The Last of Us Part II0
Jun 25, 2020
Naughty Dog nearly ruined a perfect game. The first half of the game was a masterpiece. I was so excited to see how many chapters were left until I realized that I would soon be leaving Ellie behind for 15-17 hours and would become just some average girl I have no care for. We loved TLOU because of Ellie and Joel. You think you can remove them, and not tell us that over half the game has nothing to do with Ellie or Joel? I’m a 34 year old man and this ruined my week. I’m put off of gaming so much I think I need a huge break. If the game wasn’t a masterpiece I wouldn’t care. But it should be. And you got cute and ruined a great thing. I can't explain how demoralized I was when I found out I'd be playing over half the game as neither Joel nor Ellie

The Order: 188610
Feb 22, 2015
From the moment I booted up The Order 1886 to the second the credits rolled I was absolutely emerged in the world and the story that was created. I found the technological spin on Victorian London in 1886 to be thet most interesting setting I've ever gotten the priveledge to explore in a video game. And without a doubt, it has the best graphics ever seen in a video game, it's obvious. The game looks like your playing a Blu Ray movie. Thankfully the story was just as good as the setting, and it had very memorable characters. I especially liked the main character and the 2 most prominent female characters. The acting is spot on and you just keep wanting more. Obviously the gameplay is some peoples primary concern, and I had concerns as well but let me tell you what I was most blown away by IMO...... The third person cover shooter gunplay in this game is unlike anything I've ever played. It's completely original IMO. You can't stay out of cover and simply pick off your enemy when he pops out of cover, if you leave cover for more than 2-3 seconds on Hard, your dead. Snipers are placed across the map that kill you in 2 shots. In order to succeed they give you some pretty cool tactics. Like the option to hold only your arm out of cover to just spray and prey wildly, I've never seen it emplimented this good to where it's not cheating. This causes your enemys to either get behind cover, or you may kill them if you spray enough. The game places heavy damage snipers in certain spots, and enemies with pistols and machine guns have thier positions. You also can't just stay in one spot, because the hard to kill shotgun enemys will charge you, and if he hits you twice, your dead(I play on hard). Another thing different about the gunplay is the way the guns feel and the strategy you have to use to be accurate with the weapons. The weapons in this game are truly awesome, they are perfect. They feel like real guns, they kick like real guns, they are inaccurate like real guns sometimes. With some guns you have to time your shot just right or you will just skim the enemy. The game also has some truly unique weapons that you've never seen before. And each of the 10-15 different weapons has it's own purpose. Another part of the game I was blown away by was the different ways you can interact with the world. In some games, if you go up to a note on a piece of paper, the paper magically super imposes itself on your screen, and you read it, and then it goes away. In The Order, you pick up the note with your hand, move it in any direction, then when your done, you place it back down. You do this with most physical items you can pick up in the game. And instead of just giving you a lock picking game like all other games, you have a tool designed by Tesla to pick locks that feels like you are actually picking the lock, not just playing a mini game. There are SO many items like this that you actuallly physically use in the game, like the device you use to open the armorys designed by Tesla, and your monocular is also one of the coolest things. Everything in this game feels REAL, I can't emphasize that enough. NO mini games, NO menus, NOTHING that would remind you that you are in a video game. And the fact that it's bug free and smooth as butter is truly amazing at a time when games ship broken. My favorite parts of the game was the stealth section at night in this beautiful garden in the middle of London while it's raining. All the guards are walking around with lights and you can either shoot them with your very limited amount of arrows, or if you time it right, you can melee your enemy for a truly awesome and brutal looking take down. Another favorite part of my playthrough was walking underground beneath london, they give you these lanterns and it's pretty damn creepy and the environment just **** you in completely. I felt I was inside the game during these sections and it looked so awesome. If you want a game like Destiny, COD, or some other grinding twitchy game. That's fine, I sometimes like those games too. But every game doesn't need to be THAT. And if you want the usually survival exploration third person shooter like Tomb Raider, The Last of Us, or Uncharted, those games are awesome. This game is different. You don't "Level Up", it's not "Open World". It's The Order 1886. The Order 1886 is an expertly polished, truly immersive, ground breaking experience that's never been done before. It has original class leading graphics, fresh game play, and a way of telling you the story never before exerienced in a video game. If you want an experience you truly have never had before, I recommend you try The Order 1886. I rate games based on the answer to this question. Did the developer create the exact game they wanted to create, without cutting any corners, and perfectly realizing thier idea? Yes, 100%. The Order 1886- 10/10

LBP3 is amazing. I'm not going to give you a real in detail review, I'm sure there are many here. All I will tell you is that the graphics are AMAZING. Way better than the 1st two. The campaign levels are breathtakingly beautiful! At first I had a problem with the campaign being short, about 4-6 hours depending on how much you explore. That's playing every level in the game. But then I realized how many LBP3 user created levels there already are. Right now they have about 10 levels that are of the same quality of the actual game that I know of, and I've only looked at levels for about 30 minutes. Daily they have more and more. I've seen levels that replicated The Last of Us Remastered and those levels looks JUST as good. I was blown away with the lighting effects, the rain and reflections. The main reason why I'm 28 years old and totally in love with this game is just that it makes me feel like a kid on christmas day while playing it. 10/10 GOTY. Most beautiful realistic platformer.

Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition10
Jul 6, 2014
This is a VERY good game. I held off for like 6 months getting this. Then the STCE version came out on my PS4 this month, and I just HAD to see what everyone was raving over. And it turns out, they were completely right. Just by watching video's of this game, you'd think it was just some cheap platformer. But it's far more than that. The graphics are beautiful when viewed on the big screen and remind me of the game "Transistor" with hand drawn style art and awesome lighting effects. You can also choose whether your in the world of the living or the world of the dead, and the setting changes visually each time you switch, which looks pretty cool. The fighting in this game is also top notch and is NOT just button mashing. They have numberous combos you try to perform while taking down foes. And they are satisfying to pull off too. Another thing that keeps you playing is the upgrades, you upgrade all of your different abilities as you go through the game and score coins. There is also different outfits you can use where they give you positives in some areas but negatives in others. Another great part of this game that some people underestimate, is it's hard core platforming. I mean, it really takes some good skill to reach some places on the map(The map is HUGE, lot's of exploring to do). And you only get skills like double jumping a little later in the game, before the halfway point though. So you WILL have to back track other areas of the map to find all your upgrades. It's a bit like Strider or Metroid. Basically, I like this game for 3 main reasons, the fighting is awesome, the platforming is awesome, and it's just as good looking as Rayman Origins with that hand drawn style asthetic. Oh and the story is pretty awesome too. I'm desperately looking for stuff to play on my PS4 right now, and thankfully, I found this(And I found PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate). I have to give it a 10/10.

PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate10

I got this simply because it was free for PS Plus members. I like shooters also but I wasn't really excited for this game. As it turns out, this is a FUN freaking game. The graphics and effects for the new Ultimate Edition are truly a step in the right direction. The textures have higher poly counts, the ship has some new lighting effects and cool reflections, and the missiles also have better effects work. Even more noticeable is the liquid effects that now have shaders and the new physics that were added to the ship to make navigating look more lifelike. Aside from the cool effects work the gameplay is really fun. This game is pretty much a shooter/explorer/puzzler. And I had NO idea I could have so much fun with this game as it's so simply but yet so fun. In the beginning I really had set a low bar for this game, but it turned out to be the only game I turn my PS4 on for in the last week.

Watch Dogs10
Jun 18, 2014
Looking at the average user score of this game makes me embarrassed to be a gamer. This game is SO much better than that. If you like open world games then this games for you. The world in Watch Dogs is HUGE, I mean I was surprised by how big the world actually is. If you compare it to another popular open world game like Infamous: Second Son, Watch Dogs is about 3-4x's as big. And it's not like the entire world is just the city. The middle of the map is the huge city of Chicago, the top left side of the map is nothing but out doors, trees, dirt bike tracks, and trails, along with boats to ride in and all that run stuff. If you go a little lower on the map, it's sort of a rural area with some nice big houses and kind of like a smaller city with theatres and different stores and stuff. And if you go to the south side of the map, you get the kinda gangster neighborhoods, and you also get the industrial complex type of place. Another thing that's awesome about this city is you can basically get anywhere's you need to go on the entire map, by using a car or boat. Meaning that a body of water is never too far away I love the variation and different settings in Watch Dogs. Half the fun I have in this game is just exploring the city. Let me discus a pretty popular topic about this game, It's graphics. The graphics on PS4 and PC(I own Watch Dogs on both)are pretty good looking graphics. The graphics were downgraded a little, but the game still looks pretty impressive. The lighting and reflections at night are VERY impressive, and this game looks SO awesome when it's raining at night, and all the lights are reflecting off of the puddles of rain water. And thankfully, in Watch Dogs, it rains a LOT. Another VERY impressive thing about this game is the water simulation. Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag's water looked SO amazing. So it's only natural that Watch Dogs would have body's of water that looked just as impressive, because Ubisoft makes both games. Simply put, I've never seen such realistic water in any game I've ever played, it looks THAT good. While your riding in a boat the waves react like they would if you were really in a boat. And if your driving in a boat through the city, you can literally see all the city lights reflected in the water. The textures of the buildings in the city and the textures or rocks and mountains also look good and seem to have high poly counts. And during the day you'll frequently see the sun, with numerous light shafts shining through trees. The only part of Watch Dogs that I feel could have had better graphics is when it's day time, and the sun's light shafts aren't present, or the suns not shining. In those circumstanes the game seems to be missing something, it's not missing textures or shadows, it just needs a little more lighting during the day and more reflections. Despite not looking absolutely perfect all the time, Watch Dogs is a CLEAR generational leap forward when comparing it to games like Grand Theft Auto V. GTAV is clearly a last gen looking game, and Watch Dogs is quite obviously a lot better looking titles. I'm sure if Watch Dogs would have only been released on the PS4 and Xbox One, it would look even better than it does in it's current state. Besides the graphics of the game, the gameplay is quite fun. I like idea of the cover shooting/hacking gameplay. It reminds me of those "over the top" perspective shooters in a way. And I love the way you can get the perspective of the cameras that you hack, and from that cameras perspective you can hack grenades in enemy's pockets, or blow up an electronic right next to an enemy to kill them. I think the gameplay in this game was really just a great idea by Ubisoft, I've never seen a shooter like this at all. I also love the stealth aspect of it, and I found it addictive to want to stealth your way through areas other than going guns blazing. But the gun play is good too. There's nothing really new about Watch Dog's gunplay, but it's solid nonetheless, and this game has a really good selection of interesting guns. This game will quite literally keep you busy for well over 100 hours. I've been playing this game for over 100 hours already and haven't 100% the game yet. Of course if I really tried I could have completed it in around 100 hours probably. I just have so much fun messing around the this vast open world that it's taking me this long to complete it. But yes, there's a quite a LOT of content, but it is kind of repetitive, but it's also fun. Then of course you have the "Digital Trips", which are in effect a game inside the Watch Dogs game. In one mini game, your a giant spider tank, and you basically just have fun destroying cops and scaling the building of Chicago. In another mini game, your sneaking around the city and shutting down generators one by one while trying to evade these robot looking things with spot lights for eyes constantly searching for you. This game is easily an 8.5/10

Trials Fusion10
Jun 18, 2014
Before I had got Trials Fusion, I had never really played games like this before. But I gave it a chance anyways. And I absolutely LOVE IT. The good thing about games like this is that they never get old, I'll never want to sell this game, it'll always be fun. And it offers practically limitless content. You get about 70 tracks in the game on release date, which vary in difficulty. And you have tons of tracks to download from people who have created them. Not to mention the 6 DLC packs which will come out at a future date. The game is really quite challenging. When I got to the "Skill Showcase" I actually quit the game for a little bit because I didn't think I could do well. But practice makes perfect and now I've completed the whole game and got silver medals on all the tracks. The graphics for this game are also really impressive for a 2D dirt bike physics game. I don't see how you can give a game this fun and timeless anything but a 10/10. This is a game you can pick up and play and have fun with 3-4 years down the road.

Titanfall10
May 21, 2014
I absolutely love this game. I have BF4 and COD: Ghosts, but this game is nothing like those games, and personally I think TitanFall is even better than BF4. Let me state some reasons why I think this game is the best multiplayer FPS you can play right now. -Graphics are refreshingly bright and slightly cartoonish, I personally LOVE the graphics on this game even though they aren't photo-realistic they are just eye pleasing. It doesn't look as realistic and isn't as complicated graphically as BF4, but I prefer TitanFalls graphics. It's also a SILKY smooth game when played at 60 or 120FPS, as you can tell the engine was made for the smoothest gameplay, unlike BF4 or even the new COD: Ghosts. It's refreshing to have a dev chose smoothness, reaction times, and bright colorful graphics, over photo-realistic lighting and textures. -It takes you a good amount of time to die. Being that the devs of TitanFall used to be COD, I thought it would be more like COD in that you would die after only a couple shots to the chest. But that's not the case at all. You'll find that you can get away after being shot by jumping and wall-running away. And the gunplay feels incredibly smooth and satisfying, even more so than BF4 or COD. Although gunplay doesn't feel as real as BF4, I don't really care about real. -If you **** at multiplayer FPS games, you actually have a chance to be pretty good at this game. This game has more strategy to it than BF4 or COD, and while playing in a Titan, you don't have to have twitch reactions. And even if you play as a Pilot, you can use the Auto-Pistol, which locks on after about 2 seconds. The pistol isn't nearly as effective as an assault rifle, but if you can't aim, this Auto-Pistol REALLY helps, especially if you jump and move around while it's locking on. Plus there's plenty of Bots to kill on the battlefield besides the real players, which can make below average players feel like they're dominating. Negatives -The matches are a bit short. They seem to last only about 5 minutes per match. Normally by the second time I get my Titan the games already ending. Of course I'm speaking only of the Attrition mode as that's all I've played so far and I'm on level 32. -Another negative is that battles are only 6v6, making it sometimes difficult to find enemy Pilots to kill. I don't get satisfaction from killing bots. I wish they had a 12v12 or at least 8v8 mode with no bots, and you only got your Titan once per match. I also wish they had a Team Death Match mode where the first team to 50 kills wins. So overall this game is a 10/10. I don't see how someone can rate this game less than an 8 unless you just HATE FPS games. Because as far as FPS games go, this is the top of the line right now. BF4 is awesome, and has A LOT more guns and customization options, has bigger maps and more players on the maps, but TitanFall's gunplay is more fun and TitanFall takes a little bit more strategy other than just being quick with a mouse. And I like TitanFalls graphics better although BF4 is technically superior. COD: Ghosts just **** all around.

This games absolutely a 10/10, and it's totally addicting. I've spent well over 1000 hours on this game. This game is super popular for a reason.

Call of Duty: Ghosts5
May 12, 2014
From looking at the ratings this game got, you would think it completely ****. But it's an OK game, not good, not bad. Personally I think the single player isn't worth playing, just the BF4's single player. And I personally **** at the multiplayer, so that goes out the window for me, and extinction isn't that fun either. But it's not a bad game either, it's just not good lol. 5/10 for me. And technically, it looks far better than COD Black Ops II, but it still doesn't look all that "Next Gen". The graphics are merely average. I don't think the game deserves a 3.3, but I definately don't recommend buying it.

Killzone: Shadow Fall10
May 11, 2014
I have 12 games on my PS4(Including COD: Ghosts, I have BF4 on PC), and the the 4 games that are always constantly being played are NFS: Most Wanted, Strider, Resogun, and Killzone: Shadow Fall. I'm a PC gamer so I'm used to awesome graphics, so Killzone surprised me a bit because it looks almost identical to Crysis 3. The lighting and textures and especially the lens flares. The game is very different from Crysis 3 though. In some cases I would say Killzone is better graphically, which is pretty amazing. Single Player- So this game definitely has the graphics. But does it have the gameplay? Yes it does. From BF4 to COD: Ghosts, I started playing the single player campaign and eventually after a few chapters I quit playing. It was just too boring and not fun at all. There is nothing to challenge you in those games. It's just "Shoot this guy", "Now shoot that guy". Killzone is some of that too(but a lot prettier) but you also get a bot to use in different ways which definitely spices up game play a lot(using the bot helps A LOT) and you also play a bit stealthy sometimes which I LOVE. I just wish they used more of it. So I fully completed the SP, and I plan to play the SP again on Medium. I played it first on hard but it was almost TOO hard to enjoy sometimes. I recommend playing on Medium. The SP actually gets you thinking, and you must die a few times to actually develop new schemes to try and complete the objective. I also absolutely LOVED the final chapter of the game, it's a completely stealth chapter but I won't give away the objective as it's an AWESOME objective too and a GREAT ending to a really fun single player campaign. Multiplayer- The MP of Killzone is a good bit different from BF4 and COD: Ghosts. And I find my self enjoying it a lot. In BF4 and COD, I find that you die so fast in those games(especially COD). It's like a bunch of people running around like headless chickens(which can be fun sometimes, I play both BF4 and COD: Ghosts). But Killzone is a bit more than that. For one you have all sorts of different devices such as shields and bots, which if you take good advantage of them they help you a lot. None of the guns are really that OP, and with a normal Assault Rifle it takes a good while to kill someone. You'd have to keep hitting them straight on for about 2 seconds to kill them and a lot more than that if your only landing every other shot. Being that it's a lot harder for you to die, I think that makes the game more about skill than just fast reflex's. Keep in mind I'm good at both COD and BF4, with a greater than 1 K/D ratio in both, and I like both of those games, but I also like Killzone's MP, and I find myself playing a lot of it. Is it better? No, but it's different so you can't really directly compare. Negatives about the game- One definite negative is that the multiplayer portion of the game only runs at 960x1080p. Which is about 10% more pixels than 1280x720p. So at least it's not 720p. But I really wish it were at least 1600x900p. Because you CAN for SURE tell the difference between how CRISP single player looks and how multi player looks a LITTLE blurry. So this is somewhat of a big deal for me. Most XBox fans think pixels don't matter at all, I BEG TO DIFFER cause it's obvious to me and I can't stand anything under 1600x900. But they way they made it 960x1080, they did it very smartly, so it doesn't look all that bad but it is a negative for sure. And the only negative I can really gripe about because I love the game. You may not be able to tell if you watch a youtube video of this, but if your playing in front of your 60 inch screen like I am, the difference is almost night and day to an everyday gamer. I wasn't expecting much from KZ: Shadow Fall. But it did impress me. I got this game in a bundle for my PS4 so it's not like I was really wanting it. But I'm glad I got it cause it's constantly inside my PS4 being played. Overall I think this games an 8.5/10, but because some people are giving it a 0, I'm giving it a 10. Whoever gives this game less than a 6 or 7, simply don't know what a TRULY good game is.

inFamous: Second Son5
May 11, 2014
DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOUR USED TO CRAP CONSOLE PORTS AND DON'T MIND! (Seach for Infamous Second Son Stuttering, and if you can take that happening throughout the game, then buy it) Infamous Second Son is a real pleasure to look at. I mean it is just beautiful. This and Killzone Shadow Fall are the best two looking games on PS4. Killzone Shadow Fall is still the king of graphics though and it's miles more fluid. TECHNICAL PROBLEMS: I do notice a LOT of judder, being that the game isn't capped at 30 FPS, instead it goes from 30-45 from time to time causing a TERRIBLE stutter when running really fast and also moving the camera around really fast. It also has horrid looking texture pop-in, that also causes a stutter in the game. Personally I think it makes the game UNPLAYABLE. But I'm a PC gamer. But for those of you who don't mind gamebreaking stuttering and are used to playing crap console ports and don't mind(I know a lot of you won't see this cause you don't care about this), I'll continue my review like this doesn't exist. The gameplay is fun. I think it's so much fun to run around with all these super powered and blast people apart, or save them. And the difficulty on "Normal" is JUST right I think. I heard at the last minute they increased it just a bit. So you don't feel too over powered in the game. But you do have to retreat to gain health every now and then and you will find yourself dying if you aren't really trying your best to retreat and regain health. The game is also long enough to keep you engaged for quite a while. I've been playing since Tuesday and it's Thursday today and I am just a little past getting the second power out of the 4 powers you get. I've played about 4 hours per day for 2 days, so I'm 8 hours in and less than half way through. They say the game takes 10-15 hours to complete the story mode. But personally I can see this game taking me about 15 hours for full completion. And then I'll probably still roam around more or complete the "Evil" version of the game. Now with such a great job they did creating the city, and Delsin, and his powers, I figured they'd have A LOT more to do in this game, but besides the story, and unlocking the city from DUP, there isn't hardly anything to do that's the least bit fun. It's not remotely close to GTAV as for things to do, you can tell this game only took 2 years to make and not 3-4. Hopefully Watch Dogs has a LOT more to do. Graphics 10/10 Gameplay 7/10 Storytelling 7/10 Game Longevity 7/10 Game Smoothness/Play ability 0/10 OVERALL: Infamous Second Son SHOULD be a solid 8/10 game, but because of technical issues that have NOTHING to do with my PS4 or the disc(I know because I returned my PS4 and the disk and it still happens), the game is pretty much unplayable, even **** Punch admits this problem but says it has to do with the engine and they can't fix it.

Metro: Last Light10
Apr 29, 2014
Metro Last Light is my absolute FAVORITE game on my PC or my PS4. I've beat the campaign 3 times, and played every single DLC at least 3 times. The graphics in this game are top of the line. Better than Crysis 3 on PC IMO. Attention to detail and the lighting system is what sets this game apart from the rest. 10/10 no doubt. Best game.

Killzone: Mercenary10
Apr 29, 2014
I purchased a PS Vita because I wanted to play full length AAA PS games on a portable device. But when I got the Vita I realized that there really isn't but ONE true AAA game in the entire PS store. And that game is Killzone: Mercenary. The graphics in this game are just unreal being that this is on a portable device. It looks pretty much equal to Killzone 3. The textures and lighting are VERY high quality and the game actually renders in 960x540, the Vita's actual resolution, which you don't see very often and that's VERY impressive. No other game on the Vita comes close. Games like Uncharted: Golden Abyss look OK/Good for a handheld, but Uncharted ain't got nothing on Killzone: Mercenary. Another great thing about this game is that it's like a FULL fledged console game. There's a full single player campaign which took me about 12 hours to beat(I played the game on the hardest difficulty and restarted a lot), and a Multiplayer with all types of different loadouts, guns, and grenades, along with 8 unique maps. The thing I LOVE about the single player portion of the game is that you have numberous options on how you can approach you enemy. You can go in multiple directions, and you can go guns blazing, or you can kill them one by one, silently. I LOVE that you can go through the whole game and almost all the enemys silently, without even firing your gun. And in order to get "Intel", you'll need to do a LOT of silent kills if you want that accomplishment. So because you simply CANNOT find a better portable game, I find it very hard to give this game anything but a 10/10.

Resogun10
Apr 28, 2014
While Resogun isn't a AAA game like Killzone: Shadow Fall is, I get just as much enjoyment out of playing Resogun than I would any AAA game. I don't normally play shoot-em-ups. Those games aren't really my thing. But when you make a SHMUP look THIS pretty, and you give it awesome yet very different ship types and level designs, I can't really help but LOVE this GAME. Sure, it's fun to beat the game once on EASY mode. since all you have to do is beat one level at a time with 3 lives each level. But it's a LOT more fun when you give yourself goals. Like "Beat the whole game on "Veteran" without losing your 3 lives and having to start the level over", or "Beat this level on "Experienced" without dying or losing your multiplier, AND saving all the humans". I do this all the time with Resogun, and without me even knowing it I realized I'm in the TOP 100 on the leaderboards on almost every level. I knew I was pretty good but I didn't know I was TOP 100 good! I can admit that for SOME people, this game may be a little short. Afterall, some people just like to beat the game and that's it. But honestly, I don't think you beat the game until you beat the game on at least Experienced difficulty without losing your 3 lives. Normally, if you lose your 3 lives by the 3rd level, it'll start you over at the 3rd level with another 3 lives. So I don't think it's fair to say you "Beat" the game if you lose those 3 lives every level. Resogun might not be for everyone, and it's a little short if you don't at least get 75% of the trophies. But even if YOU don't like it, that don't mean it's a bad game, it's just not your style of game. Because as far as SHMUPS go, this is the absolute BEST there IS to offer, PERIOD! So don't rate it badly just because it's a SHMUP, rate it on how good of a SHMUP it is. I can't give Resogun anything less than a 10/10!

Trine 2: Complete Story10
Feb 2, 2014
If all of your favorite games are beginning to become boring and your in search for that next game to keep you busy but can't find one good enough. Try this. Trine 2 is AMAZING. The graphics are AMAZING. It's not like Crysis 3 where everything looks so realistic. But Trine 2 is the most beautiful game to date. Oh, you say you don't like puzzle games? I don't like puzzle games either, but I LOVE Trine 2. Oh you don't like side scrollers? I hardly ever play side scrollers, but I LOVE Trine 2. And if you have a 3D monitor, you are in LUCK my friend, if you think this game looks gun in HD, just think of it in 3D. The most beautiful 3D experience I've ever had. I own this game on PC, and it only cost me 19.99. That's 1/3 as much as a AAA game, yet it's better than most AAA games. Stop wasting time and get this game NOW.

Need for Speed: Rivals9

NFS: Rivals puts you in the middle of a small city, a forest in the hills, a snowy mountain, and a desert. The games graphics are massively impressive. The lighting, reflections and shadows are awesome on PC. And the cars look SO much better than anything else I've ever seen. The game also has a system where the time of day changes. So it can be sunrise, sunset, mid day, or night time. The game looks best at sun rise. It's breathtaking how awesome this looks. Most of the roads you ride on are blacktop with a very reflective surface. And you always have some type of debris floating around, whether it be snow, sand, green leaves, brown leaves, or rain. When it does rain, it can be anything from a drizzle to a thunderstorm. The rain looks amazing as does everything else. There is nothing like being a cop chasing a racer through a forest at night, and it's pouring down raining while your sirens are blasting and your engines revving up. It's an awesome experience. The sounds of the game are also quite impressive. As I've played racing games a good bit, and NFS: Rivals sounds are right on the money. Each car has a different sound and slightly different feel. Some cars are rather slow while others are blazing fast. You won't really hear too much background noise, other than other cars, cops talking, sirens, tire screeches, pursuit tech, and your own car. So you won't be hearing a whole lot of the birds chirping or water or anything like that. Although you can hear thunder if a thunderstorm rolls in, and yes you'll here waterfalls if you go right by them. But most of the time you just hear the radio playing and your own car. So thank goodness the sound track is awesome. I didn't know any of these songs before I played this game, but now I love the songs. The sound track is awesome. Awesome in that I've downloaded these songs and listen to them daily now. I've searched far and wide for an open world racing game that has the graphical standard I am used to from playing Far Cry 3, Crysis 3, and Metro LL. And this is the only game I can truly recommend. FYI, the next best is NFS: Most Wanted, although the graphics are a definite step down, it still looks better than anything else. The big downside to this game is the fact that it only runs at 30FPS. There is a "fix" to this where you can set it to whatever FPS you'd like. But if you have it set at 60FPS, and it drops to 59FPS, your game will slow down and your car will start to glitch. And even though I have a GTX780, it still drops to 59FPS every few seconds. Not because of the ability of the card, just because it's throttling to maintain 60FPS, and when you hit a point that gets strenuous, it'll drop to 59 then pop right back up to 60, simply because of the throttling, not the power of the card. So no matter how powerful your graphics card, you'll get this glitch. Although it looks SO much smoother at 60FPS, I run it at 30FPS so my car doesn't slow down and it doesn't glitch out. FYI, if I set the game with a 100FPS cap, the game only runs at about 80-85FPS with a 3570k@4.7Ghz and overclocked GTX780. So NFS: Rivals is a fairly demanding game. And I'm not surprised being that it's based on Battlefield 4's Frost Bite 3 engine. Also, I notice if I use this "fix", and I race online with other people, my car(although it doesn't feel like it to me)is a noticeable amount slower than other online racers. To the point that they beat you easily. Since I've gone back to the regular 30FPS this hasn't happened again. Maybe those players were just THAT good, probably not though. So between the looks, the sounds, and the gameplay, this is THE best open world racing game to date.
