The Last of Us Part I10

To be honest, you shouldn't be allowed to "review" unless you played it. I get that people are still having issues but I didn't have any, at all. Same with steam reviews, most negative ones are people that played less than 3 hours. Wait for the patches guys. The remake is astounding with new Gui, new models, reworked environments. I just hope ND tank the negativity until the game is patched and nVidia pull their pants up. 10/10 Absolute Masterpiece

Neil Druckmann is a beautiful genius...almost... I understand the controversy, I really do, but then I was spoiled and expecting the worst. The game design is truly groundbreaking and what I mean by that is the graphics and game play. I was initially the same, "the story is ruined", "no not joel!" but you HAVE to play through it all to "get it" my only gripe is the clunky narrative, bad pacing and **** ending. There was really no need for the last fight. You actually end up saving Abby. Should have left it there. Looking back, it would have made much more sense to have Ellie actually save Abby, even on a kind of "If anyone is going to kill you it's me!" and expand the beautiful California maps and have a whole section where Ellie truly saves her (you can kill Lev, don't care about him he can have died on the beach for more "Abby" player sentiment) but to have taken her back to her boat to recover, then protect her would have been far better a compelling story, and have them even work together to survive. And maybe...just maybe have Abby find remorse (not for killing Joel) for the way she killed him. Then have them go their separate ways. Also no need for the damage to the hand ;) it came over as a really nasty cheap gimmick. Again Drukmann drops the ball, as she already lost everything. Or at the least make the fight (there really didn't need to be one, Abby let Ellie go on 2 separate occasions) an option you can choose, and if you choose to fight Abby you CAN kill her. But I think we might be seeing more of Abby and Lev. Hope there's a Part III and I hope they bring back Abby. I actually loved her character (would have liked ND to have fleshed her out a bit more) so Neils magic certainly worked on me...somewhat, great job all round, story needed to be better, more fleshed out characters because I really didn't care about any of them tbh. But even with it's jumbled narrative and cheap gimmick shock (come on Neil you can be better than that) the absence of Bruce Straley is really felt. I gave the game a fair 5: Only because the story was lacking and the ugly ending I thought was unnecessary. Having Ellie playing that song, with her hand intact and THEN leaving the guitar and walking away would have been for a much better ending. Like I said, Neil Druckmann is a beautiful genius...almost. edited: raised the score to 8 2 points off for 2 fingers unnecessarily bitten off seems fair.

Firstly I love LiS/BtS with all my heart, Dontnod and Deck9 made something unique and beautiful. Both games are still in my inventory and will always remain there. This is a very critical review of the way Dontnod took the franchise, needlessly in my opinion, but that's all it is, an opinion. In trying to be more diverse and inclusive, they have only divided their fan base, and it shows. They failed in their artistic and ideological direction and deserve the criticism, because I still hope that in the tough love, they will come to their senses and actually replay their own original game and rediscover the magic they had in abundance with LiS/BtS and get back on track. They know (if they ever read this) they can redeem themselves with LiS3 and deliver to the millions of true fans, the sequel Max deserves. This is not a LiS game, the developers had a chance to create something really special but decided to completely crap on the franchise. Imagine a proper sequel the fans deserved. It's such a sad thing that happened to the LiS world, and the name was used to sell something that had nothing to do with LiS at all. Couldn't they, a talented (well they were) team think of something? It beggars belief. The fans were robbed, betrayed. No one wants to play as 2 dudes, and the political correctness is big. SJW anti-Trump, left wing garbage that deserves to be deleted and thrown in the trash. Don't make the mistake of buying this garbage off the back of Max, Chloe et al. This left wing political rubbish shouldn't be allowed to taint the world of LiS, and the poor sales proves it was a big big mistake by Dontnod. "yeah yeah **** max and chloes story is over!" Why? A proper sequel could have been made with integrity, Chloe's story in it you could sidestep by having the player be Max, a little older in Seattle. Why not a story of her working for the FBI helping them to crack cases. Even I can come up with a decent synopsis that would have worked. Imagine the FBI are trying to find a serial killer, they send Max back into the past to find out who the killer is, but she gets personally involved with the victims (already dead in the future) and breaks the 4th wall. She was meant to witness from a distance, but ends up feeling compelled to save a victim, and now she is in danger. If she goes back to the future, her new found friend will die, can she alter the course of history for the good of all? There Dontnod, I did it for you, get on it, no need to thank me. "yeah yeah **** there's going to be a comic about max and chloes story!" What a cheap joke, they know where they can stick this nonchalant lazy gimmick. LiS2 is for the franchise, Alien3 was to the films, a complete and utter failure, bad writing (lazy writing) and get my score of a whopping 0 (zero) sad thing is, these "woke" liberal game devs won't change, they will regurgitate a bias, and sadly, the LiS franchise is doomed. LiS (the original) didn't sway in a partisan way left or right, it didn't try and force an ideal or bias, even if you had your own political opinion, you were allowed to explore the world where there was none. (politics) we play game to get away from all that crap, let's face it, bi-partisan politics is in your face every day, 24/7. LiS was a world where you could leave that behind and experience something different, something beautiful in it's sincere humanity. BtS was the same, no politics (round of applause for Deck9) Whoever came up that going down this path was a good idea needs firing. What a terrible waste of a huge opportunity to make it into AAA game development. A true sequel with Max would have been a major success.

Biggest disappointment of 2015. Graphics are BAD. The faces of the npc's are awful, plastic, and unbeliveable, Piper looked like she got dragged from 2002. Bethesda dropped the ball here, using the rubbish papyrun updated Skyrim engine. The story is absurd, who the hell cares about Shaun? I certainly don't. This game isn't a patch on FO3, which was and still is, a far better game. Creation Club 0/10 The setting is grim, Boston ffs, boring, droll, it would be comical if it wasn't for the fact I wasted £40 on this PoS. Fallout 4 takes you back 10 years in game development, avoid it, or wait for it to drop in price to the bargain basement, even the awesome mod community are gonna stuggle making this PoS into something worthwhile playing. 4/10 update: Creation Club 0/10

Bravo!!!! Deck Nine is a shining example of how to make a game based on a masterpiece. They defied all the odds and the risks and delivered something very special with the first episode. If you're a Chloe Price fan, you will love this prequel, Ashly Burch made a big mistake in not voicing Chloe, because now we have a better actress voicing her. Well done D9 and very well done Rhianna.

You know when a game is good when Gamespot gives it a 5 or below. Gorgeous game in the ICO style, charming and simple. The graphics are great (no anti-alias) hoping the devs fix it, will try to see if I can get my nVidia card to FXAA. For the price it's a really good buy, I guess most reviewers (gamespot) are so tired from playing piles of crap for hours on end they dont know a good game when it slaps them across the face. 10/10

Simply put, the best game ever made. Should be at the top of the list, GTAV, although a good game, should be second as it lacks a lot of stuff GTAIV had, Rockstar are MP benders and sold the SP short. The Last of Us was a defining moment in gaming and Naughty Dog are the kings of storytelling

i gave it a six out of ten, basically i enjoyed the game, it wasn't until it was pointed out that the game was nothing like what the demo promised i felt cheated a little, but hoping the devs can do something to keep supporting the franchis with animation,Ai and texture upgrades, and hopefully do what Bioware did with ME3 and release some "extended version" DLC cutscenes to better explain the storyline. I hope gearbox, and Randy don't abandon this franchise, it CAN BE MADE RIGHT you can start by releasing a HD texture pack and a lighting overhaul
