Arcadegeddon has thrilling gameplay and a lot of guns, stages and enemies. It’s a blast, although some people may feel that there aren’t a lot of features to keep you attached to the game. It may feel that you're always doing the same stuff and after a few hours.

I cannot help but appreciate how Arcadegeddon hooked me into this really player-friendly loot shooter. The arcade-y elements are replayable, rewarding, and worth playing with friends. Arcadegeddon hits the spot as an MMO with roguelite elements with an awesome arcade aesthetic. But, I want more. Much more. If Arcadegeddon is to succeed in the MMO/roguelite space in the longer term, some of the advancement mechanics (such as preserving progress of longer runs) and lategame gameplay needs to be refined and expanded. I want additional modes like time trials that can easily and reliably completed in a single sitting. At the same time, I want some additional variety to make a three hour gauntlet exciting to reach. If you’re wanting a co-op loot shooter that’s easily picked up and played, look no further than Arcadegeddon. If you want something deeper, wait around a bit. Hopefully Arcadegeddon can hit that sweet spot, too.

After a year in early access, Arcadegeddon has evolved and expanded to become a good multiplayer shooter but failing to make a qualitative leap.

Arcadegeddon is a mildly fun time with friends, although its generic nature becomes dull after a while.

"Arcadegeddon" has become a colorful and fun third-person shooter with roguelite elements for your console and PC. Thus, you can get into the action well alone or with three friends. The graphic performance has become unique and original. The story also remains a means to an end most of the time, but can still convince. In terms of gameplay, you can experience good entertainment and a lot of action. We can only agree with the 1 million players in "Arcadegeddon" and invite you to try the title.

Arcadegeddon is a strong game with a lot to offer and with more to come post-launch, players can expect an ever-growing game that is addicting and easy to jump in and out of.

Arcadegeddon does not aspire to the replayability of The Binding of Isaac and does not flaunt the productive values of Returnal, but in its small way it succeeds very well in its intent: to create a roguelite characterized by an important arcade component, a fun cooperative mode and a structure different from all. his most distinguished colleagues. Sure, after all this time in Early Access we would have liked a little more refinement, but even with his minor flaws Arcadegeddon manages to entertain hours and hours.

ARCADEGEDDON delivers! Non Stop Action in both Single player and multiplayer. This game is beyond addicting, and fun for all ages. It starts simple: its a smash grab, loot, wipe out the enemy, solve puzzles, heal your crew, fight a boss type game... but it ramps up in challenge mostly at you or your groups' set pace. Everyone wants to earn those challenges and climb the leader board! A colorful unique world, it has a full load of levels, but I could always have more, as when you play it over 300 hours you just want even more of those unique ideas and experiences. DLC please. The music never gets old. Seriously. Phenomenal mixes and beats keep you churning and grinding up / leveling your weapons all through the night. I just can't get enough of this game... wanting more -levels, weapons (especially melee), and BOSSES! Yeah the story is light, and you need to do the NPC challenges to move it forward, it more than makes up for it in a solid gaming experience through the bosses. Worth it for the music alone, and seeing a fun, cyber-wack fresh environment with some serious to comical weaponry. I think far too many players are trying to speed rush through the levels and leaderboards. Sure it plays well this way, but I enjoy a medium pace and even just playing alone to explore the areas and get the challenges, seeing what I can do by myself without anyone there to save me. Definitely worth checking it out & especially playing with friends. VFX may not all be ground breaking but they fit well and are awesome -Joe VFX approved- ARCADEGEDDON delivers!

Fast-paced, 1 to 4 player fun! This game is great value and packs in a lot of content for the money. The developer is responsive (2 updates already -and counting- in only 2.5 weeks since launch) and the games' community is very enthusiastic and supportive. I highly recommend Arcadegeddon to any fan of shooters or co-op gameplay (it has PvP too!).

I had an incredible time with the game, and though I have put in a decent amount of hours. Even after getting my boss cleared, I am still going back and playing it again and again to try to get more of the collectables for killing them. I really hope that the launch goes well and that the servers hold up with the release of the game because frankly it's one of the most enjoyable experiences I have had in a long time. I hope we get more bosses released and new areas released over time, if this game gets some decent support I could see it growing. Right now some folk may be frustrated with only 4 bosses, and though the biomes are nice they do seem a little limited but for launch it is looking really impressive and I can't wait to see where it goes.

Although some rough edges make the early access status clear, it’s already a fast-paced and highly competitive bundle of fun that can only get better from here.[Issue#5, p.92]

The roguelike charm is present in Arcadegeddon and the gameplay is extremely polished. However, while the game pleases at first glance and can be an experience to share with friends online, the repetitive objectives take some of the shine off the unique identity and strong personality given to the game and hide rich content from players who decide not to invest so much time in the game.

Lots of fun, weapons feel unique and there is a lot of room for different play styles. Makes a great family battle night, and especially fun to play with a group of friends. Has some early bugs but I know the developers plan to work out the kinks as the game was just released, so still giving a 10/10. Great to see this new style from IllFonic and excited to see what this team has in store with coming titles!!!

Good- Great graphics and music. Tight gunplay. Unique setting Bad- Overall generic structure. The weapon and enemy variety isn't great. The story is really underdeveloped Thoughts- In a space as crowded as the multiplayer rogue-lite shooter genre, you better come correct if you’re going to take a stab at carving out your own audience. Thankfully, Arcadegeddon mostly does just that. While its central theme of standing up to modern sensibilities with creativity and uniqueness is somewhat undercut by the fact that Arcadegeddon’s own gameplay largely just ends up catering to modern multiplayer expectations, it’s something that is pretty easy to ignore most of the time. The combat comes in swinging with tight and speedy action. The cantankerous enemies and bosses are a blast to take on, and the perpetual loop of accomplishing newer and bigger challenges while improving on each and every run almost immediately falls into place. On top of that, it runs like a dream on the PS5 and I encountered no notable stability issues that I can recall. For 20 bucks, it’s a pretty solid package. I wish there was perhaps a tad more meat on the bone with the narrative and more of a willingness to buck current trends with its conventional weapons, level layouts, and overall structure, but if you’re looking for a slightly different spin on this tried-and-true format, you could certainly do a lot worse than Arcadegeddon.

The story is weird, but what ruins this completely is how absolutely stupidly online was designed. Short matches, yay! Ruined by the fact they chain together into insanely long runs and reset challenge progress if you leave, also I've never gotten new matchmaking as a staying player. Then there is the scoring, playing a team game with capture points and you focus on defending your mates on the point? Sorry you didn't score so you get less points than the losing team. What?? None of this even mentions the connection issues and lag.
