This game could be fun, but there are two main problems that cripple the game. First, cheating. The on-line game is so rife with hacks and cheats due to the game relying on the clients pushing updated data to the server that hacks ruin the on-line experience. EAC is unable to keep up with plethora of cheats. Given that this is a problem with the actual architecture of the game itself, there is no chance of this improving unless there is a major rewrite of the underlying game code. Second, slow updates. There are so many small problems with the game that the developers seem to be unable to address in a reasonable amount of time and you encounter them on a regular basis during game-play. After a few hours of game-play they can become an exercise in frustration.

This game has a good story and great graphics but the combat system is terrible. I find that I am hating combat because it feels more like a twitch fest cross between tetris and mortal-combat. I guess the most helpful would be for me to put the quality of the game based on the others. It isn't as good as Dragon Age I and almost as good as Dragon Age 2.

BUGS BUGS BUGS! If you can get past them, the game is quit fun and engaging. How do you get past bugs? Don't use the console, save often. It's not as good as Fallout 3 but better than New Vegas. I am enjoying playing it but the bugs just lurk in the background like an angry bees nest.

The game has been making excellent progress as of late to fixing balance and gameplay. The slow progress towards implementing CW is frustrating but the end-game, as it stands now, is fun if you are playing with a group of people. Regular death-matches are, for the most part, a bore unless you are looking for a quick hit of robot action but CW gives you a real opportunity to use tactics and strategy in a more drawn-out battle. Worst issue with the game is its piss-poor performance on AMD CPU/GPU systems -- prepare to only be able to run the game with decent FPS in low graphics mode. Be careful of the attempts to review bomb this game by many angry players who hated the previous game managers IGP and others who got named-and-shamed in a mass banning a little while ago. Check peoples review history to see if they are just bombing.

The game fails on some basic levels making it one of the poorer RPGs out there and in my opinion not worth buying. I breakdown my opinion as follows: Graphics: The graphics on the game are dated in appearance and even on the highest setting provide very little in the way of improving the game experience. The lack of real-world flow to graphic elements detracts from the game. Graphic hiccups seem to be normal and can really affect enjoyment. Characters and story: The characters in single-player mode are amateurish at best, verging on comical at times specially when the voice actors are trying to sound serious or grim. The story line of the game is interesting but not as engaging without polishing the immersive elements. Game Play: As will all RPGs fighting takes on a major role in getting stuff and gaining experience. In this game the skills and fighting are cumbersome and full of bugs. From skills misfiring or firing and having no effect to enemies jumping around the combat is either fist-mashing or a slow back and forth that quickly becomes a bore. Character movement in combat is either slow prodding or a successive mashing of the space-bar and movement keys to try to bounce around from enemies trying to flank you. I can see where the developers were going with the combat system and, if implemented better would have been quite cool. As it stands now, it misses the mark in all but the PvP system. The PvP combat is the slow, plodding and yes, calculating and strategic but there are better PvP combat games out there if that is all you are looking for. Crafting: Crafting in the game is, well, crafting. A somewhat better implementation than most games but you have to be pretty strange to buy and play a game just for the crafting.
