Super Mario Odyssey

Not going to lie, this is one of the best Mario games I have ever played. It takes its own ingredients for a Mario game and blends with the best of the Mario series such as Galaxy, Sunshine, 64, World, and the originals on NES. The number of Moons to collect is astounding and the capture mechanic with Mario's cap makes exploring fun with all the different elements to control. Music is top notch, and the graphics are beautiful, they help the game come to life. Mario Odyssey also looks great in portable mode on the Switch. Now is the time to buy a Nintendo Switch!

One of the most addicting multiplayer games I have ever played. My friends would come over to my house back in the day just to play this game and its addicting nature along with my brother. The memories of playing this were great, and we had so many humorous moments. I recently bought the game for nostalgia, and I had so much fun by myself as well. It may be old, but it still kicks butt in the fun factor

Having never played the NES version, this game was a great addition to my switch game library. It adds a touch of modern game play to the classic game to make it feel as good as new, and I feel like I am playing the first Blaster Master game. It is now easier to get a better grasp of the story. Game play may be simple, but enjoyable. Switching from controlling Sofia III and entering caves as Jason adds an interesting concept to the game. Each has their own controls and mechanics to learn. Playing with all the different weapons is fun, and the price of $10 is very good for this game.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Mario Kart 8 is very beautiful racing game. The graphics are top notch. The environments beg you to stop going fast and admire the scenery. The new tracks are stunning, and the classic tracks were given a nice touch. The music scores in each track compliment the scenery. Nintendo did not need to add as many racers as they did like the different babies and costumes for Mario and Peach, but adding Link and Animal Crossing characters was a nice touch. With the deluxe version, you get all the added DLC from the Wii U version so all 16 of the new tracks are there with the original 32 tracks , and the price is good for what you get in a fun racing game. Online racing is still smooth as it was on Wii U, and you will have a lot of fun racing other real world players. Battle mode on the deluxe version has been fixed to give us the battle mode we all love. All the fun modes from Shine Runners to Bomb-Omb Blast are back and the new cops and robbers mode is a fun idea. Mario Kart may look like the same racing game every new entry, but it always draws you in to see all the new creativity put into each game, and this one is no different. RIP to all friendships lost because of the damn pesky blue shell.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

The first three Crash Bandicoot games were fun games back in the days of the first Playstation. The crazy environments and challenging levels together with memorable characters make the games stand out among the Playstation's incredible library of games. N-Sane Trilogy helps to bring the games back and hit you just right with nostalgia. The updated and remastered graphics are amazing and help bring the games to life. The difficulty is still in these games and it can be weird playing with an analog stick since this game was used with a d-pad back in the day. But for it's price, you get 3 solid games that give it just the right modern touch to be enjoyable again

This was a great remake of a classic title that deserves to be a pivotal part of the Metroid Universe. The game has a good degree of difficulty, the graphics are stunning and bring the planet SR388 to life, and the new mechanics from the counter attack and free aiming fit perfectly into this game. It is so nice to see Samus Aran back in action

I gave this game a 10 because I cannot stop playing this game. It is so addictive. The story, the characters, the gameplay, the music, and the nostalgia. This is a wonderful remake of a classic Fire Emblem game that introduced so many elements that we see throughout the Fire Emblem series. The game keeps a lot of same features from the original game and I love it when Fire Emblem does this. It makes you play the game with a whole new perspective from having no weapon triangle, one inventory slot, bases sending enemy parties after your characters, and dungeons to explore. Each battle required some good thinking into the strategy and playing with 2 different parties was fun. The story is good, the music is great, and I look forward to future remakes of classic Fire Emblem games, that bring back memories of my first Fire Emblem game, the Blazing Sword when it was released in NA. Any Fire Emblem fan whether a veteran or newcomer will enjoy this game.

Horizon Zero Dawn

Horizon Zero Dawn has some of the most enjoyable combat I have ever played. Fights with the machines are very rewarding and it leaves me looking for more to fight. There are many different ways to approach machines and different tools to use to beat them, and each one fits a certain play style. The story is original and has a lot of intense moments that wrap Aloy into a world that holds many secrets. The environments from the tundra area, desert plains, and cauldrons look great and are fun to explore. This game is a must buy for anyone who owns a PS4 or PS4 Pro.

Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove

Shovel Knight doesn't just honor old school platformers, it embraces them. It takes all the best characteristics of old school gaming and some elements from some legendary titles and shows it off in spectacular fashion. The music and difficulty curve are my favorite parts about this game. Yacht Club games deserves a lot of credit for finding ways to keep this game going after all there few years, when an indie usually fades away a bit. The Plague Knight and Specter Knight campaigns are adventures that deserve to be their own games apart from Shovel Knight. They are so much fun and the new mechanics in each one add a variety I cannot get enough of.

I had some high expectations for this game, and it exceeded all those expectations. I have already soaked over 100 hours into this game, and I am still not done yet. Not only has it become my favorite Legend of Zelda game, but one of my all time favorite games. I could play this game several times, and it would still feel fresh to me. Breath of the Wild also does one other important job: System Seller for the Nintendo Switch. A near flawless mix of open-world concepts and Legend of Zelda characteristcs with a lovely art style have made a masterpiece that will be hard to forget.
