This game is diluted Souls, plain and simple. The Souls formula doesn't benefit at all from the open world format, and what you have are long horse riding sessions through an unimpressive world full of a lot of green plains and rocks, with the occasional ruin. The optional dungeons you find throughout the map are woefully short and underdeveloped. It's a competent game, but in any reasonable reality this would've scored 7/10 with most critics, if it didn't have From Software's name backing it.

Incredibly charming, but the clunky gameplay does a disservice to the rest of the package. To the game's credit, the level design is inteligently created around said clunky gameplay, so it's not actually an issue in so far as successfully playing the game goes. I had some fun with it, but that required some effort.

A pretty solid platformer. "Solid" might be one of the most generic review words ever used, but it fits this game perfectly. The controls seem initially clunky, but are actually perfectly responsive once you get used to the real issue with the game: it's kinda slow-paced. There's not much enemy variety, but that's compensated with quality level design.

Pretty much perfection as far as bullet hell games go. Excellent controls, incredible music, awesome boss fights. The controls are perfectly responsive even though the player character moves a bit faster than in most shumps. It's a game to rival even the best games in the Touhou series.

A simple platformer with incredible depth to its gameplay, and incredibly well-made in all regards. The game is based on reasonably quick matches where you need to descend a tower facing a time limit that must continually be expanded by collecting more time items, with all sorts of traps and enemies/bosses in the way. Even better, the level layout is randomly generated, so every match is different, but still manageable as the game's difficulty is quite fair. There's a huge amount of items, power-ups and weapons to be unlocked, which adds to the fun. The very best aspect of the package though is the incredible polish that went into the game, it's a non-stop show of intelligent small design decisions. Definitely recommended if you play games for the sake of playing games.

A walking simulator to the core, this game utterly lacks ANY player interaction whatsoever, being an on-rails experience where you just move from point A to point B as soon as the game's narrator allows you to after a random rant. The scenery is incredibly bland and really shows the game's roots as a mod. While it's an interesting experience for the way it mocks videogames as a medium, it's not something that deserved the money i spent on it. Its theme is not even original, having been tackled years prior by MGS2.

Extremely simple, but also extremely enjoyable. Croixleur Sigma is an interesting hack n' slash game where you repeatedly face enemies in a circular arena, which would be boring if there wasn't a ton of stuff to unlock and a pretty high skill ceiling coupled with a low skill-floor. The gameplay is also just plain good, with tight, responsive controls. It's pretty damn fun and incredible value for its price, definitely recommended.
