I was afraid this game would suffer from the COD-decease but I was wrong. The balancing (grunt vs mech) is excellent and the objective based game styles are fun and intense. Each match is seldom longer than 10 minutes and therefor great for a quick shooter fix without having to rely on twitch reflexes. Playing tactically pays off. Compared to GR: Phantoms you don't necessarily lose if you end up on the same team as COD-players. The story setting is great and immersive and it looks great as well!

Console. Port. And not a great one at that. Graphics are fine. Settings and story telling is fine. Mouse and keyboard controls are horrible on the verge to unplayable. Especially for a cover to cover shooter. If it would have had the same controls as Ghost Recon Future Soldier it would be fine. Loading stutter interrupts flow as well. Might be fixed with patching but I don't really feel compelled to pick it up again.

Everything that needs to be said has already been said. EA is the real culprit here and it's a sad moment for us gamers as well as the designers and the developers of this long awaited title. If I only could hope that any lesson was learned by the bean counters I wouldn't fret as much but EA/Origin (as well as UBISoft/UPlay) has proven that that isn't the case. I have the money. I believe in paying for my entertainment but the distributors are making it harder and harder to not turn to other suppliers. Sure I could wait a while and this will settle. But I paid for this. And pre-ordered it to be able to play come launch day. This way of treating me, the customer, is not alright. I want the product. I just don't want EA or Origin to be any part of it. Nor UBISoft and UPlay either.

Enjoying myself fully after 3-4 missions in the cinematic single player part of this game. Not as scary as the earlier AvP games but a solid SP experience. So far my only real complaint is the scripted pauses where the tracker is not accessible. The unlocks and leveling feels well integrated and solid and adds more game within the game. Good: gfx, sound, control Not as good: Scripted, interrupting pauses, tracker feels a bit scripted

I had to revise my previous score. After trying to struggle my way through the SP campaign I find it appalling. If had never played an FPS before it might not have been so bad but this game is only a waste of time and money. I've heard that triple A titles are going away but I hope it's not to be replaced by triple C titles. Seems no one (besides gfx and sfx department) gave this title any love.

Initial release was way too buggy but after 1.02 patch most SP issues I had are fixed. MP is great when you find servers that favors team play. This is a serious sim-like 1-shot-1-kill no-frigging-bunny-jumping game so if you're looking for BF3 or CoD in WW2 setting you're far off.
