Not a great value package, really. [Apr 2016, p.90]

D/Generation HD is a game that is a product of the early 90s. Story? Not much. Scenario? Ridiculous. However, what it does bring from that era is character and gameplay that all too often today are replaced by graphical flashiness. This is an unashamedly retro experience and even with the (gamebreaking) bugs we found, the urge to finish the game remains strong.

I wouldn’t have expected that I would enjoy this game quite as much as I did, but I have to say, it was probably one of the best games of it’s type that I’ve ever played, not to mention that it’s absolute proof that with a little bit of TLC, even a fairly old game can be re done and still manage to look, feel and play better than a lot of recent games.

D/Generation HD is a game that everyone should try. Younger gamers might find it frustrating but that can be avoided by doing research into its history, watching some gameplay and examining the tutorial.
