Storylines that should naturally conclude are drawn out, leaving me with questions. While it doesn’t reach the heights of the first series, the return of Am I Being Unreasonable? is just tantalising enough to ensure I’ll be tuning in for the third instalment.

These interludes are crucial. I wonder how much mileage is left in the central joke, watching academics improvise answers to yet another inane or disrespectful question. After so many episodes, the result rarely surprises, the tension is missing. Depth appears when the inane crosses into the profound – like when questions about the nature of God or the implications of cloning yield something meatier.

Baby Reindeer is rewardingly complex, challenging our perceptions of what a victim looks like, and asking urgent questions about the support available to both mentally ill people and victims of stalking. It dwells in pockets of moral ambiguity and cuts even deeper into Gadd’s own shame and psyche than the stage original.

The result is a nuanced exploration of mental illness that extends empathy to both friends in equal measure. Big Mood's thought-provoking blend of dark comedy and drama dares to show what poor mental health can really be like. It is a rich sitcom that will linger with you.
