Wow, my review, which contained no swearing, was deleted. I wonder what I said that upset people... The game is 12 hours long including the mandatory backtracking on every level. The combat system is the exact same garbage as was in Force Unleashed. The story has more plot holes in the first ten minutes than most games ever have.

This game is using a refined form of the same basic systems as King of Dragon Pass, but in a new time and place and with a new story. While the story is a bit shorter than KoDP, it is better in my opinion. You will start out thinking, hmm, where is this going and then, bam, things happen. To avoid spoilers. I have no technical issues and this release is more professional than the re-release of KoDP onto Steam. For those who have not played KoDP you are essentially the guiding hand behind a clan of horse hereders, you make their decisions, war, grazing, magic, your gods, threats from all sides. There is a great deal of story but there are battle events you play through and management of your lands and herds. The artwork is, as usual for A sharp, fantastic.

This is not terrible, but it is mediocre. The facial animation might actually be worse than Andromeda. The writing is poor, and fetch quests galore. Combat is average, control with a pad is janky and jittery. If I was going to compare it to another game, it would be Dragon Age Inquisition, but with fewer choices to make in game. This is not a rpg, it is just an action game with some story.

Everything I look for in a game is in this game. It is 20% Firefly, 10% Bebop, and 73% Privateer. The music is great, the combat is fun, the systems are well developed. I think this is my favorite game for the last two or three years. Small response to many of the negative reviews.... an airforce in the real world does not fly with a keyboard. Buy a flippin joystick or xbox controller. Don't mark down a games score because you are stupid or contrary.

Poor graphics and an extremely bad AI lower the scores on this one for me. Also the terrible hit boxes and boring duels. I am no Koei fan but the should have bought Romance XIII and looked how duels were done by Koei. The duels in this are binary, you know who wins or loses before the duel starts. The good side is basically this is the same as Shogun2, Rome2, Attila in game play, so it can still hold your interest as a game.

So far a good but not great game. It feels more like Mass Effect 1 than Dragon Age Inquisition which is a good thing as far as I am concerned. Story is interesting, combat is excellent, companions are so far a bit flat but so was Garrus in ME1. The graphics are amazing, with particularly the space sequences being beautiful. Animations are poor in dialogue.
