Firstly, I'm appreciative to Ubisoft for the beta. I feel that no one can complain that they feel cheated in buying this game since the beta gave them the opportunity to try it out. That said, the beta convinced me to not purchase it. I had high hopes for Ghost Recon Wildlands, and honestly, I thought the beta would help me in deciding whether to go ahead and purchase the Gold version with all the planned DLC. Wow. Talk about disappointment. This has been described as a mash-up of Far Cry 4 and The Division? I have the full DLC of both of those game and love both. Ghost Recon Wildlands is a far weaker version of either. The landscape, while looking absolutely gorgeous, has no substance. You can literally drive straight through bushes, plants, large trees, mostly everything except unlevel terrain, exactly as you would empty fields. Until you get to a spot where there is supposed to be action, and then WHAM! even the smallest fence brings your vehicle to a dead stop. I just drove through a massive tree and yet a tiny wooden fence is an impenetrable barrier? Otherwise, for the most part, driving land based vehicles is pretty decent - I especially like the controls. Helicopters are another story and feel like cars in the air. The AI feels like it cheats. It has a detection meter but it feels inconsistent. I realize in real life that random things happen that affect whether you might be seen, but even if I grant that to the AI, it just seems phony. Sometimes it is so easy to get seen and other times I can waltz around like an idiot without so much as a glance by the bad guys. Seems slightly pre-scripted. And then several dozen bad guys immediately show up. From where? I just spent 20 minutes circling the place and yet it only took 20 seconds from being detected for 4 vehicles full of baddies to arrive. Sigh. Finally, this is mostly a shooting game. You gotta get that right and they didn't. I like the little bob and sway when moving the gun side-to-side, but that pretty much ends my list of positives. Both Far Cry 4 and The Division had far better shooting. No real ability to use cover either. And the sync shot gimmick and in the entire process of handling the other team members is annoying and useless anyway. Maybe it would be better with 4 real live players but in single player mode it is not worth the effort. I had such high hopes. Thank you, Ubisoft, for allowing the beta to demo your product. Honestly, it was the deciding factor between scoring your game a 6 rather than a 5.

Just an amazing game. To rate this at anything less than the 10 it deserves is just crazy. I know I will be playing this for hundreds of hours past the single player story (which is great itself). Is this just GTA4 times 10 in HD? Maybe, but that is saying a lot! The truth is that it's much bigger and better in every way. This could very easily be the greatest game of this generation of consoles.

Truly one of the best strategy games on the 360, and one of the few that have stood the test of time. Though I have finished all the levels many times, I still come back to try new things and test new strategies. It'll never have the following of COD, but as a tower defense game, there is none better.

Still playing it in 2012. Fave game overall - ever. Actually got the download version (after buying the DVD over 2 years ago) just so I could play without having to put in the disk at all. It was worth it because it's my "go to" game and every once in a while I just get back into it. Again and again. Love it.

Got home from an awesome midnight launch to read dozens of zero rated reviews (including one guy who said already he'd finished the single player on veteran in only 6 hours but it was only 1:30am at that time - an hour and a half after release). Amazing how many ppl claim to have finished the game within an hour of it's release. Right. And they give it a zero. All I can say is that after playing for several hours now, that this will be the disc in my 360 for 95% of the time until the next COD. It is that good. (Okay maybe I will swap it out for a bit more for GTA 5 when it is released - LOL). I thought MW2 was a 10, I thought Black Ops was an 8.5, and MW3 is a 10 again. It's pretty clear that when the pro reviewers are mostly all giving it very high marks, the users giving it a zero within minutes of it's release are as credible as the claims they are making about finishing it as quickly.
