Doctor Who: Season 11

The main characters are all really likable. Whittaker's performance is good, even if the writing for her is far and away the worst for any modern Doctor. Walsh is very good, given lots of emotional material to work with, and Mandip Gill is undersued but sparky- a likable and fun companion. Tosin Cole is weak generally, which is a shame as much of the series focuses on him. Still, Ryan is a likable character. Demons of the Punjab and Rosa are some of the best episodes in years. Kerblam! is one of the worst. Arachnids in the UK is loads of fun, but it's flawed. The Tsuranga Conundrum is also pretty good, too. Sallie Aprahamian is the standout director for me. She got strong performances from everyone (particularly Whittaker) and her episodes were very interesting from a visual perspective. Jamie Childs got the most episodes, but really only directed Demons of the Punjab well. The rest weren't bad at all, but they weren't particularly great. As a whole, it's a not good series, though. Very little character development and few standout episodes with the rest mediocre to bad.

One of the best episodes in all of Doctor Who. Heartbreaking writing from Vinay Patel, beautiful music from Segun Akinola, and good direction from Jamie Childs.

The Pilot is a really nice start to series 10. Pearl Mackie is a huge breath of fresh air as Bill, Capaldi is once again very good, and Matt Lucas is an enjoyable presence, even if he doesn't get much to do. While the cinematography in Doctor Who is always pretty good, I particularly liked the long shot when Bill enters the TARDIS in this episode. It was an impressive way to introduce her and new viewers to the TARDIS. As a whole, series 10 was pretty great series, and probably my favorite series with Peter Capaldi as the Doctor. The cast is very good, the episodes are fun (even if Empress of Mars and The Eaters of Light are weak spots), and the tone was more optimistic than the past few series.

Stranger things isn't bad at all, and the directing is great, but it's nowhere close to the masterpiece that many claim it is, in any respect. The acting is good, the story is [mostly] good, and the soundtrack is good, but nothing ever really gets any better than that.

Awesome. I finished season 1 and was really impressed, especially with episode 7. The finale was a letdown, but the rest was great. I don't think I'll watch season 2, but Broadchurch is very well made

What a season! This has been a huge step up from series 8, with nearly every episode being an 8/10 at least. The weakest episode was probably "Sleep No More," an attempt at a found-footage episode that was very confusing and made little sense. My favorites were the Witch's Familiar, The Girl Who Died, The Zygon Invasion/The Zygon Inversion, and Heaven Sent. Capaldi's 12th Doctor really came into his own this series, and is now my favorite Doctor after his astounding performances in every episode, namely the Witch's Familiar, the Girl Who Died, The Zygon Inversion, Face the Raven, Heaven Sent, and Hell Bent. I am looking forward to see what Moffat does with series 10, and I am very optimistic about Chris Chibnall taking over for series 11. I hope Capaldi stays for at least 3 more series; I would love to see how Chibnall writes his Doctor.

Series 4 is my favorite series of Doctor Who. Every main character is awesome, especially Wilfred Mott. Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead are my favorite episodes ever, and the End of Time was awesome. Every episode was consistently good, and the beginning of the series was funny. 10/10

Great television. Really, just give it a chance. I avoided the day that I would watch Doctor Who for nearly 2 years. It seemed like it was dumb and it had terrible special effects. After I watched the first episode "Rose," it was o.k. I kept at it, and I am glad that I did. When Doctor Who puts out an awesome episode, it is genuinely the best television out there. It is truly an amazing show, you just have to stick with the crappy effects for a season or two. Even my 70 year old grandmother is hooked
