The added bonuses in gameplay, such as critical hits and non-linear play, are what make this game definitely worth checking out. So get out your dancing shoes, and start slashing to the beat.

Blade in the end disappoints with frustratingly cheap gameplay that offers little fun.

Blade lacks the energy of the film, the feel of the comic, and the standards set by other games in its genre.

In the distant past, it was very scary to play it as a child, so I never tried this game and thought it was a passing game of average quality. But many years later, I remembered about this game and decided to play it. She turned out to be a hidden gem, great music, a variety of weapons, an interesting headshot system, a sword fight, there is some variation in passing and several endings. A great and underrated game.

So as a fan of the blade movies this game isnt to bad. Graphics wise the game is not bad at all for a PS1 title, story wise not sure what the story is, gameplay wise the action and all is great once you get used to it and same goes for the controls the controls however are very annoying at times you either go to fast or to slow and trying to walk straight with the camera at the side is a bit annoying. Overall the game isnt bad at all but the controls are a bit rough for today standards

One of the greatest PS1 games and awesome game about my favourite comic book hero - Blade.

This is old-school gaming -- it feels like Urban Chaos, looks like the first Tomb Raider, and smells like a bomb.

Blade is a kick-ass hero in the comics and movies, but take away the "kick" and what you're left with adequately describes this game.
35
An ugly, late-as-hell game with a lousy framerate and confusticated control. I dunno. Whys and wherefores shouldn't be my department. Just don't buy this.
33
The actual game is such a mess that even hardcore action gamers will think twice about ridding the world of vampires.
32
Tell everyone you meet not to buy or rent this game. Ever.

If this game had analog controls then maybe it would be playable but this is frustrating trash.

SummaryActivision has enjoyed a pretty strong track record when it comes to translating comic books and movies into game form, but it's failed on both accounts here.
