Micro-transactions controversy not withstanding, Battlefront 2 is better than the original by every metric. The progression system needs a lot of work, and EA skirted dangerously close to "pay to win" with the original loot crates system, but as a lifelong Star Wars fan it's tough not to just let the high production value fan service wash over me. 12v12 Starfighter matches are my favorite, so much so that I'd like to see an entire game based on this mode.

Flawless, the game fans of P3 and P4 were waiting for. Great story, addictive music, hyper stylized graphics and tasteful little details that make even Persona's typical "slow" dialogue really pop. Deep and immersive gameplay. Can't find one thing to complain about.

A fun, but grindy and repetitive experience. It feels like that there just aren't enough callbacks to the FF universe, odd as that sounds. The parts where you are re-exploring classic places and meeting the old characters are the best, but unfortunately they're too spaced apart by grindy, generic dungeons.

Once again I am filled with a since of wonder and curiosity. Games that can do that for me in this day and age are few and far between. Beautiful visuals, really strong characters, a great story (so far), and a combat system that is much improved over the version we saw earlier in demos. Kudos, Square Enix.

Surprisingly addictive once you get in the zone with this game. Not something I'd recommend if you're looking for more of a traditional story-driven JRPG, but what's here is more like a crafting RPG with a slight Harvest Moon feel.

Fun idea for people that like challenging games, but the fights do drag out a lot, and the scenes between the fights are really quite boring. However, plenty of great ideas, and worth it for people who like a good challenge.

This is one of the most fun console JRPGs we have gotten in the west in a very long time. Here are some key points - -The world is basically in the same hub-based style as a Persona game. There are different places you can visit around the city at your own leisure, and then a dungeon area that you can explore. -The battle system is incredibly fun, a nice new take on the Persona/SMT system with some Fire Emblem mechanics thrown in. -The music and atmosphere is top-notch, and unique. Fun, colorful, poppy, just as the trailer suggests. -The story is actually quite good, once you get into it. The characters are all interesting, and start to feel more like real people as the game progresses. A final note on the "censorship" of the game - it's being completely blown out of proportion. The localization of the game is top-notch, even if a small amount of fan service was removed to make the game more age appropriate for western audiences. Some people are suggesting that Tokyo Mirage is a "fan service game", which is completely ridiculous. The game is a unique story regarding wholly original characters - not at all an SMT/FE fan service game.
