This was my first time playing a 4X turn-based game, and what a great introduction to the genre! Of course, this game may not appeal to every type of player due to the amount of micromanagement it requires. The graphics are decent, the sound effects are cool, and most importantly, the gameplay is satisfying in itself. There are a few things that need to be improved. The good news is that the game is still receiving updates and DLCs. Therefore, we can expect improvements to its UI, core mechanics, and the addition of new content, such as new maps, nation leaders, and more. You will need patience—this is not a 40-minute match kind of game. Build strategically, grow steadily, conquer fiercely. If you enjoy strategy games, resource management, crafting, and technology research, among other mechanics, you’ll love it. Give it a try.
