I'm giving this movie a low score just on the notion alone. An oversized monkey that got captured and stuffed inside a cage and shipped to New York on an old steamer, but escaped, only to be taken down by half a dozen old bi-planes, versus a monstrous creature, who in a single breath can destroy a city and is impervious to nuclear missiles, doesn't seem like a match-up to me.

I would actually give the movie a 5 or 6/10 but I'm giving it a 1 because of all the silly 10s people have been giving it. If you enjoy cheap scares (that only start appearing 3/4 way into a movie), average acting, mediocre scripting, joke props, middling CGI and a nonsensical plot full of unconnected dots, then this is THE movie for you.

"Master_of_Plaug" reviewer is correct. It seems most of the positive reviews for this movie are bots and have reviewed this movie only. The ironic thing is, he/she has also only reviewed this movie. Is nothing real?
