Pet Zombies5
Aug 23, 2012
Pet Zombies is an average game which gets too boring too fast. In case you couldn't tell, this game is meant to be humorous and taken as a joke. It is the only parody game in the whole entire pet simulation genre (that I know of) which should've been used to its advantage, but for the most part, it isn't. Pet Zombies does succeed at one thing though: humor. While burning a zombie on fire eventually loses its charm, it still is funny the first few times. The main issue with the game is, well, there isn't much to do which leads the game to being plain boring. The graphics actually use the 3DS's 3D effects very well, and they are animated perfectly. The cartoon graphics fit right in as well. Although the multiple zombie types to choose from have some differences, there aren't enough to be noticeable. Also, you only start with 2 zombie types and have to unlock the rest. You start off with very few items and only one background. Everything else has to be unlocked, and since the game is just too boring, you won't end up unlocking much. The reason it is boring is that you constantly have to use the same items (in a torturous or nurturing way) to try and level up your zombie so you can afford new items, but this process just takes too long. I like that the game allows you to either torture or nurture your zombie to gain XP for your next level. Torturing seems like the better choice though, as it takes less time. The game also has minigames. While presented as a huge part of the game, in all honesty you won't be playing them much and the game won't punish you for that. Pet Zombies would be fine as a $5 downloadable game, but as a full-priced game it just doesn't have as much content as it should.

Portal8
Aug 23, 2012
Portal is an entertaining adventure with only a few flaws that prevent it from "near-perfection". The game doesn't have a very complex detailed plot, but the one and only speaking character in it (GLADOS) makes it one of the best video game stories of all time. Her dark humor is one of the best parts in the game. The puzzles in the game increasingly get difficult as the game progresses (don't worry, the first few puzzles are very easy) to the point where they are so maddening that you want to throw your keyboard at your computer screen, but the moment you have your "aha-moment" and then complete the puzzle and hear an insult from GLADOS, all of the anger you previously had disappears and you feel very accomplished. The graphics are suitable but a tad bit plain for me. Portal can get very buggy and takes a very long time to load, which is probably its biggest flaw. The sound is perfect, as lines from GLADOS are more than enough to keep you satisfied. Gameplay-wise, Portal is very unique, letting your take control **** which lets you shoot portals you can traverse through. This leads to very interesting puzzles. Portal is an excellent game, and although you might just want to get Portal 2, for the full "Portal" experience I recommend you get Portal also.

Batman: Arkham City10

Wow, I am out of words on how fantastic this game was. It not only fixes every fault of the first game, but adds more fun things. Arkham City is huge and you can explore it at your own will whenever you want. There are many collectibles to be found such as the riddler trophies. This game is definitely an example of what superhero games should be like. The story is very interesting with many twists and turns. Once you finish the game it is not over as the world is loitered with hundreds of side quests, and even once you finish them you can still travel around the city and fight thugs. The gadgets are a blast to use. The riddle challenges and maps are very fun. Catwoman missions are extremely fun and traveling around the world while playing her is also a blast. This games graphics are breathtaking. Batman Arkham City is one of the best games I have ever played.

Sneak King6
Feb 20, 2012
Sneak King did entertain me and make me laugh, however is humor enough to make this an enjoyable game? Sneak King is somewhat open world which I think was a great choice of the developers. Sure, it isn't that fun to explore the open world but it is cool to give people burgers even when you are not playing a 'level'. The game kept me interested for a while with its wide variety of places to hide, but the game is still very repetitive. Heres how a level normally goes: "Wait for hungry person, hide behind them or in some object you can hide in, surprise them, watch a funny animation, repeat". You do the same thing over and over again! However, the game is only about $5 on Amazon and eBay, so you are not being ripped off or anything, although I wouldn't recommend buying this for over $5.

Pocketbike Racer7
Feb 20, 2012
Pocketbike Racer is an enjoyable yet generic racer. It does not do anything new to the racing genre, although it offers many types of game modes for a $5 game. I had fun with it and liked the ability to make your own character. Unfortunately, no one is ever on the online mode so it is hard to play with others online. However, playing locally with friends is a blast. The game was definitely made to be played with friends as it is not as fun when I am playing by myself. For $5, I had a great time with this game and if you find it on eBay or Amazon you should get it if you are looking for a fun racing game for a cheap price. Unfortunately, it is completely unoriginal, but for its price that doesn't matter.

Beat Sneak Bandit9
Feb 19, 2012
I had a ton of fun with Beat Sneak Bandit. I got hooked to it in my first few minutes playing it, and couldn't stop. It has animated, cute graphics and music which totally fits and changes often so it is not repetitive. Its difficulty is well balanced as the normal levels are easy-intermediate difficulty while the shadow levels (harder levels in which everything is a silhouette) are intermediate-hard. My only problem was that when I first started the game I had no clue when to move my character and had to rely on the top of the screen (where it shows when you can move) rather than the audio. I had a pleasant time with it, and can't wait to go back to playing it. Also, there is replay value in collecting more clocks.

Girl With a Heart of8

I had a fantastic time with this game which only had a few flaws that prevented it from being a superb game. First and foremost, this game is not for anyone who 'only enjoys shooters' or 'can't handle games with graphics that aren't completely up to date'. The game itself is full of many choices, most of which are meaningful. The combat was interesting, but under used. It should of not been put it in at all or been used more. The ending of the game was very disappointing, as it was just a paragraph long. This might make the choices seem gimmicky, but really, they effected me emotionally. Although this game is lacking for a game, it really played with my emotions and made me happy, sad, curious, and more. I recommend this game for anyone who is looking for an interactive and different experience.
