a bazillion times, I finally gave up on the thing.

Worst game I ever played period Input lag of at least 1/4 of a second and inputs often just dont register Cannot skip any of the very bland and cliche cut scenes Ugly menu, looks like some jpgs just put on an ugly background And yes I know it's old but can they not just put a little amount of work in this port to cover some stupid inconveniences? Only good thing are the puzzles. Just play a Zelda game if you want that and infinitely more fun
