The main issue with this show is that it simply does not care about the murder case or any of its story content. Mostly it is a mix of political messages that are - like in so many shows - again sent by focusing on stereotypical characters. In Ep 6 they try to draw from the dream sequences in Twin Peaks without ever nearly reaching that quality. Those pretentious sequences just add to the show losing direction.
