Playing this in 2023 is just for the nostalgia. Anyone saying this game is one of the worst is greatly exaggerating. It's not great, but it does do some interesting things for RPGs like allowing a bit of freedom in customizing a class. It is a bit generic in its story and never gets more than average in most aspects. But I still enjoy it for what it is.

Not without some flaws, but the story was moving and the mechanics were enjoyable. A game that took a chance at something new and succeeded where it tried.

Too many approaching this game with the wrong expectations. Enjoyable and fun.

So much missing content and half baked world. The lack of RPG elements leaves anyone wanting a full experience with a lot to complain about.

A broken mess, anyone giving this game a 8+ score is a fanboy trying to pretend it doesn’t have massive flaws. So much missing content that is inexcusable.

I don't often write reviews, but I must for this DLC. This is by far the worst DLC experience I have ever had. The first few hours contains some of the most tedious gameplay mechanics that never became enjoyable. Rather than quit I stuck through it and finally completed the story. Reaching the Casino actually made it more enjoyable but only just enough to give it a 1/10, before that this DLC was a 0/10. This is my opinion of course. I really dislike tedious gameplay that makes you repeat tasks for no reason other than padding game time.

I am rating the game as it was launched, not what they can do to fix it. A flawed mess with poor visuals and poorly designed AI.

EDIT 2: After attempting to play multiple times, the game continues to delete itself and I am unable to play pretty much everyday. I am done trying to get this game working on my system. It doesn't deserve your time. EDIT: After playing for a week and many hours, this game is a frustrating buggy mess. There has been no official fix and it hasn't improved in any way. I'll keep my original comment up but my score has changed. Enjoyable game when you get on properly. I have been unable to play with any friends due to the limitation of Blocks. Quite a bit of stuttering in game when in the Lobby that makes it very difficult to access menus and missions. Hopefully things improve soon.

If you are a purist of FFVII you can simply choose not to play this game. If you always wanted more from Final Fantasy VII and to experience more of the world, then your time has come. This is a fantastic remake that adds to the lore, world, and battle system. Loving every moment of this game.

I have had to rewrite my review. I expected more content for player 2 after the first week and upgrading buildings. Sadly this game is only meant for 1 player. If you are not the citizen representative then you are playing a very shallow game. Everything you can do is nothing compared to the first person on the island. Very frustrating experience since there are some great improvements to other parts of the game.

Shadowbringers shows that it is possible to have an amazing story in a MMO. Not only does this expansion excel in storytelling but it takes Final Fantasy into a whole new direction.

Without spoiling anything, FFXIV continues to prove that compelling narrative can be made in a MMO. With a focused story driving the Scions forward, I was on the edge of my seat worried for each character's fate. With new features, the player's character is more enhance than ever. I truly love this expansion and all that comes with it.

A long wait well worth our patience. Kingdom Hearts 3 meets all my expectations and expands upon the franchise. Combat is smooth and engaging while not being too different from what we already have in the series. The game feels like it has matured in the years since KH2 and doesn't start off holding your hand. Worth every minute and cent that you spend on this game. Enjoy your adventure!
