This game is EXTREMELY unstable on the Switch. It crashes a lot, and at super inconvenient times. If you play through the whole game, it will probably crash about 15 times. And, the only time it autosaves is when you go into a city. It really should autosave when you go to sleep at night, with it being this bug laden. And you can't save the game without exiting the game. There's no "Save" option...there's only a "Save and Quit" option. I usually lose about 1 hour of playing time every time it crashes. I'm totally baffled by how a release this BAD got by their testing department. The game is good. I just wish I would have got it on a platform other than Switch, because the Switch port is really, really bad.

This is a really cool game. It's a pretty simple concept. You have to kill off all the bacteria within a limited number of turns. And it's relatively easy to pass the levels. It has a few really interesting dynamics that make it very, very complex. If you don't clean up all the bacteria in a turn, then they will grow exponentially and unpredictably. Also, you get a higher score if you let the bacteria grow a little before cleaning them up. So, you have to balance timing of getting rid of all the bacteria with letting them grow too much so that it's impossible to clean up. So, it's very easy to get a lot score, and very very hard to get a high score. It's a great game!

Hiragana Pixel Party0
Feb 21, 2021
This game is absolutely no fun at all. It's basically unplayable after the first couple of levels, because it randomizes which buttons correspond to which hiragana characters, and then it switches them every 5 seconds. Basically, to be able to get past level 3 (there are about 120 levels), then you need to be a savant at memorization, and if you're that good, then you could just quickly read a textbook and fully understand Japanese in an hour or so. The developers did not play test this AT ALL on the Switch. It's a huge, huge waste of time and money. Absolutely do not get this game. My guess is that the good reviews all come from the PC version of this **** people who played 10 minutes or less. The Switch version is garbage.

Coffee Talk10

So, for what it is, it's perfect. It's basically a bunch of animated people sitting around a Seattle coffee shop, having various conversations. So, it's more of a visual story with very light game play elements in it. With some of the writing, I'm not sure that any of the developers actually ever set foot in Seattle, but it's a pretty cool tribute. If you like reading a lot of interpersonal dialogue, this is the game for you. If you want games that are actually games, you may hate this.

Crazy Climber 210
Dec 30, 2020
For fans of the original Crazy Climber, like me, this game is awesome! This is based on the Japanese-only sequel, which was released in 1988, and it plays almost identically to the original Crazy Climber, but it has better graphics. But having said that, probably it will only appeal to people that are interested in nostalgia. If you don't keep moving fast, then people start throwing so much stuff out the windows that you will almost always die. I really like this on the switch. The last few times I played Crazy Climber in the arcade then the joysticks were messed up a little, so it's awesome having great controls for this classic game.

My Time At Portia10

I love this game. It's like a 3D version of **** Valley. Actually they got rid of all the annoying parts about **** Valley, so I like it better. They really, really heavily copied **** Valley **** much so, that I think **** Valley could probably win in a lawsuit.. It plays well on the Switch, except it always crashes after about an hour or two of play, which isn't too bad, since it autosaves after every day. The load times aren't too long, which makes me think that they majorly patched it this year, since all the really bad reviews are from last year. I really like the way they implemented mining. I found mining in this game really relaxing. The map is giant, but there's a lot of nothingness outside the town.

This is an amazing game, and it's completely free. You go around and pick up trash, and they try to teach you various life lessons about taxes and trusting salesmen and other stuff. The message is a little heavy handed, and as with most overly moralistic lessons, it's not all that cohesive. But, this is really fun, and it's a great kid's game. There are three giant levels that come for free. You can buy two more for $5 each, but it's hours of gameplay for absolutely free. Anyone that owns a switch should download this game. Initially loading each level takes quite a while, though, but the load times aren't bad once the level is loaded.

A Short Hike10
Dec 30, 2020
This is an amazing game. The game itself is very short. I think you can finish it in about an hour easily. It's very relaxing...this game actually follows through on the promise of being a relaxing game. It's basically you climbing up a mountain, and then finding and earning feathers so that you can fly around, and flying is crucial for reaching the very top of the mountain. Initially the graphics are really bad, but you can fix it in the settings. Some people may like the weird, low rez graphics. I've already played through twice, and I'll probably play through it again a time or two.

Slither Loop7

I love everything related to slitherlink, and so I pretty immediately bought this game when I saw it. The switch controls are really annoying though, especially marking X's, which you use to mark that there's no line in the spot, since you have to hold down the R button and then use the right buttons. I'm not sure if the developers actually played this game, because that's the most uncomfortable way to hold your hand. There are 90 puzzles, 30 easy, 30 medium, and 30 hard. The hard ones are really hard. It doesn't have any of the modern conveniences like the app by Ejelta does, so I found myself spending a lot more time solving similarly hard puzzles on the Switch version. Printing out slitherlink PDF's and solving them is much more fun than this app, but I don't have a printer, so this app is okay.

Super Battle Cards8
Dec 30, 2020
This is a pretty simple game, and there's not much to it. However, I found it pretty enjoyable, and I've played way more time than the overly simple game mechanics would probably justify. It's a game where you It's often on sale for only two bucks. You play with either 9, 16, or 25 cards all face up, and then as you move around, the cards move and follow you. So, you could actually create a physical version of this game and play it identically to the game. It's low quality, but fun.

Silk10
Dec 30, 2020
This game is amazing! It's like a modern Oregon Trail with a different setting. I loved playing it. It has a pretty giant map, which takes place along the old historic silk road. It's a trading and resource management game. There are a bunch of different options for the rules, so if you really love games like this, then you can replay over and over and over again. I never figured out how to fight without running out of resources, but for me it was more fun just to play it as a trading game. The graphics are minimal, which I think adds to the charm.

Cattails8
Dec 30, 2020
This is a good solid game with one fatal flaw that prevents me from giving it 10 stars. There's no autosave, and it's way too easy to lose all your progress. So I played for about 20 hours, accidentally hit the wrong button, which I attribute to bad design, and I lost everything except the first hour of my play. It's a really fun, semi-open-world game. Well, it's more a big world than an open world. It's super slow paced, so it's great for casual gamers.

Pine0
Dec 30, 2020
This game is unplayable on Switch, after the first level. The loading times are seriously about 10 minutes. And then I die quickly. And then it has to load again. So, if I play for an hour, then it will be about 50 minutes of loading time and 10 minutes of play time. I'm sure there are some people a lot better than me that won't die so much, but I can't picture anyone stomaching the load times enough to actually play through it on Switch. I'll probably try it again after they release 3.0 or 4.0. It's probably good on Windows with a super fast machine, but it's really bad on Nintendo Switch. I was really frustrated, because this game had a lot of promise. The first level and the story. It's basically a breath of the wild clone.

This is an amazing game! I absolutely love the graphic novel component of the game. I wish other games visually told stories like this. It's true that it's very, very heavily inspired from Sin City, but it does tell a different story, with a different city. I liked it mostly for the story. The match 3 game to defeat enemies and progress the story is pretty good, also.
