An almost perfect mobile Mario game. The coin collecting was addicting for me. I still have about 20 black coins to get to complete that challenge. Toad Rally is so much fun but frustrating too when you make a crucial mistake to lose a race. I was afraid I would run out of toad bucks to keep playing Rally but building my kingdom has helped immensely with that. Th Kingdom builder part of the game is alright but for me it isn't much fun even though I have killed a couple hours getting my kingdom to look a specific way on 3 different occasions. Unlocking items for the kingdom is dependent on how well you play in Rally so I probably won't get everything unlocked in the foreseeable future. But even with only about 3500 Toads, I have already unlocked most of the items. People complaining about the price of the game have a right to not like having to pay so much for a mobile game but for me I have gotten my $10 worth already and I still plan on playing it at least 30 more hours (on top of the 40 hrs I have already spent on it). That being said, Nintendo should have priced it lower to get more people purchasing the whole **** maybe sell worlds individually to satisfy people that couldn't/wouldn't fork out $10 in one transaction. If you love Mario it's a must buy. If you want a game that can be played in short or llong bursts this is your game. If you have tons of friends on twitter or Facebook playing that is even more incentive to play this game.

I've only put in about 6 hrs into this game but I am having tons of fun so far. The jumping and grinding mechanics seemed a bit cheesy at first to me, but now that i am getting better at them, they definitely add something to differentiate this game from other similar games. I was very happy that the options had a choice to turn off cursing because I have 2 little ones at home. I tried the multiplayer online feature and it was fun but I **** compared to everyone else so maybe I will go back to it once I get better/farther in the game. The story is funny and weird and i has zombies so it is all good in my opinion. Its too bad this is a game that will never see daylight on a Sony or Nintendo console because all gamers deserve to play it.

Got this game for free with xbox live a while ago and finally got around to playing it. It is so much fun. Period. It reminds me of Limbo but with color and you can hear the main character talk. The only reason I didn't score this game a 10 is because it did take a bit to get used to the drawing with the control. That is something that would work so well on a touch screen but obviously only the Wii U has that on a console. I am in 3-2 (maybe farther because I just got the vine skill) and I cant wait to get more into the game. So far the puzzles have been only a bit difficult but I have died about 40 times because of trying to move faster than I probablity should have through levels. The huge tree log was cool and the trap for the 2 enemies was too. I like the slow mo cam for certain moments that require a bit more time to perform the drawing needed. This game has some collectible things that may give it replay value for some too. There are 75 eyeball things to rip out and a bracelet? of some sort that has hidden pieces throughout the game. I have like 13 eyeballs ripped out and only 1 piece of the bracelet thing. If you love puzzle and enjoyed Limbo or Inside, you have to give this game a shot. I would pay $15-20 for this game if I hadn't of got it for free.

Once they fix the issues with the servers this game will be an easy 8 or 9 for me. It has gotten me out and about my neighborhood like no other app has. I prefer to be indoors, in my home, and I would rather not be in places with a lot of people. This game makes me want to be out amongst others. The game is easy to play when it works. I haven't missed throwing pokeballs correctly very often. The Pokedex is nice to see. I haven't started upgrading my Pokémon, or done anything with eggs, but I am sure those things will only keep me playing more. I will update my review in about a month once this game has had time to get patched and more features added.

Solid game! Got it as part of Humble Bundle and so glad I jumped all over that deal. This game is addicting and frustrating but in the good kind of way. I haven't played much of the game but I love how easy it easy to change the difficulty and that there is a noticeable difference between easy, normal and hard! My 6 yr old son can enjoy it on easy and I can challenge myself with hard. I liked that the first couple levels are basically tutorials so that you learn the game as you play. The game has great music and the graphics are very enjoyable to watch. Oh I also like the rewards and stats areas. I love it when games show me what awesome things I have accomplished and other random information it collects of my gameplay. There is also characters to unlock. I haven't unlocked anyone yet but I am guessing it is the characters you see in the opening video of the game. I don't know how much this game retails for in the eShop, but I would be willing to easily pay $5...maybe even $10.

I have never played Minecraft so I can't compare this game to the original, but I have played Cube Life on the Wii U so I will make so comparison to that game. Cube Creator is a good game for the creative mode but the survival mode leaves much to be desired. I have played about 5 hours on survival and it seemed to easy to build the best weapons. I already have gold everything but on Cube Life I barely have middle level weapons and I am 20+ hours into that game's survival mode. The AI of the enemies in survival is pretty weak. The bears can be annoying in groups but the other enemies are easy to defeat because you can run circles around them and hit them. The selection of material and tools is good for a 3DS game I guess. I wish I had more options but that is just me wanting more to do in the game. Creative mode is great but I personally don't like that aspect of these type of games. I love seeing the things other people put up on Miiverse, but I don't get into creating things like others do. I also wish this game had some multiplayer so my son and I can do some co-op with our 3DSs. If you are into Minecraft type games, and you want one on your 3DS, then this is a good buy. It won't blow your mind at how amazing it is but it will entertain you for several hours.

Cube Life: Island Survival

My younger brother is a Minecraft lover but I haven't done more than watch him play a couple times. My 6 yr old thought MC was cool so I figured I would get Cube Life for him to try out something like MC... well both of us are hooked on the game. My son loves the creative mode because he cant make whatever he wants and he likes using the Wii U pad in the game. I have been hooked on the survival mode. I am in day 45ish and I loving it but with some frustrations. I like being able to swim over to other islands to meet new villages and find other items not available in my home island. I have been eaten by many sharks and attacked by a couple villages when I 'damage' their island. The AI of animals is random and not always as smart as I wish it was... other times it is down right evil! Eagles can be annoying but manageable... but sharks are SO annoying! They sneak up on you and kill you almost instantly. Since I had trouble killing one shark (until I learned a trick to trap them) I barely built a raft. I did steal a canoe from a village and that made traveling so much easier but be aware that the canoe is destroyed by enemies if you build your fortification near the canoe. The canoe also does not like crashing into an island. I have lost a couple that way! :( I wish the game had for save states for survival...1 is just not enough so 3 would be the bare minimum for me. I also wish there was a way to fast forward time at night. I usually spend the night time prepping items and creating new things but I still end up just sitting playing on my phone waiting for 5am to roll around. On a 3ds game called Cube Creator you can jump in a sleeping bag to go to bed and fast forward time a bit. I would appreciate that feature. Cube Island is also missing multi-player. I would like local co-op so my son and I can play together. One on the TV and one on the gamepad would be pretty awesome. Online multi-player would be cool too. One glitch in the game I have noticed is that sometimes when you load your game you start off in a drowning state so you could die in about 10 seconds unless you jump into a body of water to get you **** in air. I can't compare this game to MC but I can say it is fun to play and very addicting.

I really wanted this game to be good because I was disappointed at the online multiplayer with CoD BO2 and Ghost on the Wii U. Splatoon is so much fun! Period. This game is good for people that love shooters whether they have tons of experience or not. My 6 year old and myself have been playing this game daily since it came out about 4 weeks ago. I will admit that I am very disappointed my the local multiplayer the game currently has. The Battle Dojo would be so much more fun if it could be 4 player or more local co-op. If it was on online option as well that would be cool too. My hope is that in August the game will have that aspect improved. I have had very little with connectivity for online ranked or non-ranked matches. About 3-4 times I got the boot but it is rare. Most of the times I only wait 1 min at most to begin the match. The single player campaign was tons of fun. The final boss was tough and enjoyable to defeat. Oh and great music too! The amiibo content was also tons of fun. I have beat all the levels with the amiibos except for the final boss with the long range weapon. I really really wish this content was not locked behind the amiibos but I knew I was going to get the 3 pack so I knew I would have access to the content from day 1. I wish the single player campaign could have at least been local co-op too. My son would have had tons of fun playing with me instead of watching me. He had a tough time with some of the levels so playing with him at the same time would have helped him big time. Bottom line: If you own a Wii U and you like shooters, buying Splatoon is a no-brainer. If you don't have a Wii U, this game + Mario 3D World + Bayonetta 2 + Mario Kart 8 means it is time to buy one.

I have only played the first few missions so far but I am completely enjoying this game. I was afraid the critics would be right about the bad frame rate issues when driving but I have yet to see that and I have torn through the city going as fast as possible and not once have I seen any issues with the game/system being able to keep up with me. Maybe the issues the critics had occurred later in the game though. I will update my review in a few weeks, once I have done more mission and side quests. But after 2-3 hours I am looking forward to the rest of this game. One word of warning though if you have little ones around, there is a bit of cursing so you have been warned. I ended up playing on the gamepad with headphones, which took some of the decent gamepad implementations away from me, but worth if if I want to play with my children in the same room.

I am so glad I rented this game instead of buying it. This game would be a decent buy for $10 max! Unfortunately, no one is selling it for that price yet. I played it for maybe 30 minutes before I gave up on it. Flying around on the dragons was fun but the mini games got old fast. Controlling the dragons isn't difficult but children will struggle to maneuver the dragon through the ring mini games. The biggest problem with the game is it is so limited in what it offers a player. There is no story/campaing mode. There is limited multi-player action available. It feels like the developer spent a lot of time trying to get the visuals to look nice and the controls to not be broken and they ran out of time to make an actual complete game. I feel bad for any parent that bought this game for their child and then had to see their kid quit on the game probably immediately.

This is a pretty easy game... but at times it is very tricky. Example = there is a wall jump necessary towards the middle of the map/castle that is nearly impossible to achieve. Fortunately, and unfortunately, the game saves each time you enter a new area and/or door. This means the multiple times you die will not lead to you to losing much time. There are some upgrades you get throughout the game that will give you access to more of the castle. Boss fights are easy and not that enjoyable. Overall, i spent about 3 hrs to complete the game. A 8 yr old should be able to pass this game pretty easily...a 5-6 yr old may get **** adult will probably not enjoy the game much unless they loved the characters in the movie. I got it for $5 so i think i got my money's **** if i had paid retail i would be really annoyed/disappointed with this purchase.

If I had paid $60 for this game, I would probably feel the same as other reviewers of this game, but I only paid $17 so keep that in mind for my review. I have played most of the COD games but not very intensely since MW1. This is your typical COD game. Great campaign mode that can be a challenge on the highest difficulty. It took me about 6-8 hours to complete on Normal and I am still working on the hardest level. I have played online mostly and it has been typical COD fun. The perks are cool but I miss some of the old ones I remember from MW. The thing I hate the most about this game is the limited number of players available to play this game online. I regularly only see about 200 to 300 people available to play. On weekends it can reach 500 to 600 but rarely more than that. I know on Xbox 360 I would have thousands of people to play against/with. OBVIOUSLY, this is due to the fewer Wii U owners than PS3/4 and Xbox 360/1 owners but it is kind of annoying to have so few people to compete against. BOTTOM LINE: If you didn't buy this game from day 1 of the Wii U (and paid less than $30 for it) then you are probably quite happy with this game. I got my money's worth just with the time spent online. Yes it **** that the DLC available on other consoles will never come to Wii U, but the game is still fun to play. It is frustrating that so many people have given this game a negative review even though it is still a fun COD **** if I had paid $60 for it I guess I would be upset too.

A different kind of Zelda game... but so much fun nonetheless. I have killed more hours than I care to admit. I have yet to unlock everything but I love how much content this game has. Pros: + Zelda in a new type of game + easy to master combo system + lots to unlock + great variety in playable characters +local co-op play is available + great variety in game modes Cons - Not a traditional Zelda game - Basic enemies dont actually try to hit you - Really really hard on Hero - No online co-op The regular story mode was fun to complete on normal... I cant imagine beating the final boss on Hero but I guess that is a challenge I will have to be up to one day. Adventure mode is basically equivalent to shorter levels compared to story mode. You do quick challenges like beat specific bosses or kill a certain number of enemies. I like that it forces you to use characters you may not have had much time to play with in story mode. I haven't done much with the other modes but I am glad I have future options available to me once I get tired of the modes I have focused on so far. Upgrades for each character are numerous. You can give them better attacks, better defense, and other things such as options to carry more potions. You will play forever trying to upgrade your favorite (or all) characters. BOTTOM LINE: If you are a Zelda fan, you will most likely love this game. If you are into button mashing games, you will enjoy this game. The DLC that has been released, and yet to be released, will had more replay-ability to this game.

Pros: +Several fun ways to use Gamepad in mini games +Funny Rabbids as usual +Lots to unlock +Challenging at times Cons - Only 2 players at a time = NOT a true party game (4+ players at a time) - Some mini games not much fun My son and I enjoyed this game but he had a hard time with many of the mini games (he is 5 yrs old). He hasn't developed the hand eye coordination to be successful with the wiimote or the gamepad. Since some of the mini games require co-op action between 2 players (for example the rabbids needing a seatbelt or being fed mini games) I haven't been able to complete those successfully ever. If I had an older partner, we could work it out, so know that the youngest rabbids fans make feel frustrations playing this game at times. The gameboard is fun and interesting. You roll a die and land of various spots to activate mini games, trivia, other actions. The computer is pretty easy to beat but the true fun is competing against a friend that is in the room with you. The game also has a single player mode that lets you take on each mini game to earn points to unlock video clips. I have enjoyed this experience quite a bit. I just wish some of these challenges were tougher to accomplish successfully. My biggest gripe with this game is only 2 people can play at a time on ALL the mini games... even if you have 4 friends playing the game, you have to take turns = LAME party game. Now if your 2 extra friends dont mind just watching and making fun of the 2 players actually playing then this could be a fun 'party' game. Bottom Line: IF you can find this game for under $20 then you should get it. I payed $13 and it has been well worth it. If you can get past the 2 player at a time limitation, you will have some good fun with friends/family

This is a game for artists and/or Pokemon fans. Is it really a game? I don't know. I bought this for my son and he had a blast drawing the first 5 Pokemon he tried. It did get a bit harder for him when he started getting more freedom (he is 6 yrs old) but with a little parental help, he was able to complete successfully his drawings. PAA takes you step by step with the first few drawings. It tells you what you should be doing and shows you how to accomplish each step. For my son, it really helped him when he needed to push a button that the button would light up. I am not much of an artist but I don't mind dabbling in the arts from time to time. I am hoping my wife will give it a shot since she is the painter/drawer in the family. This could be a game that could unite the family in a fun activity... imagine family competitions? Pros +Easy to pick up and follow +Great drawing lessons +Plenty of tools for creative types +Great replay-ability Cons - Not a traditional Pokemon game - May not be suitable for young artists Bottom Line: If you know someone that is into Pokemon AND loves to draw, this is a no-brainer. If the person you want to get this game does not enjoy drawing, then stay clear away from it because even if they are a Pokemon fan, they may hate you for not getting them an actually Pokemon game.

I played MK8 before playing this one but I was not disappointed at all, especially when I saw the battle mode maps that MK8 is seriously lacking. The new tracks are great looking and fun to drive on. The classic tracks are well done as well. I have only unlocked a few things so far (almost done with 50cc) but just like MK8 it looks like there is tons to open up... slowly but surely. I went online once and enjoyed the experience as well. Easy matchmaking and it didn't take forever. No lag during the race as well. Looking forward to several hours of fun with this one just like all the Mario Kart games.

There is no reason this game should have a 6.8 average user score! This game is so much fun to play. I know Spanish so that makes this game even cooler for me. I love all the throwback fan service to old NES players like myself. I had fun going through the world and picking up new skills and reading the story line. I had a tough time with some of the combos I practiced with the rooster, but overall I was able to put together some sweet combos after some practice. I am 5 hours into the game and have not passed it yet. I haven't enjoyed playing this game in co-op mode but I imagine it makes it more fun. If you are into games that make you laugh. that are visually pleasing, and that are tons of fun, then you can't go wrong with this game.

If battle mode was better, this game would get a 10 from me. Not having special battle mode areas was the worst idea Nintendo had. I would have preferred they simply reused the areas from past games at least than having players race around tracks. The tracks are great = the new ones are beautiful and creative and the old ones are touched up to make them more enjoyable. Online play is seamless and I hope more games use the online play system used for this game. If you have played Mario kart in the past, you wont be disappointed by this game...unless you are a huge battle mode lover.
