Virtual reality can make gaming a much more physically active activity. This is a must buy if you are looking for a top tier and very polished VR experience. The story isn't the most engaging, but the combat/ambience most definitely is. The environments are great looking, especially the water, and have some of the best visuals I've seen on the platform. The climbing mechanics work great and help to encourage seamless exploration around the gorgeous environments. I also wanted to mention how much I liked the BGM, it is always a pleasant surprise when a great game has great BGM. I have played almost all of the top tier VR games on the PSVR and I must also mention that this game has some pretty engaging enemy A.I., they are more aggressive than what I typically come across and that does make the combat more engaging/fun, imo. There were certain moments when I was on the brink of death in the thick of aggressive melee combat, and the experience actually had my adrenaline pumping. Again, this is was a top tier VR experience, and if you have a PSVR2, this is a must buy.

Arken Age delivers clever VR-first gameplay design for a great sci-fi adventure. The intense motion makes this unsuitable for VR newcomers and the narrative isn't especially compelling, yet the vibrant presentation and rewarding combat makes this easier to overlook. Between combat's great integration of haptic feedback, strong enemy variety and satisfying kills, Arken Age is an easy recommendation.
