My Big Sister9

For the price, this game offers a unique storyline with an interesting mystery. For those who love exploration 16 bit games, this is for you! Note: This is a dark game - not for everyone. Graphics - 10/10 Rich detail in 16 bit and moody atmosphere lend itself to the game's haunting aura. The game creators do a great job of eliciting creepy elements with limited graphics. Gameplay - 9/10 Search feature offers a flag to let you know when you've stumbled onto a hidden item. There are multiple nodes for exploration, including many secret endings depending on user choice during the last segment. Rather than replaying from start to finish, opt to replay the final stage to see if you can get them all. Music - 9/10 The music in My Big Sister does a great job of conveying the creepy atmosphere in each stage. Overall a great game.

Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition8

This review is coming from the standpoint of someone who loved the original Chrono Cross. Giving this a 9/10 after playing through nearly the full game. Yes, the frame rates are not great, and are at many times cringey and unacceptable - But, the added "speed up" is a game changer. It overcomes the frame rate and allows battles to feel quick and seamless, a fresh breath of air especially during the segments where you must power through multiple battles while listening to the same song for the duration. My only other gripe is while the characters were remastered and upscaled, the background graphics look untouched and fuzzy. That said, I can't seem to put the game down.

If you love tactics games with a hilarious and fun twist, this game is for you. The storyline is only about 30 minutes on hard mode, so it's definitely a short game, but it's replayability is 10/10 thanks to the different challenge levels and wide cast of characters, each with their own abilities. I sunk a few hours into this easily trying to get all the items and complete all the challenges. This game can be played in short durations making it awesome for gamers-on-the-go and for people who don't have hours to dedicate at a time. Graphics - 8/10 I'm a huge SNES fan, and thought this game brought that colorful, nostalgic charm while also adding some interesting cut-scene backgrounds and character portraits. Gameplay - 9/10 This game uses a spinning wheel to determine character actions, and on the hardest difficulty setting the wheel is somewhat randomized which will have you on the edge of your seat and rethinking your tactics in battle. The wheel is what makes this game super fun. Controls are intuitive enough, and there's a lot of character variety. Added terrain would be a nice to have, but the game is fun without. Music - 10/10 Wow. I didn't expect the music to be so good, but with William Kage and Sakimoto at the wheel (pun intended) the soundtrack is A+ Charm - 10/10 Between the name itself (Fragrant Story) and all of the puns around scent and plants, this short game is packed with funny charm and doesn't take itself too seriously. Replay-ability - 10/10 A decent cast of characters and challenges, with a randomized experience on hard mode, give this game its replay value.
