Assassin's Creed Shadows2

I vowed never to purchase another AC game after that Valhalla junk, and I haven't. However I got a Ubisoft+ sub to try out Star Wars outlaws and thought I'd give this a whirl too. I'm about 30 hours in and I'm not sure I am going to continue. Boring. That's the reason. Just flat out boring. The world can look nice, but is too large and therefore filled with big gaps of nothingness. Among that nothingness you will find small outposts, towns and castles. Outposts all looks the same. Towns all look the same. Oh and Castles? Yeah, they are all the same too. **** even the climbable tree is the same (I'm not kidding, there's probably 1000 of these trees across the map and they only made one asset for it, it seems). No variation = boring. The story, well that's also ****'s mostly cut scenes and people yapping on and on about stuff that isn't interesting. Mix in the odd task of learning how to have a tea ceremony and praying at temples. Like, what the heck is this crap? When you do finally get to go and kill people, its essentially an ever growing list of people to knock off - except you can't just rub them out straight away, oh no! First you gotta speak to a few people, maybe do some side quests, then you gotta go look for a letter or something, then watch some more cutscenes, maybe a flashback. Then when you finally learn their location (just in another castle) you go kill them. And repeat ad nauseum. Boring
What makes that worse is that we now have two characters. A small lady who is the sort of stealth assassin that we want, and some big bloke who struggles to move fast or even climb. It wouldn't be so bad if we could just choose our playstyle at will but there are missions that can only be done with one, or the other so you are forced into switching constantly. This really kills immersion. Erm what else. Combat: same boring stuff as ever. I long for the good old days where I felt like a god with a sword. Assassin's ... you know, the brotherhood... like in the title? Yeah, they aren't in this game as far as I can tell. Forget all that stuff. Abstergo and the animus thing: Not even sure that's in here aside from a slight hint at the very beginning. Let's face it. Assassin's creed died with Desmond. We had a couple of gems afterwards, before they decided to take a couple of years off and revamp the gameplay. If anyone from Ubisoft is here, my advice is to take a couple of years off and Devamp the game back to how it used to be.

This could literally have been a mini game on Mario Party. What a waste of money. Nintendo can kiss it. Pirate their garbage from now on.

Trivial Pursuit Live!0

There used to be a Trivial pursuit game on Xbox 360 that was like the actual board game (luckily I still have it on disc). Now you cannot find it anywhere because they started flogging this dollop of **** instead. I am not really getting the bugs that others are reporting so my review is based on the full working game. The review: Its crap. What was once a fun family game is now a quick fire 'tv show' kind of thing. Its over in a flash and is always the same rounds - super boring. Now they have released a sequel which looks the exact same. I will be avoiding that one and you should too.

PAW Patrol The Movie: Adventure City Calls2
Sep 25, 2022
When we got this on the switch I kind of excused the way it looked and performed. Then when we got out on xbox it’s just as terrible aside from slightly improved FPS. It’s basically the same game as the mighty pups one but set in a repetitive city theme. The textures are appalling and the game seems to have no V-sync so always tears. The game just seems like a rush job to cash in on the movie. If I was a dev on this game I’d leave it off of my CV. Don’t bother buying. P.S. at the time of writing it is free on xbox game pass.

Its just Meh. It's the same game as the last one only I don't think it looks as nice. It would be nice to have this kinda game without the stupid prologue, crap music (turn that volume down) and the cringy radio chatter. Admittedly turned all that off but for some reason I still hear it all. Probably something to do with a thin storyline full of people saying things like WOAAHHH, THAT WAS SICK, GET TO THE FINISH LINE, HERE COMES A JUMP WOOOOAAAAAHHHHHHH. Its stupid and distracting. It has pretty mind numbing gameplay. Basically follow the blue line and slow down when it goes red, so not really much thought needed. This can probably be turned off. The things that go on around you kinda spoils races for me. Within about 20 minutes of starting this game you will have driven 5 cars, 4 of which are dropped from a plane, then raced said plane as well as two motorbikes that dropped from it, which then turn into skydivers... WTF is this? I'm happy for a fun arcade racer but this is all BS. I'm glad it was on gamepass so I didn't pay for it. I am going to crack on a little longer but there is no way I can finish this game.

It looks crap. It controls like ass. It’s confusing. And half of the time it doesn’t work. Typical of switch games really. Poor port and costs more than the original.
