Black Mirror is a treat for TV and a show that Netflix should pin to its front page with pride. It’s one of those dramas that you finish watching and head to your desk, determined to pen something half as good, or sit back and think: “Good lord, that’s clever.”

There’s no artificial cliffhanger to mull over. As the final credits roll, you’re left to sit back in slack-jawed wonderment at a self-contained story of the highest order. ... Season 3 is one of the best seasons of television.

King devotees will devour this whole while fans of shows like Stranger Things will be immediately at home with its milieu. It’s fun, it’s chilling and it’s strangely comforting, too.

Fear of the Walking Dead is, at times, decidedly schlocky, but this time around, there’s a welcome emphasis on fleshing out the motivations and convictions of a new cast of characters who could become potential adversaries down the line.

This new version has too much colour and too little bite.

While APB might be a satisfying power fantasy, it’s not a satisfying story--yet. There’s only so much drone action you can stomach before the wooden characters and plastic smiles start to ring hollow.

Black Sails plays more like a courtroom drama than a jaunt on the high seas. It’s maddeningly earnest, stripped bare of personality and stuffed with dialogue that falls flat.

One questionable character aside, Homeland is off to a strong start and the new setting is a great change of scenery.
