Call of Duty: Black Ops II8

I haven't played the single payer campaign yet (and most people aren't buying it for single player) so I can't comment on that but my score is from what I have experienced on multiplayer and zombies. The changes to the class creation system are fantastic. The pick 10 system is genius and really lets you play how you want to. It was a bit confusing at first but I soon got to grips with it. The maps have been great to play on and the whole presentation has been given a facelift. For zombies, the maps are brilliant and tranzit is amazing. If you loved the zombies on the first game then you will like this one. Overall I am very happy with the game so far and intend to put a lot of hours into both of these modes.

Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational9

A brilliant addition to the series that has a lot of charm combined with fantastic gameplay. The graphics could be sharper but that's a minor gripe. There are challenges that will keep you coming back as well as a shop full of things to buy with your hard earned coins. A great game overall and difinitely recommended

FIFA Soccer (2012)8

Graphically this is on par with the console versions but it is missing an ad hoc mode. This seems bizarre but at least there is online play. There are plenty of game modes to keep you busy and the be a pro mode is just like the console version. This really is like having the console version on the go

Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice9

I'm a big fan of SRPGs and this game delivers with story (nothing serious mind you), characters and content. There is so much to do in this game as well as all the DLC that has ever been released. This is the definitive version of the game.

Metal Gear Solid HD Edition9

I haven't played these games since the days of the PS2 but they still hold up today. They are both fantastic games with brilliant graphics and the gameplay is still as good as ever. There should be no doubt that everyone should get this game. If I was to have any problems it would be that Peace Walker is missing but you are still getting two of the best games that were released on the PS2

Mortal Kombat (2011)8
Aug 3, 2012
There is a lot to do in this game with two challenge towers and the story mode so it will definitely keep you busy. The game runs smoothly as well but there are some issues with low res textures in places on the characters. It's hardly a deal breaker though and this is a fantastic Mortal Kombat game

This is the most impressive game for the VIta in terms of graphics. the game runs smoothly and the soundtrack is excellent. The only problem with the game is the long load times but you soon forget that when you are racing. Overall this is a must have game for every Vita owner

Dungeon Hunter: Alliance8
May 25, 2012
I bought this game just to get some kind of RPG experience on the Vita and I was quite suprised. the game runs very well with great presentation. It's not as crisp as I would have hoped but it does look good. The 3 character classes require very different strategies to use and there is a lot of loot to pick up. The online play worked very well for me doing dungeons with 3 other people. The only negative really is that the price is too high considering it is cheaper on the PSN for PS3 but apart from that I thought it was a decent game.

This game is a bit of a puzzle simply because it has no story. Without that goal you can feel a bit lost but the gameplay itself is fantastic. Yes the AI isn't the best but the missions play out brilliantly especially the stealth ones. The lack of story didn't really concern me as it was never hyped up to actually have a story so for me it was just about doing the missions. There are high value target missions to unlock and there are dynamic missions which throw random objectives for whichever of the 36 levels you choose. Overall it is a very competent shooter and deserves a chance.

ModNation Racers: Road Trip6
May 25, 2012
This game had great potential but is let down by some fundamental things that are missing. There is no online play which for a racer is crazy, especially a community racer such as this. Secondly, the game isn't running at the Vitas native resolution and can look blurry. There can also be framerate issues at times as well. I have still had a lot of fun with this and the editing options works really well with the touch screen. It's not quite pick up and play though due to the long loading times before each race. It's worth a purchase if you see it cheap but don't expect this to be the best racer on the VIta

Rayman Origins10

If you like platformers then you will love this. It's is the most gorgeous looking game I have seen. The colours in the game really stand out on the Vita and every level is a pleasure to complete. There are the typical cages to find as well as artifacts, extra characters to unlock and time trials to run. This is quite simply a brilliant game and is a must but even if it doesn't have multiplayer.

Uncharted: Golden Abyss9
May 25, 2012
Uncharted Golden Abyss is one of the best looking handheld games I have ever played and should be part of any Vita owners collection. The story isn't going to win any awards but the characters, script and voice acting are all brilliant. the graphics are unbelievable for a handheld and any videos you see of this game do not do it justice. The touch screens features are all implemented fairly well and moving the VIta to aim the sniper rifle works perfectly. All in all this is a must buy for any Vita owner

Dynasty Warriors Next9

The DW series doesn't really do innovation but this port onto the Vita is spectacular. The graphics are better than the console IMO. The details on the characters is fantastic. The game is played in a DW empires fashion and the story will progress as it should giving you the chance to help your army with strategies. The conquest mode will let you choose your characters to conquer china and the edit mode returns. There are also mini games to do as well which take advantage of the Vitas features. There is a lot of content here and a lot of hours to be had with the game. For any DW fan this is a must buy.
