If you have been putting off playing this due to some of your favorite youtubers disliking it, I recommend definitely giving it a chance. Especially if that youtuber criticized the game in response the leaked spoilers. The hate was simply not deserved due to the story beats that were spoiled... however, it is a dark, visceral, and depressing game. It is also about 10hours too long. If you think the story is "just another revenge story" or "the ending was pointless," then you absolutely missed the whole point of the game. And you probably missed it because the well was already poisoned and you were trying to make it fit into one of those unoriginal revenge stories. It's unoriginal, yet people are mad cause it didn't end the way "it should have." Give me a break. Don't want to spoil this game anymore than it already has been, but definitely worth a play. Gameplay is very similar to the first - linear. But there are some more open areas. The first game's story is also better, but this game does something no other game has done, and young gamers didn't know how to feel about it. Just play it!

Darksiders III: Keepers of the Void3

THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULD NEVER BUY A SEASON PASS!!! There is NO new story here really. And the envoronments are bland and cheap looking, it's about 3.5hrs of content. BUT the base game is better than I thought, given bad reviews. However I loved both 1 and 2. If only they would have had a loot system like 2..... anyway, performance on ps4 is not great. Lots of framerate drops. ..

Please start the game in "classic" combat and in "story" difficulty. On ps4, it's not worthy of "challenging" difficulty due to the framerate and camera issues. But the game is fun, just super disappointed in the performance.

Ok. So first, i tried in VR and it was ok. It hurt my eyes though. Didnt make me sick like it did some. I suggest not playing in VR, just running through, dont worry about dying, itll start you just past that point... other than that it was a visually disturbing rollercoaster for sure. If you like insane messed up games like layers of fear, observer, soma, evil dead 2... try it out. But dont get it for VR or for survivor horror.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War0

Ok, its a 5/10. Graphics are super flat. Textures are bad, colors bland. The combat has no weight to it. And it is super repetitive. It feels like the 360 version of Shadow of Mordor. Anyway the 0 is for the microtransactions. I bought it cause they removed all microtransactions from game. Good, but they still want to do it. Look, stop defending these. Its not about whether they physically force you to buy it, its bc the game is developed around them. Anyone that actually beat the game knows they added 15hrs of pure grinding only. A game only does that to make you buy microtransactions. So stop saying it doesnt matter, bc yes,one day it will, and itll happen to the game you once loved. Also, they made the game literally pay to win in online, so stop saying they dont matter. Its funny, they were able to just get rid of em and guess what, the game still made money. So stop saying they have to to make money. And when they took em out, they were like. Eh, guess we dont need all that grinding. Guess we can make legndary and epic orcs easier to get. And the game is much better for it. SO STOP SAYING YOU DONT HAVE TO BUY MICROTRANSACTIONS! YOU MISSED THE POINT, THE GAME IS DEVELOPED NOT AROUND FUN BUT AROUND HOW CAN WE MAKE YOU NOT ENJOY THE PROCESS TO GET TO THE FUN PART SO WE CAN CHARGE YOU TO GET TO THE FUN PART. ITS JUST GROSS.

Ok, maybe not a 10/10 like The Witcher 3, but for it's genre, wow. Talk about a mind f*ck. It's visually stimulating and just insane at times. Almost like walking through an amazing haunted house at times. If you dont like dream sequences with flashing lights, and environments constantly shifting and transitioning into to new horrific and groteqes scenes when you least expect it, or a mind bending plot that twists the realms of the mind, technology, and reality so much you question what is real, then this game is not for you. And the story is actually great to, youll be given hints, and you may figure some parts out, but youre never really sure. It reminded me of SOMA, another awesome game, but if you disliked SOMA, then this might not be for you because it follows a very similar formula... also, this is not straight up horror. Its a science fiction, murder detective, thriller, with strong horror elements... th only bad really is that the acrual gameplay is weak. I mean, no inventory management, or weapons, or anything like that. Its 85percent ineractive narrative and a visual experience. My mind was blown!!!!

Ok. Short and simple. Graphics are pretty good. Character models good. Levels are very linear. No inventory or stats, but there are bonuses and a few weapons. Sound is good. Combat is ok. There is framerate issues. Story is great. Voice acting is great. Decision tree is great (but no real consequnce). If you like Telltale games but want more exploration and combat. This is for you. Tons of dialogue and character building. Odd that all skills are combat based, but youll do more talking than combat. And i mean that. Much more dialogue than anythimg else, but i enjoyed the game cause im a **** for story. And it looks nice. 6.5/7

Ok... it's pretty ok. First impressions, wow. Graphics are pretty stellar despite the pop in and some textures that arent fleshed out. Gun play is solid and fun with a decent arsenal of some pretty cool weapons. My favorite are the the wing-dings (boomerangs with razor sharp blades perfect for beheading). The vehicle combat and racing feels awkward at first, buy ends up being fun reminsent of my Twisted Metal days. However, if you play through the entire game, nothing is fleshed out. The RPG elements are pretty shallow and consists of crafting about 16 different items, and finding said items in the world. Thats it. Weapon customization is also lacking with just a few mods which cant be removed. Enemy AI is great, but not varied. Youll be fighting the same enemies over and over just dressed and armed differently. Maybe 5 main types? The "open world" is really just a series of intersecting roads which cannot be strayed from, connecting towns and levels. And the levels are very much a corridor shooter. However, the worst offense is the story. The premise is fine, but the lack of lore, character development, meaningful dialogue really hurts this game. It has such a rich environment that serves little purpose other than a place to shoot stuff. In this regard, id should have stuck with what theyre best at and just delivered a hardcore action fps dropping the open world "rpg" part. They could then have focused on more weapons (although there is enough), enemy variety, level design, and BOSS BATTLES! Bc basically youre just driving the same toads over and over to the next level. Its not open ended. Anyway, if fallout is too much for you, or too RPG like and not enough firsf person boom boom. This might be just your game.

Wow! **** game. If youre looking for your next first person shooter this is not it. This is more than customization and large maps. If you want a game with an intrguing story, great mob characters, lore galore, and artistic style similar to borderlands... please love this game. Oh and the gore is great! If you like that.

WARNING! WARNING! - Please read. Poor Port. I agree with Bert2e. I just got xbox live sale for $11. NOT WORTH IT! You know the Dragon Age Inquistion port? Some bad textures and renderderings, some horrible pop-ins, BUT all in all DA:I was fun and looked good enough all was forgiven. NOT IN SHADOW OF MORDOR! IT IS THE WORST PORT YET! Worst part is i dont believe it had to be. Simply put, it was poorly optimized. No excuses! This is so sad because ive played on a PS4 and it's so great! Ppl will say that at least the combat in xbox 360 port is intact. Yes and no. Yes, all the combos are there, but does it matter when the combat is no longer fluid? Youll stutter through your combos clipping through walls and stabbing a textureless war chief whose lips never sync up to audio. And in a massive open world game where youll be accessing the menus every few minutes for navigation and upgrades, the 10 sec load in and load out times for pause menus is a NIGHTMARE! DO NOT BUY PLEASE! Let them know this kind of port is NOT OK! Those giving this a 10 are just trying to level out the low score. No one on earth thinks this is perfect. Or even good. Just maybe passable. Maybe, but only because there no game breaking bug i know of. You can finish the game, but god, why would you want to :'( RIP Shadows of Mordor XBox 360 port. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
