I like the aesthetic of the game and the soundtrack! The stages are fun and unique, but honestly the ending is disappointing and the bosses aren't great, still, i give it a 8-

el juego lo acabo de terminar completo y lo he jugado por el ps plus. me dispuse a jugarlo por que no lo juge en la epoca. y sinceramente me a parecido divertido y me lo e pasado como un enano capturando monos. pero... se nota que a nivel jugable y graficamente sobretodo el diseño de los personajes me a parecido que esta por debajo de muchos del genero como mario, crash bandicot etc... por no hablar del doblaje al castellano muy forzado parece como de IA. pero mi puntuacion a sido un 7 por que sabiendo que esta por debajo de muchos a conseguido que me lo pase bien jugando y en ningun momento se me a echo largo ni pesado y tambien por un poco de nostalgia.

The controls are outof this world and story? I would rather pretend that there's no story than assume that catching monkeys is even an idea.

Criei uma conta no Metacritic só pra avaliar um dos jogos que marcou minha infância, jogabilidade bastante divertida, os gráficos na época eram de impressionar, gosto muito da trilogia, espero q a Sony volte a lançar novos um dia

Una aventura de acción y plataformas que supuso un hito por su innovación en el control al permitir por primera vez el uso del joystick derecho del mando pero que representa a su vez su principal enemigo al crear innecesarios problemas en su ejecución.
Ape Escape se suele presentar como un juego referente de plataformas en la primera Play Station. Esto no es del todo correcto, ya que su mecanica principal consiste en utilizar gadgets para poder sortear obstaculos y atrapar a los monos, que son el principal reclamo del juego, dejando el salto en un segundo plano. Esos gadgets se utilizan con el joystick derecho siendo en muchas ocasiones no muy exactos en su ejecución, a la par de una cámara que, aun pudiendo utilizar con algún botón, no apoya a la visión del jugador. Su principal virtud radica en su extensión, muchos coleccionables que alargan la vida del juego y el encanto de los monos. Un buen juego que dista de alcanzar cotas sobresalientes por un control algo primitivo.
