This is THE BEST RPG on 360, hands down. When I say best rpg, I mean real RPG, not shooters where you can level up your armor, gun, and powers... or hack n slash, watered down action titles (action rpg's). Just because a game has a progression system doesn't make it an RPG, it just means more things open up and you go through game so it doesn't get boring as fast... Lost Odyssey comes close, but the combat of MC gives it the little notch it needs to be above LO. Seriously though, if you're a fan of old good story based, turn based fighting (this game is not necessarily turn based, really, but it mixes the genres of turn, strategy and action into an interesting hybrid and one of the best combat systems IMO) with fleshed out characters with backstories (not 1 dimensional chars like the latest FF series, or many actionrpg titles), multiple sidequests (many of which will give you a clue to a character's back story or personality), this is the game for you! I seriously wish this would become the new RPG franchise to keep producing, since FF has **** since X, Shadow Hearts got killed by the third installment being too childish, and Star Ocean just pretty much fell apart on the 360 release. Giving it a 9, if the cutscenes were better, it would be a 10 in my book,.

The game isn't perfect, by any means, but it's still a good game. For those complaining about story, I didn't think it was as bad as 90% of shooters that get 90+ metascore for being boring and repetitive, "go here, shoot this, retrieve info, go there, shoot that retrieve suspect, blah blah blah....". The combat is awesome, the graphics aren't "super sweet so real you can't tell if it is real or not its sooooo realistic", and personally, I like it that way. If I want reality, I turn off the video games. I enjoy the more fantastical environments, everything being so realistic all the time in today's gen of gaming has made it pretty mundane, as far as I'm concerned. Also, I suppose I can say it reminds me of the PS2 days, where I also thought most AA games were better than most AAA games. They're more inventive, as opposed to big budget games that are basically copy, paste, and slightly edited versions of the previous game. I would say this game is a meeting of Prince of Persia and Tomb Raider. If you enjoy either of those games, or the action genre in general, check this game out. Don't listen to the reviewers who can't wait to put this game down so they can pick up the new yearly release of CoD, Assassins creed, and now what looks like it's going to be Gears (sadly they jumped on the kill the franchise wagon). I thoroughly enjoyed this game.

I think everyone that hates this game, hates it because they tried to play versus and I owned them to the point of destroying their controllers. ;D GT is BirrML, bring it! I think the game is great, and refreshing after being stuck with so many COD clones, including COD's own clones. Meh, sorry, this game is different. Can't take it? Go back to playing your n00b friendly COD. If you use straegy and know how to do something other than run and shoot, you might fair decently in this game. It's all about tactics and using your powers properly. People who play dumbed down shooters, that only allow for run n gun, hate this game, of course, because gamers like me destroy them. Go back to your weak FPS and let the men handle this one ;D

Asura's Wrath9

As I look at the critic and user score for this game, I also reference the little stats bar on the right. I notice the games with the highest scores are: Skyrim, Kingdoms of Amalur, Dark Souls, MW3, Batman, FFXIII-2. May I ask, what is so great about these games? Is it the fact that they are all nothing more than cop n' pasted remakes of every other game on the shelf? Why are you people so obsessed with redundancy? Skyrim, Dark Souls, KoA are all pretty much the same game, with slightly different stories... Batman (while I did enjoy it) is nothing more than Assassins Creed/Spiderman starring Batman... Asura's Wrath is not a completely original game, there was Indigo Prophecy for ps2/xbox 1 and Ninja Blade, which involved a little less QTE and story, but alot of the same gameplay devices. I love Asura's Wrath because it uses these dwevices and delivers an amazing story (ableit a not so original story of betrayal and revenge) but throwing their own style into it. While everyone seems to be complaining about quick time events, I like thm. I remember in many other games, during cut scenes, it would show your character doing all sorts of bad ass moves and destroying what would be considered a boss with just a few devastating blows. However, you can never do so yourself. The QTE in this game serve it's purpose as allowing hte player t execute these moves. It is a highly immersive game, with a well executed story, awesome graphics. If you want a game where you just run and gun, or do endless worthless fetch quests, this is not for you. If you enjoy a well told story, enjoy watching anime/movies, with a little DMC and QTE peppered in, this game is absolutely awesome!!!

This game = horrible! Vaan, can anyone say Tidus? Actually, the even lamer version of Tidus... WTF is up with the gambit system? I would rather play some stupid hack n slash where I mash a button, as opposed to running around doing nothing but watching animations on screen. I didn't get far enough into it to know where the story goes, nor do I really care. The gameplay is just so stupid and boring that I just can't immerse myself into the story. By the time I get to the next cut-scene, dialogue, etc, I am so bored that I am more worried about finding a save point (just in case I get bored enough to try and play this again) than pay any attention to what any of these people have to say. FF XIII, same thing, a button masher disguised as a 'fast-paced turn based system'. Square, rid yourself of that disease known as Enix, and please have some sense in creating the great games you were once known for! If you really want to change your battle system, take notes from the Shadow Hearts franchise. Those games had by far the best turn based mechanics, EVER! Not the dumbed down 'play the game for you' mechanics of this trash!

Why am I not seeing anyone writing about what I believe to be the worst part about this game. The Zombies level-scaling! WTF?!?!?! Seriously? Zombies are dead, the dead decay, therefore, if anything, zombies should get weaker over time. Which I don't think they have to, but keeping even the weakest the zombies just as strong as the player throughout the game? LAME! What's the point of leveling up or getting and upgrading new and stronger weapons, if it doesn't even freaking matter!?!?!?! Well? Can someone explain the plus to this? Regardless of where you are in the game, and what weapons you have (Aside from firearms later in the game). They are just as hard as the first zombie you beat with a crappy oar. This makes the game feel as if there's no character progression, because you don't get stronger. Well, you do get stronger, but so do the zombies. I can understand making the hordes larger, throwing the new stronger enemy types, but keep the weak zombies in their place, and throw the strong enemies at you. The endless fetch quests area bit annoying, as well. Once again though, if you're not going to feel any stronger after accumulating XP and levels and new weapons, then wtf is the point of even doing the dumb a$$ fetch-side-quests? I'm going to just play through only doing just the main story quests, and probably beat this travesty in 5 hours, considering the game is focused on millions of repetitive crappy side quests to give it any meat. As I mentioned before, no point in doing side quests and leveling up if there's no real reward for doing so, aside from wasting time that could be spent playing a better game.

Rise of Nightmares9

I think the problem with most professional reviewers is they only play Kinect when reviewing a Kinect title. If you don't play Kinect and go pick this game up and start playing, it's going to be hard to control because you are not used to making sure you are at a certain location (being far enough or close enough/ center of the screen) You may find that with all of your movement in this game that you will have to stop n take a look at where you are positioned and reposition yourself for the controls to be accurate. As long as you do this, the controls in this game are so tight! Tighter than any Kinect game yet. Like I said though, if you're not used to playing Kinect or aren't well coordinated/bad balance, this game will take some getting used to. As for the story and graphics, you have to look at it from a perspective that differs from that of most games this generation. Perhaps not the story, because most games these days have little to no/horrible story and plot points. So, in light of that, the story isn't bad, expect some good twists toward the end. The graphics, much like the story, are meant to be somewhat campy and cheesy. This game completely reminds me of my younger days watching tons of TROMA, as well as many other B-movies! This is by far the best Kinect game out, in my opinion, and I have played all of them, aside from fighters uncaged, because even from people I know that play Kinect, it's boring and the controls ****. It's waaaaayyyyy better than Child of Eden, but of course the lazy reviewers love that game, because all you do is stand still and wave your arms around in circles, while listening to techno. LAME! So, if you have Kinect, and have been waiting for a game that's worth your time go get Rise of Nightmares! You will not be disappointed.
