This game is absurdly hostile to anyone with a normal work schedule. One of the three active window of the market is 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, which is great if you’re a student or otherwise free during the day, but terrible if you work full time. It basically expects you to bring your Switch with you, sneak time for it during the day, or miss out. That is not “immersive,” it’s just bad design. And the time-travel penalties make it even worse. Instead of respecting that players have different schedules, the game punishes you for trying to work around them. So rather than feeling like a relaxed life sim, it starts feeling like a game that actively resents adults with jobs. I wanted to enjoy this, but at this point it feels less like a life sim and more like a schedule enforcement simulator. I’m probably done with it.

Forced time-of-day mechanics that's extremely unfriendly to people who can only play for an hour or two before bed. Inventory management is a huge pain with decentralized storage and no way to check where you put a thing. Lots of micromanagement required and the Pokemons have way too many different skills, most of which but a gimmick. Also it **** that the sprint button is B, and if your controller don't have back buttons (like if you're playing with joycons), it's a pain to sprint while adjusting the camera. You can rebind sprint but you'll rebind the cancel button at the same time, which is confusing. Exploring the maps and finding secrets is fun. But that's about it for me. Overall it's quite disappointing, overwhelming, adult-unfriendly mess.
