It's an amazing sequel to The Last Airbender that deserves more love. If you go into LOK expecting the last airbender, you will be sorely dissapointed as it's completely different in how it does things. If you want to enjoy it more, just watch it, like you are watching a new show. Don't put expectations of which directions you want the show to go through as it's most likely going to go another direction than that. 70 years have passed and aang brought peace to the world so you're following completely different characters in situations that are not similar at all. It's like avatar was star wars rebels with a group hiding from the empire (fire nation) while korra is clone wars where life is more peaceful with seasonal threats and more mature themes. It's a spin off sequel so just don't expect anything from what you watched in avatar, expect something completely different. Just watch it like you watched avatar the last airbender for the first time, not knowing what awaits you and letting the story and world immerse you. Just don't expect the story to go somewhere beforehand. Why am I telling you all this? Because this show deserves your full immersion.
