CIA: Season 140
Feb 20, 2026
It’s classic buddy cop stuff, a “Lethal Weapon” without the jokes, which is part of the problem. You can predict everything both Colin and Bill are going to say or do, and while both are credible actors with no shortage of charm, they’re bogged down by perfunctory writing.

Agatha Christie's Seven Dials: Season 130
Jan 15, 2026
The ending is new, and it is so convoluted and out-of-nowhere that one imagines Chibnall came up with it by throwing darts at a board full of random ideas. It’s not clever or witty or a satisfying surprise in a Christie-esque manner. Really, it’s rather insulting. .... Fortunately for Christie enthusiasts, there are plenty of alternatives to indulge in over this misfire.

All's Fair (2025): Season 110
Nov 4, 2025
Everyone in “All’s Fair” is a stock caricature from a man’s idea of a woman’s drama. It’s a cavalcade of wigs and screeching in search of truth, but Murphy seems to have lost the magic touch that made his work so appealing for so long. His snark has rotted into contempt, for audience and art alike.

Talamasca: The Secret Order: Season 170
Oct 24, 2025
Tonally and thematically, “Talamasca” is on surer ground than “The Mayfair Witches” was in its first season but still lags behind the astonishing feat pulled off with “Interview With the Vampire.” Yet that still signals a strong step forward for this Immortal Universe. .... As its own thing, too, there is a lot to enjoy.

Too Much: Season 180
Sep 5, 2025
When Jess and Felix spend all night watching movies and talking about themselves, it gives Dunham a chance to do some of her finest writing: funny, natural, a touch too honest and deceptively intimate. And there’s real heat here thanks to Stalter and Sharpe’s chemistry.

Nine Perfect Strangers: Season 240
Sep 5, 2025
Issues remain here, whether it’s the lack of punch in its satire of wellness and the elite embracing of quackery or the sheer length of it all (this is yet another show that could have been two episodes shorter, at the least, without losing anything of note.)

Lockerbie: A Search for Truth: Season 160
Sep 4, 2025
It’s not that “Lockerbie: A Search for Truth” is bad. Much of it is strikingly put together and Firth’s performance buoys those moments of emotion with skill and empathy. .... When the show cuts to the devastating news footage of the actual event, one can’t help but wonder if a documentary would have made more sense for telling this still-important story.

With Love, Meghan: Season 160
Sep 4, 2025
This perfectly pleasant and unchallenging show about hanging out with your friends and being a good hostess is the last thing that should be viewed as offensive or, heaven forbid, important.
