Absolute dumpster fire. There's no way these positive reviews are real. A literal disgrace to the franchise. Not canon.

8 is a fair score. Some parts are a 10. Some parts are a 6 and feel rushed. A 9 or 10, it's not Worth buying and playing, though? Absolutely. Some parts are as good as a Resi game have ever been.

I'm a good citizen, so I make sure to bring a plastic bag with me and pick this game up after my dog if finished loosening it from its bowels.

Play with the lights off and headphones on. Some annoying set piece stuff that's boring - 1.
Long and boring sequence during the end-game - 1.
Game in general: great. 100% recommended. As for the backlash about the woke stuff:
Has a couple of annoying woke features. Bathrooms all say "all gender" for absolutely no reason. Could just say bathroom or something, but they had to fill their quotas. Speaking of woke quotas, if you go by the posters in the game, then 80% of people in space are black for some reason. Africa doesn't even have a space program but OK.

The first few hours are great. Everything after that is mid to low. Bad mid-game; worse ending. Overrated. Buy RE7 if you're looking to catch up on past survival horror games (as I've been doing recently). Buy Dead Space Remake. Only buy this if it's on an ultra deep sale and just play the first part of the game.

One word: overrated. Actually, one more: filler. Dull, filler side quests. If this were a fighting game, it would be called Filler Instinct. Admittedly, I only played for 5 hours. I tried, I really tried to like it, but it's really not that good a game. Luckily, it was free to play on the PS5. I don't know if people this gen actually know what a good game is any more. Seems to be the same for reviewers. There are some plus points: looks great in places; some charming dialogue.... hmm. Maybe that's it, actually. I thought I could make a list.

I won't go into detail, but: If you're sitting around wondering if it's worth it: yes. It is. it's really fun and has great replay value for the price. If you enjoyed playing this game, and you're looking for a reason to jump back into it for a while. You found it. Very good DLC for the price. Support these guys.

Excellent. This is how to do DLC. I'd say other companies should take note, but that's wishful thinking. At least we'll always have some good eggs out there like MDHR.

Dark Souls III9

OK, in short: Starts off not so great, too easy in most instances and bad balance. Once the game really gets started it's excellent, so the key is to bare with it. As a DS fan I was a bit disappointed at first. It's probably the best Dark Souls game. Certainly miles better than 2 but we knew that would be the case going in. Not QUITE as good as Bloodborne but Bloodborne is a legit masterpiece of gaming. It may end up being From's best game of all time unless they top it with a sequel (surely that's what's next for the team?). Graphics are a little dull in places early in the game and stunning as you progress. Some nice shout out and remasters from DS1 that players of the original will enjoy seeing again with current gen graphics. Some people are complaining about it but for me I love seeing a few familiar bits and pieces brought up to date. A lot of different enemies, again the balance is a little off and some are too hard and others not hard enough but they'll get the balance right with the next update. Starts off a little slow with armor sets but gets more interesting as you get into the game. If you're a souls fan just stick with it. It pays off once the ball starts rolling but it was a good 10 hours before I really started to enjoy the game as much as Bloodborne or DS1.

Anyone saying this isn't a love letter to Dark Souls are out of their minds. Yeah it's got Metroid style elements with the paths you can take eventually etc but it's essentially a 2D Dark Souls game. The good news is it's a really fantastic one. The only thing I'd change about it, is the art of the humans faces but that's a taste thing, they don't match the quality of everything else in the game. Few quick plus points: Challenging but rewarding. Big game for the price and of excellent quality. Good system for leveling/skill tree. Combat is basic yet complex to master due to enemy verity. Parries. Invincibility frames rolling. Looks amazing aside from the faces of humans but you can wear masks. More obvious weapon leveling system than Dark Souls. In short: It's really good. Best game I've played since Nuclear Throne, Rocket League and Bloodborne. The only let down is to play online co op is absurdly complex and not just a native thing you can do when you buy the game. Youtube it to see what I mean. I'm also knocking a point off for the outrageous amount of Dark Souls in here, even though I love that it is a 2D Souls game.

I don't review many games, only if it's a particularly excellent one. This is one that deserves it. Very tough (and so rewarding), smooth gameplay and mechanics, nice art style, great music, lots of replayabiity, old school sensibilities with a new fluidity, varied characters that really make you play your playing style, amazing in 1 player and I can't wait to convince a few friends to buy it so we can do a (local) co-op, marking it down one point for not having online multiplayer... Man, just an excellent, excellent shooter.

I love Dark/Demons/Bloodborne, so I don't mind dying (of course) a lot, there are a few moments that feel unfair, and a couple of enemies with especially annoying attack patterns but aside from that, this DLC is fantastic, more of the same excellence. FROM are just killer game makers, I think they may be the best in the world right now.

Excellent game. I don't like football games and I don't really like driving games either. The concept of this game seems so incredibly awkward that you think it can't possibly be enjoyable. However, play it for a few hours and you're in for a rude awakening: This game is excellent. I've spent the last three days playing this with a couple of friends and for a game to sit around on the sofa and play with friends it's hard to beat. I've not played a better 2 player game on a next-gen console. Just try it, providing you have patience you'll be rewarded for your efforts.

Excellent game. The people that are saying this is overpriced are insane. Every screen, every song, every bit of text: all made very lovingly and bursting with charm. Great gameplay with simple mechanics but a lot of variety in which to use it - which makes the game fresh at most turns. It has elements, of: Dark Souls (Repeating sections to perfection, having to recover your cash), Zelda/Megaman (Equipment, format (in places)), Super Mario World (Music and graphics in places). Difficulty is actually quite high depending on how you play the game, you can use a standard armour set to increase the difficulty if it's not quite as tough as you'd like. It's not Dark Souls hard but it's pleasingly difficult. Story is whatever but the game is all about gameplay and the writing is supernaturally charming and nicely written, taking loving jabs at classic, genre-specific cliches. Graphics are lovingly made and perfect for the job. Some people will complain that it's too short but for the money it isn't short at all. Roughly 10 hours of gameplay on a normal playthrough and then a NG+ option. In short: It's the most legitimate homage to old-school gaming I've ever played and to someone like me that's in his early 30s and played games through the NES and SNES era it's a legitimate joy to play.

FROM Japan Studio's masterpiece. Better than Demon's Souls and Dark Souls (Dark Souls 2 doesn't count of course and isn't a real part of the series, it's like the Mario 2 of the Mario series). In places it has the best graphics of any game, the sound is fantastic as always, level design is confusing at first as always but once you've completed the game a couple of times you know exactly where you're going and you can just pick and choose your routes with ease. I'm on my NG+2 at the moment and still going (82 hours of play). The combat is just such a joy that as with Dark Souls 1 it's not about completing the game once and leaving it, you only get to a really capable level after your first play-through. Multiplayer's excellent, my personal preference is getting to the end of the game (almost, so all the levels are unlocked) then helping other players out with boss battles but you can go for PVP if that's your preference. Too much to mention really but the idiots on here giving this a 0 are obviously just haters that bought a X1.... What a stupid choice you made, next time pay attention to what's going on in the industry instead of just buying what you think has a big name. Anyone that paid even the slightest bit of attention could see that X1 was trash and Microsoft are the evil empire. Poor misguided fools. As for the people that made the right choice, rejoice: This is the first 5 star title of the new generation. It's about damn time too. This is BY FAR the weakest generation of games in the history of gaming. Praise the Moon!

VF is a labour of love... It has a very quick learning curve if you just want to play and an extremely lengthy one if you plan to master it - To put that into context - I've been playing it for over a decade and I'm STILL not that good... but that's part of the charm... It's like learning to play an instrument, the journey is never ending and infinitely satisfying. It WOULD have been passed over by lesser gamers before the inclusion of an online mode but now these same players will be able to glimpse the heights that can be achieved with the cunning of experience, thought and persistence. It's simply the best fighter out there and it has been for at least 12 years. If you don't think so, you haven't played it enough yet. It's cheap but please don't be if you buy it, become a student of the game, seek knowledge and respect it and it will enrich you as a gamer.
