Totally rewriting and rerating my review after the end of season 1 and season 2. In short - the beginning of Season 1 was a misstep that has been more than corrected for. I've gone from a detractor to a fan. Well done for turning this around.

Wow... other reviews sum it up better, but the social commentary (like facebook likes) are fantastic without pushing it down your throat. Like they mention a climate issue in the background TV and state the % of people who don't believe it, so that's not a fact. That % was the % of Americans who don't believe in climate change, irrespective of the science. I mean - unless you knew that you wouldn't have even picked up on it because it is subtle, not something I'd expect (most shows shove their morals down your throat until you gag). It means that even if you disagree with something like climate change, you can take the point that "popular belief" shouldn't actually have an impact on what are objective facts. As it clearly stated, "I believe you are mistaking opinion for fact.". Just so I don't get anger from people saying climate change isn't real - I don't care if you think it's real or not - just pointing out that this is how the show subtly addressed the most bizarre effect of social media on our current society. Anyway, the show is just enjoyable, and the most believable "future" for humans I've ever seen. I can honestly imagine people like this in ANY workplace, including a spaceship.
