Super Mario 6410

Super Mario 64 is a timeless classic and a pioneer, no questions asked. The game has such a sense of liberty and freedom in its movement which, in my opinion, has never really been replicated since. Mario has a ton of moves, all of them flowing together perfectly. For example, you can triple jump out of a side flip, an air kick, from just falling, which makes it all feel really fluid. The music is iconic, and its early 3d visuals are still charming to this day, although reallyoutdated. One of the game's strength is its level design which is mostly based off mario's moveset and makes it satisfying to platform through. Bob-Omb Battlefield, Tick Tock Clock and Wet Dry World are good examples of that just to name a few. By far Mario 64's greatest strength is replayability. With a movement so good and level design to complement it, it makes this game a blast to replay through, trying to complete missions as fast as possible. I will note that the camera can be tricky to use for first time players, but you get used to it pretty quick in my opinion

Super Mario Galaxy7

While this game has stunning visuals, a gorgeous art direction amazing music, and smart level design, the gameplay is where Super Mario Galaxy falls flat for me. Mario feels extremely stiff and slow to control and alot of the missions are based around various motion controls based gimmicks which i can see people enjoying but isnt really my cup of tea. A great game, but not one i really enjoy replaying.

Mario Kart World10

as a lifelong fan of the mario franchise, and by extension the mario kart franchise, this title did not disappoint. the artstyle takes inspiration from what SuperMario Bros Wonder did and pushes it even further. characters are more expressive than ever, the animations look really clean, and the environment is very pretty to just look at. mario kart world takes from previous entries and expands upon that, bringing back the more chaotic item distribution from wii while still staying true to later entries gameplay-wise. and while it does stay true, it does so by giving the player even more movement options, making them feel really free, with the walljumping and grinding both being really fun to use and actually useful in races. i also ended up really enjoying the intermissions between the tracks in grand prix mode. i was scared of them feeling long or boring, but theres always something exciting or chaotic (in a good way) happening. knockout tour is also alot of fun, especially online, although being a bit boring against CPUs. the main selling point for this game is its open world, which, while lacking in some areas, still felt fun to explore, with the P-switch missions and peach medallions being pretty much everywhere, so youre always doing something, and arent just left alone. and let's not forget the stunning ost, filled with remixes from across the mario series, and original tracks. the only thing that disappointed me is how annoying it is to unlock certain characters, tho i wont go too much into details to avoid spoilers. overall a great time with family, friends, or even by yourself, and a must have for any mario kart fan.
