The Brave and the Bold is a classic 2D beat 'em up that doesn't take itself too seriously. A graphical candy that will come to an end too soon and in the easiest way possible.

The Batman: The Brave and the Bold – The Videogame for DS is a fun game that recalls classic 16-bit platformers. You can play as various heroes, each with different abilities, face bosses in diverse stages, and the gameplay is solid. The game doesn’t get a perfect score for two reasons: it lacks real difficulty, since dying only sends you back to the checkpoint, making lives almost useless; and the story is shallow, with the villain simply trying to do evil. Even so, it is aimed at a younger audience and focuses on fun. It deserves more recognition and visibility, being a true hidden gem on the DS.

Growing up with the show, I decided to try out the video game tie-in for the Nintendo Wii. And as Batman games go, this one ain't half bad. It's a 2-D beat 'em up that combines minor platforming with energetic combat to create a fast paced and thrilling experience. That is, if you treat the game more like a relaxing romp rather than an ultimate challenge. Because while there is ton of polish put into the theming and the combat system, the overall adventure is pretty easy. There are little to no consequences for dying, as you'll simply lose cash for upgrades after respawning. Though it doesn't get any better during the boss fights, because you can't even collect money in those levels. There is not a smidge of difficulty to be found. You can be as reckless as you want and still win the day. Despite the Batman possessing a solid move set and plenty of powerful weapons to unlock, the game is ridiculously forgiving, to the point that it makes PokePark look like Dark Souls. But you set those disappointments aside, you'll begin to notice how relaxing it is to play this game. Their's full voice acting and smooth animation, to make you feel like you're watching an episode from the show. You can summon other DC heroes to tear up the battlefield when you're swarmed by enemies. The level design has plenty of variety from big cities to alien planets. And plenty of secret treasure vaults to unlock by returning to previous levels with new gadgets. It may not be grand adventure, but it's a pretty good time. It feels good to crush hundreds of enemies after a stressful day. I recommend this game to those who are looking for a nice, feel good superhero adventure.

If you watch the cartoon itself this game would be even better for you. This game works perfect on the wii and has a good story. Recommended for people that watch the cartoons.

Tight controls and cheeky humor make Brave and the Bold an easy recommendation for bat and brawler fans alike. Accessible and entertaining, it's also a perfect fit for –familyplay.

It is a lot of fun, optimized for co-op play and geared for the younger audience who might not "get" the darker side of the bat.

Batman: The Brave and the Bold is equal parts classic beat-em-up and tribute to the beloved animated series. It's a brawler that anyone, genre fans included, can pick up and have a good time with. For fans of the TV show it's a must own, replicating the series' charm and campy wit with all the same writing, voice talent and art style.

As far as good looks and presentation are concerned, Batman: The Brave and the Bold is a fine game, but it's way too simple and easy to appeal to an experienced audience.

A great sense of humor and flashy style make the Caped Crusader's latest adventure entertaining, despite the lack of challenge.

Batman: The Brave and the Bold takes place over four chapters, each separated into a handful of levels. You can grab a second controller and team up with a friend or family member, but you might not want to subject them to the boredom.

for sure the wii was made for this kinda game. cartoony, funny, almost childish but with semi-challenging controls and backstory. highly recommended..............

This game was perfect for my four and a half year old... I can't imagine adults getting much out of it (except some fun with the banter and animations), but for a young kid it is perfect - he gets a huge sense of achievement, loves being Batman, and can actually progress through levels. A great buy for little kids; I would not recommend otherwise, not as a gaming experience at least - although the atmosphere is good light hearted fun
