This is obviously Todd Phillips trying to make a Scorsese film, more specifically the Wolf of Wall Street, but he's no Scorsese. However, it's watchable and mildly entertaining and sadly that's a rare thing for summer cinema.

The first half felt more like a giant trailer / compilation for other films that we're not actually watching. Very bizarre. The second half was confusing as to what the villains plan was. Maybe there's a good movie in there somewhere, but this isn't that version. Plus, the Joker was both underused and also a horrible performance, which may have prompted it being mostly cut out.

This was way better than I expected, but still basically a rehash of the first. Most comedy sequels are entirely unnecessary, but at least this one was entertaining enough.

I thought this was a very sweet, surprisingly deep film. Despite its whimsical flair, the characters and emotion really rang true for me. A pleasant surprise and a film I'll definitely recommend.

This movie had me hooked from the beginning, but the tonal shifts and lack of empathy I had for the characters really put me off toward the end. A noble effort, and one day I may revisit and like it more, but not the homerun I was hoping for based on the trailer.

I haven't had this much fun at a movie in a very long time! The plot gets a little thin toward the end, but the character and action and humor definitely make this a must see.
