Resident Evil Requiem5

While parts of the game are SO FUN and classic Resident Evil, more than half the game is tediously slow sneaking with absolutely no clue for what to do and where to go so you die repeatedly only to be sent far back in progress to slowly crawl and die again. Has to be played with a walkthrough guide. Has no replay value. My second replay at one point I said I just can't do this slow crawl again even knowing what to do. Even the fun parts could benefit from a better mapping/nav system.

Just too many bugs so I quit. Main mission can't be completed because npc won't spawn. Many side missions couldn't be completed because npc's or items didn't spawn. Otherwise just like every other Borderlands, there's way too much travel and way too much item management. You're overwhelmed with all the weapons you get 99.999% of which are absolute garbage but you still have to manage them. Too much time spent re-supplying ammo. Don't like that you can't save when you want which discourages exploring the open maps because dying costs money. Many missions are just stupid with no guidance on what you're supposed to do. The function to track directions to your objective often doesn't work and colors for varied objectives often aren't consistent from map tab to objectives tab. Missions where you have to hand carry an item walking forever to the destination are painful. I contacted Gearbox and haven't gotten help.

BORING. Without a doubt the most boring game I've ever stopped playing. Walk forever to look for clues, post the clue on a board. Then walk forever to have stupid long cut scenes and dialogue with someone. Then walk to look more for clue... rinse and repeat endlessly. Little action.

I so badly wanted to love this game as Fallout or Skyrim but I can't. Yes it's a huge achievement in terms of the scale of the game but ultimately the gameplay is so boring. Mostly walking about without the benefit of maps or tutorials. Though set in space it feels so mundane and ordinary and lacks the magic and humor of other Bethesda games. The rare action sequences are awkwardly controlled and unsatisfying (later on I did find tweeking controller settings helps). Story, companions and dialogue just lame and outright annoying when they blow up your sneak. So much travel... so much waiting on doors. Many easy things should be fixed. You can't lock favorite items and they're easy to mistakenly sell. Provide better local maps. Get some tutorials. The game freezes pretty much once a day so you better save often. Leveling up is nothing special. I have a bank of unspent points to level up my character that I haven't used because it's just so painful doing the mining and farming to get the exp required for the next level. Sneak is pretty much worthless. Ugh, just not a fun game and after wondering around about 50 hours I'm done. Wait for a price decline or don't play at all or use Gamepass for a couple days til you discover for yourself it's lame.

Unplayable broken, buggy game. Waypoints sometimes lead nowhere or not to where you need to go. Often load into blackscreen or frozen screen forcing reload. Often fall into cracks in the map then you can't move and have to reload. Locks are just annoying. Gameplay and controls just aren't that good. Tiresome dialogue. Regardless, I played until I hit a lock where the controls simply just didn't work with the same result on multiple reloads. Nothing in options showing button controls.

not playable, or at least fun, solo since the bots are useless and the only thing worse is randoms so you really can only play this if you have 3 other friends. presumably this is a marketing thing to get you to sell the game. solo is further discouraged by actually penalizing you by not allowing you to save progress or cards.... unlike prior l4d games (this is really l4d3) you can't pick up health and the weapon you want between rounds so you're stuck with what you got or what you find unless you buy it. there's no split screen co-op. bots which won't assist with any mission required task like destroying specific targets or delivering items also can't be customized in any way to build a functional team.

good game just like the left 4 dead games but less fun and comical. but only fun to play if you have 3 other friends, not randoms. solo is no fun. the a.i. is pretty bad. you can make it through but the bots do little besides fire and draw attacks. if there's an objective, say board up windows or collect some bomb and plant it they don't help. they also get stuck and left behind a lot. i'm not sure i've seen them use items like grenades but they will heal you. there is a little unnecessary complexity like no universal ammo pick-up so it takes extra time to find the right ammo for the right gun. similarly for opening crates... it just takes more time to see what you get, manage.... at least playing solo i've not seen that i can change characters between segments and you can't pick weapons between either. so you're stuck with your character and weapon load out from the very beginning to the very end as far as i can see. that may apply only to solo. i don't think the physics act as well as in the prior games. the zombies don't seem to behave as uniquely to the environment. personally the currency and card system don't add anything for me and if anything are more a nuisance. i'd rather be able to pick the gun i want between rounds than buy it.

this would be a great game if it had a decent save mechanism and nav system but when you die you're likely to go back very far and have to travel (long download) then walk then travel again (long download) then walk, then kill the same enemies til you get to the boss again. the map is essentially useless so you have to navigate via signs on walls so there's too much walking around.

among the most tediously boring games i've ever played. very little action. gameplay is all tedious dialogue choices with an uninteresting story, little action, a lot of item management, lots of travel, collecting minuscule amounts of ammo and zillions of worthless items to sell. missions/quests are generally something like travel back and forth slowly with long transitions just to collect an item or make a single interaction with a character that's hard to find sometimes even going back and forth several times. it's just horrible and boring.

After ~150gb of downloads and updates is a game riddled with bugs, frame rate problems and crashes. The "game" is a boring 2nd life with long slow travels walking to constantly find food and water. You're health and action bars are constantly lowered by unavoidable disease, irradiation, thirst and hunger. Your inventory is low, vendors carry little cash and necessary supplies are limited. So fine the game forces you to live with very little. Don't get attached to a good weapon because it breaks and you don't have the resources to repair it. Don't build because someone will drop a nuke and you'll lose your camp. Don't modify anything because again it'll break and you can't repair it without looking for items for hours. You can't afford to buy them. You can't afford to fast travel and you can't run so you'll walk forever to go anywhere. If you do fast travel free back to base and when you go through doors both with long load times you'll likely be surrounded by a hoard of enemies when you spawn and you'll die. When you die you lose all junk and you have to go back and die again trying to retrieve it if someone doesn't steal it first. There's no way to play co-op even with friends much less strangers because everyone will take different times to manage items, health, read/listen to items. There's so few people on your server on a huge map there's no help in public events which give you fewer gifts than the supplies you'll use accomplishing them. And if you claim a workshop for a public event your caps were spent on something that disappears when you log off or someone steals it. Welcome to your new life. Basically don't buy, build or get attached to anything. Live off of whatever weapon you can find at the moment and when it breaks or the ammo runs out have a back-up and pick up whatever else is dropped. The maps will show you in general where you'll be walking to but won't show local maps or anything helpful like locations for benches. Since the game is live good luck trying to hack a computer because you'll be attacked during. And good luck trying to use the vats or manage weapon and health items during combat. So if living with nothing, having your whole day be occupied with looking for food and water and having what little you acquire be taken away this is the game for you.

not a fallout game. required >140gb downloads after 2nd update. it's not a game. there's little action and lots of walking, item management, looking for food and water, constantly eating and drinking and repairing items. as everything is live there's no pausing, no saving so you can never take a break to crack a lock, review data, get an item, change **** anything without the possibility of being attacked during and trying to do this when you are surrounded by enemies makes you vulnerable for prolonged periods. no characters to interact with or story really. just wandering. i've yet to see anyone playing cooperatively and if you did everyone would have to go at the same pace as far as reading notes, listening to tapes.... same fun environment so the only good thing i can say is it's fun to walk around briefly but no way it justifies buying or playing this game. very limited storage forces you to live very basically which is either good or bad. having lots of bugs with frame issues, freezing and being booted. some quests can't be completed due to bugs.

there's as much to hate about this game as there is to love. yeah there's some great aspects but far too many irritating things ruin the game. a save mechanism that takes you back far before when you saved, button mashing combat, fatal lightning storms you can't escape that fill seemingly 1/3 of the time you're in some areas, tedious item management, farming and selling, hours of just wandering and traveling. when it's fun it's really fun but it's really not fun very often.

huge ME fan but this game is a let down. stupid dialogue and way too much farming and wandering around with horrible maps. few action parts are fun but in trying to make gameplay more fluid developers sacrificed choices. you have only 3 readily accessible powers and squad has little ability to be directed. loads are horrendously long. i'd wait til goes on deep sale and only play the main mission ignoring all the side stories as only rare ones are anything but tedious.

it's pretty but it's still just a platformer. the "puzzles" are generally not that hard but just require timing which can be really irritating and requires dying over and over and over and over and waiting on reloads. some "puzzles" are just too obtuse requiring a walkthrough/guide. who would ever think you have to move one particular unmarked box among all the unmarked boxes to reveal the required path? love the look and atmosphere though i find the actual gameplay tiresome. also not that great a value. 20$ for a few hours of gameplay as opposed to some games for 60$ you can put in 100's of hours

not so much it's a bad game just a bad value. and not really a game. a graphic novel you watch and passively walk through not solving puzzles, not shooting up anything just watching the story unfold as you walk through a platformer. ok there were some nice tense moments but few and far between with hours of just walking listening to inane dialogue. no replay value. i'd pay $2 maybe $5 dollars in retrospect. my game froze quite often forcing re-starts and once a companion character froze preventing me from completing the quest and forcing a re-start.

quite simply the worst campaign i have ever played in my life. i can't even finish it. ok the multiplayer is fun so might be worth it to you for that alone but just more of the same but will wall running and boost that makes gameplay super frenetic. if you want to play a campaign though don't get this game. long cut scenes, long loads but worst is boring gameplay. just empty mags into enemies without personality at long range you can barely see. super boring. also had a game bug where a door would not open and had to restart the mission. long loads and time between custom multiplayer games too and have found bugs where certain hardpoint spots the enemies won't spawn or come til the next hardpoint. overall a horrible value and a horrible game

best campaign since halo 1. big wide open huge combats though a bit too much long range shooting and not alot of mid and close range. a.i. fights well but lacks the personality and humor of halo 1. LOVE the modernization of gameplay with sprint and mantling. multiplayer is much improved due to this but 4v4 matches have way too many grenades. multiplayer is mostly close up assault rifle, 'nade and melee more. sadly warzone is not as fun as i'd hoped as noone plays with a mic so doing anything cooperatively is impossible. where is forge!!!!
