This is one of the best open-world stealth experiences I’ve ever played. The freedom of choice is incredible – every mission can be approached in so many different ways, and the gameplay feels smooth, precise, and addictive. The Fox Engine makes everything look and run beautifully, from the smallest details to the huge environments. Sure, the story feels unfinished and not as strong as previous Metal Gear entries, but the gameplay more than makes up for it. It’s a game I can lose hours in without even noticing.

As someone who played the original, I’m thrilled to relive this classic almost like it’s brand new. The visuals are stunning, the jungle feels alive, and Snake’s journey hits just as hard emotionally. Controls are smoother, combat and stealth are tighter, and the small additions make the world richer without breaking what made the original great. A faithful remake that reminds you why Snake Eater is legendary.
