I came into this game not liking it very much. It was soooo different from the other souls game. But after some time in and beating lady butterfly, I finally understood how I was supposed to play. I felt the swordplay so keenly once I got into rhythm and improved on deflecting and posture damage. When I finally understood the gameplay, I began to enjoy the world more. Sekiro and the people he interacts with hold a lot of meaning. You genuinely care about them. I haven't felt that way for a long time, which was back in demon souls and in ds1 . The world is not only beautiful but detailed and interactive. Sooo many ways to explore as a shinobi. Crawling under spaces or soaring through the air by grappling. I love how much it feels like you're an actual shinobi. Especially when you have so many arm upgrades to choose from too. The best thing is you can literally beat any boss without them but they're still there if you want to fight a certain way. Customizing your playstyle is very appealing. My favorite was the umbrella and mist feathers since I resort to being defensive to contain my panic moments. Music was ok. I probably only liked about 5 tracks and so that's a little disappointing for me because I care very much about the ost of every souls game. And I only didn't like the fact that they reused a lot of bosses and areas. Wish I could have explored more places and fight some more different bosses. Ptsd of a certain giant ape... Solid game. Loved it very very much. Close second to my favorite souls game which is still BloodBorne. Although I'd pick sekiro gameplay over any other souls game. And this is coming from someone who initially hated it. I'd give it 8.5/10 but since I can only pick whole numbers it'll be a 9 on metacritic.

After spending twelve hours, I finally managed to finish this wonderful game and can finally write a review for it! Story: It's a very charming story and although the ending was bittersweet, it made the whole thing seemed even more beautiful in a sad way. There's always been an air of apprehensiveness and fear of wondering if Geron and Nuri would end up together or be forced to part. The ending was something not completely unexpected but it was still surprising. Anyways, the pace wasn't too fast or too slow. It was done well enough for one to get to be fond of the characters and sympathize with that they were going through. The story here, was probably the best feature of the game. I loved it and thought it was very well written. You were always on the edge of your seat, wondering about what would happen next or what was Nuri's reason for not wanting to return home to fairyland. Characters: The characters here were diverse and Geron and Nuri in particular, were very detailed and in depth. There was a vibrance with their interaction with each other, and it highlighted their differences which somehow ended up complimenting each other. Geron is a sarcastic, grouchy, slightly pessimistic but good man. Nuri was a sweet, nice and understanding fairy. She was kind of naive but there was a doting innocence about her that made her very endearing. Art: What can I say, the landscape is gorgeous. Plenty of colors and details. My favorite was the inside of the caravan actually. The lighting and arrangement on the inside was lovely. Kinda wish we could have seen the same amount of details with the character models but it's good enough. Voice: Convincing performance here. The voice actors did their job well enough. Too bad the lips don't synchronize so it looks choppy at times. Oh, and I liked everyone's voice actors except for the seer. It sounded like the voice actor was totally disinterested and just couldn't put his heart into it. Puzzle: If you're new to point and click adventure game, you might be put off since the puzzles are quite complicated at times. If you're familiar with these kind of games, these will be hard enough to keep you occupied, but not too mind blowing hard that would make you want to cheat or quit the game. I found that as long as you noticed absolutely everything, you should be fine. Otherwise, you'll wander around an area all confused and it's because you didn't see a mirror or something. Music: I adored the music in this game. It matched with the settings and story well and overall, the entire ost was very good. Animation: Sometimes the animation freezes or Geron ends up walking kind of laggy manner. But it's not game breaking or anything. Just something that might make you sigh every once in awhile. Conclusion: This is a game that I would totally recommend. But buy it when it's on sale. There's not much replayability and it is quite short. But it is totally a 'short and sweet' game. From the story to characters to the music and to the art, it ranks very high with me and I know I'll remember this game for some time to come. I'm already eagerly playing its sequel.

Until Dawn

This was a really fun and scary game to play. I will go over Until Dawn through some main points. Setting: It provided a dark, creepy, nerve wracking setting with the mines, to an equally tense and foreboding atmosphere of a comfy lodge to an empty dismal one. The forest itself seems to swallow you whole at times. There were plenty of items to bring the deathly stillness and ominous feelings to a higher level. Everything from skulls, dried blood, broken furniture, rusty saws, creepy paintings, high stairways and enhanced this. Whenver I had to walk around, my eyes were constantly roaming around, trying to see through the darkness or determine whether a chair was a dead body or something. Characters: There was a good variety of all sorts of personalities in the cast. You'll hate some, you'll love some. All I can simply say here, is that the characters had depths, their dialogues with each other felt very real and they were relatable. I liked everyone personally except for Emily lol. But kudos to the voice actress and scriptwriter for succeeding in making her be so disliked. Sounds: Creepy and dark background music, accompanied by screechings really tickles the hair on one's neck. It was fantastic. I also like the music that played on Jessica's cell. The sounds of crunching feet in the snow and other movements were also very accurate, and helped alot with immersion. Story: Without spoiling, I'll say the story was pretty crazy (in a good way) and it really hooked me to keep playing. You're constantly going forward in hopes of surviving, but there's also a secondary curiosity on what the hell is actually happening. The game provides good detailed clues to push the story forward and it really shows how the past affects the future. I enjoyed it immensely, though I wish we got to play certain characters alittle more. We know too much about some, like Mike, and not enough for characters like Matt for example. Shortcoming: It'd be nice to able to run. Like seriously. If my loved one was in peril, I'm not gonna walk around like I'm taking a stroll. Secondly, already mentioned, having more equal playtimes with all the characters would be niced. Being able to explore Josh's head more was very desired. The character's relationship bars also needed to play a bigger role in the game. Also, the jumpscares were alittle overplayed in the game. Overall, I would definitely recommend this game to fans of the horror genre. It's entertaining, very human, suspenseful and very enjoyable to play.

This game... was disappointing, to say the least. I will sum it up in point form to a better analysis. Graphics: Amazing and beautiful world we have here. The details are incredible! The landscape is stunning and the attacks are flashy. No complaints here. Character Customization: Unless you're amazingly artistic, and spend about two hours here, you characters can be passable at best. The awkward green lighting during this process throws off alot of things. I had no idea my character's lips were that shiny until I hit the ingame cutscene. Lack of hair was also sad. Wait for future mods to improve on this Companions: Only near the end of the game do you even care about them. Whereas DA:2 make you baby sit your companions and do like 50 quests for them, here, we have like one personal quest or maybe 2. And the interaction conversations are short, and lacking in substance. Which is quite sad because the chars have a very solid personality, it's just not executed well by the way your inquisitor interacts with them. It can be SO much better, like in DA;O. Btw, besides Lelianna (the person working on her spent all his time on her face than everyone else), Vivinne, Cullen, Varric, Dorian and maybe Solas, everyone looks terrible, especially NPC. Yea, even Celene looked bad. Or at least average. Gameplay: THIS THING **** FOR PC. WHAT THE HELL WHERE THEY THINKING? DID NO ONE TEST THIS ON PC?! Forget using the tactical mode, you'll want to break your screen. And the frickng tactics system was horrible. I was utterly appalled. DA:O and DA:2 had a very deep and good tactics system. They didn't even try for this one! You literally have like 4 commands, two of which is drink pots and move. As for skill usage, you can only set to using it alot, moderately or disable it. WTF?! They removed healing, which is completely stupid. Now you have to backtrack constantly to stock up on pots. Barriers just doesn't cut it. When you're playing on hard or higher difficulty, you'll want to pull your hair out. Your companions are stupid and need to be micromanaged every second because tactics ****, you'll run out of pots constantly and overall it's a huge step down from DA:2 battles or DA:O tactical battles. It's like Bioware tried to combine both and made the world's ugliest baby. Btw you can't arrange skills. It's automatic, even if you don't like it. World: I said the world was beautiful and all but it's INSANELY BIG. There was no need for it to be this bi, especially if there's nothing interesting happening. Thank god you can teleport when you find campsites. Finding people and places are a chore. Sometimes there's up a level or down a level and you're circling around the glowing spot on the map like an idiot. Story: Uhhhhh.... so after running around, killing things for hours, we get a very anti-climatic boss fight at the end. The mage rebellion and grey warden parts of the story was perfect, so that saved the story. But after that, nothing much happens really. Anything that did happen, was cliche and unmoving or boring. It felt like padding and it was disappointing. Your inquisitor seemed pretty mellow about the whole thing to be honest. Like they tried to be inspiring and be a hero but it sorta felt flat. Or they were just an **** and didn't really care. The humor type was amusing at times though. From the series, in terms of world and story, DA:O is superior. In terms of gameplay, DA:2 is the best (I'm slightly biased here) and DA:O... just has the best graphics. I got so tired of the game I didn't bother finishing an entire area of quests.

This game shall forever be a slap in the face for fans of the series. It's blatant cash cow with no shame what so ever. I have never in all my life seen a DLC character costing 100$ to be unlocked, especially for this Free to play game. There is nothing new or innovative and it even dumbs down the fighting mechanics, such as removing ring outs. If you really miss old characters that got cut I swear you will have ten times more fun and less frustration to just play old games of the series. The loading times is enough for me to fold a week's worth of laundry while waiting to play and the constant errors is ridiculous. The costumes they release for you to buy is downright disgusting. I don't mind some sexy costumes/fanservice once in awhile but this is getting beyond pathetic. It's so obvious they're trying to pull horny teenagers into buying that they've even hired a hentai artist to design one of their latest outfit. The grace, depth and efforts of all the past games were thrown out the window and buried with this game. I laugh at whoever spends money on this game and when I uninstalled this piece of garbage, I never looked back. This game doesn't even deserve a 1/10. SC: Legends is better than this garbage and I never thought that could be possible.
