Even Bill Nighy can't save this appalling movie based on Jane Austen's wonderful book. Yes, the costumes are exquisite--no expense was spared--and the vistas were grand--but the acting was wooden; wooden except when the actor was OVER-acting dreadfully. The occasional surprises were definitely unnecessary and distracting. As a former English professor I would recommend the 1996 version of Emma, with Kate Beckinsale, Bernard Hepton, Mark Strong, and Samantha Bond.

What a stunning move! Outstanding performances by two of the world's greatest living actors. No car chases; no sex, but a terrible moral dilemma and some A+ photography.

Skip this. Stephen Spielberg has made some good movies, but this is not one of them. He has taken a series that began strong--with humor and imagination--and turned the fourth into bland acting, unimaginative special effects, and no reason to root for anyone. You can always tell when Spielberg is totally out of good ideas when the music track is painfully loud.

There's nothing original in this movie. Every spy-thriller cliché is amped up; every car chase contains more cars and more twisty routes; every explosion is bigger and louder; if--in an ordinary movie--you have a truck hiding around the corner, ready to collide with oncoming traffic, in Fallout you have three trucks lurking around three corners. And I agree with GinaK below: it's much too long.
