CONTAINS SPOILERS The Red Wedding TV episode was brilliant but lost something with some of the omissions from the book. For example: the flaming of the Stark army in their tents by catapult, the absence of Greatjon Umber, the Hound and Arya fighting to escape the Freys, Cat's doubts and the build-up of tension after Robb's party arrive at the Twins. Having said that, some of the changes were very effective: Robb's wife being there and dying alongside him (sad though it was), Cat killing Lord Walder's wife as opposed to Jinglebells and Grey Wind being shot while locked in a stall. Overall, I would say they did an excellent job and despite knowing what was coming I was deeply moved and disturbed by the intensity of the scene. I was just a little bit disappointed that some of the things I had anticipated didn't happen or were altered.

Probably my favourite ever show, but like so many fans I hated the ending. David Chase said in an interview that he didn't want to tie everything up because life isn't like that. But this is a TV show and the fans wanted to know what happened to the characters they had watched and grown attached to over the seasons. Big misjudgement. Other than that, fantastic show.

Boring characters and the plot makes no sense. Reels you in by making you think there is some awesome truth to be discovered and if you keep watching you will be rewarded, but the 'revelation' at the end is confusing and far from profound. Pretentious, self-indulgent drivel.

Convoluted, far fetched and frankly boring. Pleased to see the user score is lower than that for Walking Dead, but the critics' rating is ludicrously generous.

I don't understand how this hasn't got a higher score. The best show on TV in my opinion. More gripping and emotionally involving than anything else out there right now.
