Broken multiplayer. Way too much motion blur. The shooting feels dated, (it is the fear engine). Also, CONSOLE PORT, no dedicated servers. Hence the broken multiplayer. I can't connect to anybody and I have port forwarded for this game. The only game where I have not been able to connect to anybody. GG.
Very old school rpg that I liked until I lost about an hour of progress because I died and didn't bother to save. Hate losing progression and have not lost that much time in a game since my gamecube/ps2 days. Hopefully cthulu will be better
Bland and generic rpg. The objectives are boring and the aesthetic is boring. Combat is ripped from god of war, except this time the combat **** and is dull.
Awesome 2D platformer. Pretty difficult but doable. I like this game over super meat boy. Purchase when you have spare change, it will be worth it for sure.
One of the kings of multiplayer gaming. Very skill based still and I love it. This is balanced team multiplayer gameplay at its finest (Besides CSS and DoTA :) ) . The new maps are great as well as the enhanced graphics. Yes, even though it is sub HD I like the updated look. Great game, must buy if you think you are good at multiplayer. Campaign **** **** though.
I finished my first playthrough this weekend. Wow. That soundtrack. The smart save progression. The last dungeon was not a pain in the ass like most other jrpgs. And the story. Very impressed, this is the secret greatest game this generation. -1 point for some weird dialogue sometimes, and limited areas, but the game makes up for everything else.
Physics game that is sort of fun if yo have access to nothing else. The game is pretty minimalistic and the art direction is reminiscent of older pc gmes like the longest journey in my opinion
Awesome boss design. Awesome co-op gameplay. Too bad the online lobby system fails. The split screen is awful. And the online lobby system fails. I really wanted to love this game :(
The game is decent. The game has higher highs than uncharted 2, but much lower lows. The campaign was shorter and some of the arena rooms were quite frustrating. On the positive side, the cutscenes were great and some of the set pieces were awesome. I do not enjoy the multiplayer as much as uncharted 2 either. This review is coming off of a ps3 fanboy. Decent game.
The core shooting mechanics of this game is amazing. What holds this game back is the bad map designated spawning system. In some matches, one teamwill be pinned down intheir spawn because of uneven balance and the spawning system. 7/10 from someone who platinum the game.
This game is so good. Any racing game fan who loves cars should buy this game. The physics are unmatched and feel real. The handling is perfect. With regards to content, you get up to hundreds of hours of potential gameplay here. 10/10, bravo!
Got this game for 5$. Easy game to get all the trophies for and has some decent gameplay. First Infamous game and I had some fun. The open world is basically a backdrop for missions, there is not much to do besides user generated content when you are done the game. Not impressed by the frame rate however.
This game is beautiful. The environments are stunning. The music is haunting. The best PSN game I have ever purchased and I haven't felt this good since Dear Esther on the PC. Buy this game, it is better if you do not know much about it before playing it. Go BUY IT.
I don't think this is GTA in Japan. It's something else. The story is alright, but what you get is better than most games. The graphics are decent as well. The gameplay is alright. The minigames are alright. What makes this game good is all of those aspects combined. The game is sort of open world, there is a lot of things to do besides the main story. When I beat the game, I was only 10% done! Some of the cutscenes are fun to watch, and occasionally funny. There is nothing too cringeworthy here, just pure japanese gaming bliss.
Hilarious game in local co-op. If you can get 4 friends in a room with this game hooked up to a nice monitor, the fun only stops when the game ends. Must buy!
Fun game that is free for ps plus users for march! First game in the series that I have played and I think it is great. One hit deaths are not cheap, as it is easy to plow through the game. Easiest platinum and only platinum i've gotten since getting my ps3 last holiday. The story is fun, the levels are varied, and the platforming is mixed up with little minigames. It is a fun time. Try it out.

Lol. This game feels like an old half life 1 mod. The environments are bland, the characters are bland. The colour pallete is terrible. The voice acting is a miss. I really don't like this terrible game. Puzzles are boring and bad as well.

Like the guy below me, this is a very fun quake game. I like it and still play it time to time, although the servers nowadays are just full of bots. Worth your time if your old school like me.
If you like roguelikes, you will think this game is great. I liked it but after playing BOI, I can't play any other rogue like games even though BOI isn't really a roguelike. I just don't like it.

By modern standards, this rpg/linear rpg thingy feels bland and not fun. The graphics and art style are great, as well as the voice acting. I just can't continue playing. This game has not aged to well in the gameplay department.
Awesome graphics on the pc. Love the open world sections, they blew me away, which is too bad because they could have expanded on that concept. The story was fun and the level design great. The gunplay is also great. Awesome awesome game.

Eh. I can see the metacritis average but I don't like the combat much. The FMV is nice in the beginning, but the level design is uninspired and boring.
Dungeons are ridiculous long and you can go for hours without a save point in some instances. The voice acting and dialogue is cringeworthy and the only positive of this game is the combat. The combat is excellent and can motivate you to play through till the end. My god the voice acting is terrible.
This game is awesome. The FMVs are great and enjoyable to watch. The voice acting is better than a lot of triple a console releases. The puzzles are fun and engaging. Some puzzles are difficult but w.e, I love layton!
One of the most challenging and mentally straining games ever. This game is hardcore. It feels like education, but it also feels like a game. This is a total ****. I only give it an 8 because I just can't beat the game and I refuse to look at solutions. Awesome puzzler for the pc.
Everything was good from the beginning to the spider. Than the game became bland and boring. The puzzles are uninspiring and the game drags on and on. People say the game is too short, I say the game is too long. I don't understand the praise this game recieves.
This game is a piece of crap. There is a fuzzy film grain filter that is applied that makes the game look last generation. The textures are low quality, and the environments are bland. This game is linear and boring. The combat is simple. Let the guy come to you and you slice their neck. Bluff them and push them off a cliff. The story is cheesy, and the voice acting mediocre. The girl sounds like she is just talking into a mic, and the scenes where the video recorder is shown in place of full in game stuff is bad. I recieved a code for this game for free. And I am complaining. This game is bad.
Awesome game. Very casual and fun simulation type god game. Worth the 800 points and I suggest those who like xbla give this a try. The feeling of progression is there and is very satisfying.

Decent fighting game if you do not care much about depth. Japanese VA with subtitles is a nice plus, and the anime inspired characters are very great looking. The online community is dead however, and the amount of fighters available is only 12. Good casual Fighting!
The game has not aged well at all. Being a fan of old school beat em ups like turtles in time or streets of rage, this can't even compare. Bland repetitive enemies, uninteresting locations, and one button no combo combat make this arcade game a pass.

Having completed the mod version, I can say the game has been greatly improved. I don't want to spoil anything, but the source engine has never looked so haunting and beautiful. The narrative is superbly written, among the best in the industry. This is a narrative, not a game. A captivating narrative at that. The game is relatively short, even with multiple playthroughs. Give this a try if you are an open minded gamer looking for something different.
I have not have had this much fun since MW2. It's been two years since a multiplayer game has given me the same thrills and addiction that this has. I have received this today and cannot stop playing. I spent 10 + hours on the multiplayer DEMO. This game is amazing. I've never played a twisted metal game before, but I am an old school pc gamer who loves half life and quake. This is the console equivalent guys! THe cotnrols are hard to get used to, but once you do, the game is fluid, fast, and feels natural. The revieres complaining about the controls simply have not spent the time to enjoy the complex game that is twisted metal!
Just finished the game. Catherine is a unique puzzle game, one that has a potentially great story, and fun gameplay. The story is just hampered by occasional cheese voice acting/dialogue, but it is still good for a video game. I did not appreciate the twist at the end, and the ending I got was pretty boring. The art style and graphics I found were excellent. Overall a solid game!
This game is pretty bad and a quick cash-in for the need for speed franchise. The live action cutscenes are porrly acted, and the gameplay bland. The environments and cars have no life to them at all and it feels like a game from 2002.
Very bland, feels like an mmo without the mmo. The combat is ok, and it is much better in co-op, however there is zero to absolutely little story. Lots of typical fetch and collect quest abound.
Very incomplete DoTA clone. Rise of Immortals has a unique persistent system, however it means it is a ton of grind as you have to level up each individual hero. Also there is no personality in the items or user interface as well as the animations. Very subpar and weak presentation make this a clone you should avoid.
Generic shooter but it has + 2 points for atmosphere. The gameplay and ai is bad, but the voice acting and story are pretty good. The atmosphere is spot on and the amateur camera filter is a nice effect. The story is super short, finished the game in 3.8hrs. I just like how much effort the devs put into the atmosphere :)
Very fun diablo clone. No story, all gameplay. There are lots of mods available adding even more classes or randomly generated dungeons in the game as well! 9/10
People love this game. Some people don't as much. To me, the combat is very stale, and the game is very repetitive. The mod support is nice, but there hasn't been very many high profile mods for it at all, and although the game recieves content updates , the gameplay isn't my cup of tea.
If you're a new player to the series, it comes with the full suite of company of heroes multiplayer. If you're a veteran, the new modes may offer little and you may want to wait until this game goes cheap. The new dota mode, tanks battles and survival mode add many hours to this game. Must have pc exclusive!
Right next to counter strike for source mod goodness. Though feeling somewhat dated, the game still has its moments. The community is still very active as well. Custom map support, blahblah, everything you get for being a source game released by valve!
Inferior to BF2 in many ways. The singleplayer campaign is simply terrible, and the co-op campaign takes an hour max on normal. Simply annoying. The game is fun for a couple hours in multiplayer, but then you realize much of the map isn't very destructible. The graphics are beautiful, which is the only reason I rate this game a 6. I got this game for free from a friend, if I paid 60$ for it I would be pissed.
